Unable to grab himself a regular
slot in Liverpool's central midfield as yet, David went on loan to Swindon
last November and impressed the manager, Steve McMahon, a former Anfield
hero, with his attitude and commitment.
Was a massive success at Town during his two-month stint, turning in several outstanding performances, the best of the lot coming when he inspired Swindon to a 4-1 home win over their local rivals, Oxford. Skilful on the ball, and an excellent passer, he was just the type of player Steve would love to have signed, and showed himself to potentially be one of the Premiership's stars of the future. |
