Goodday folks! I'm Michael Joyce. The setting was the mid-sized and friendly city of Winston-Salem, NC. It was the year 1~9~7~8, when I was brought into this world. The 2nd glorious year of our beloved James E. Carter. Nestled in the loving arms of both the beautiful Jennifer B. Joyce, and the Co-pres, salesman extraordinaire Thomas Joyce Sr. (of Joyce Brothers, Inc.) I grew up to become a healthy young pup (if I do say so myself). During my salad days in high school, I started my "foundation of life." In those four years, I began my study of Heng Shan Do Gongfu, and my love for aviation (thanks greatly to John Smoot, my teacher and friend). It wasn't till recently though, that I found the love of my life. That's her beside me in the picture. Molly attends UNC-Chapel Hill and plans to major in Education..

My aspirations from this point on are: graduate with a degree in Fitness & Nutrition from UNC-Greensboro...meanwhile, teaching Yang Style Taijiquan (& martial applications) either in a club or at a local YMCA. Journey back up north to St.Louis and become an apprentice with my Chen Style instructor & friend, Herb "Sihing" Parran. Then, after "mastering" Chen Style, journey back to North Carolina and form a Chinese Wushu school where I will teach these Chinese Treasures: Yang & Chen Style Taijiquan & White Crane Gongfu...(during the while, attending courses directing me towards my PhD in Fitness...thus, making me a more marketable source in my distribution of books on Chinese Martial Arts). All of this, is termed as my "Five year plan". I know that "the beginning of any journey is always the first step," but I know that all that I need is my patience and my Molly to (keep me grounded). But! I'll keep you, my faithful droogs, informed if anything new arises.

This littl' fella is Grimlock. A quick and lovable hacthling bearded dragon. Grimmy is approxiametly four weeks old and is a nice deep color for its' age. I still have my adult female beardie, Judea Ben Hur, however, I want to put up a more recent picture of her. |
