(If you are, maybe you should visit this site first. If you still didn't get your fill from those, um, "interesting" links, by all means, flame on!...though I shall be a bit mighty concerned about that...)
(It will be ironic if I get hate mail for writing down my opinions on hate mail. Anyway, I am only half-serious about this but if you are gonna read through it, bear in mind that my opinions here do bear some importance.)

Okay, I just had to include this. What the hell is wrong with some of you people? Why do you waste your time and enjoy writing hate email to complete strangers? Did I force you to view this Smash mouth fan page? If you're going to be insulting, please do so with some semi-well-thought-out negative opinions and not with monosyllabic ramblings.
Anyway, here is a list of the common insults/accusations I have received (there are so many more you wouldn't believe it):
DIRECTED
TO SMASH MOUTH:
They're just
a one-hit wonder
meaning they
have only heard one song from them; furthermore, if they are a "one-hit
wonder" (i am aware of the fickleness of human beings) i really don't give
a crap: i love their music and that's my opinion
"Walkin'
On The Sun" is overrated
meaning they
can't handle "mainstream" music because they're way too cool for that
They're an
ugly-looking group
what the hell
does this have to do with their music?
They suck
how very objective...
Smash Mouth
is a pre-packaged ska band created by "the industry" to feed the fad-hungry
masses...etc., etc., etc.....
enough of this
already!!! consider these first before you get your briefs, panties, boxers
in a bunch:
- a. "the
industry" is an illusion created by the fevered imagination of the so-called
"elite" music "lovers" who won't be caught dead listening to a "fad" music.
they only listen to what in their opinion is "timeless & memorable"
music so they end up labelling "mainstream music" as fads.
b. everything and everyone is a fad. unless you have eternal life (metaphysical and metaphoric ideas excluded), then timeless and memorable music is just an illusion, a romantic ideal.
