History:
MENTALITY is formed in summer 1995 after break-up of the bands the members played in. The story began
after Miro Kopas and Pato Jantosik bought their instruments. Since there was no better rehearsal place they started to play in cellar of 2 square meters. Later Rasto Petrovic the drummer joined the band and finally Vlado Jarkovsky came to strengthen MENTALITY. Immediately they embarked to compose the song than tended to proper brutality. They needed a robust throat and they found it in figure of Vlado Carvagus. In that age they used to rehearse in Rasto´s cottage. Up to those days the band´s genre could be specified as usual death-grind. Slightly later they liked the vitalisation of their music and they chose the keyboard. The idea was brought to life by Miro´s brother. Their music lost nothing on its brutality, just the border of their facilities enlarged. In january 1996 the first material "The Inexperienced Butcher" is recorded, and is released in same year. The
recording works ran in famous Exponent studio, Slovakia. Even if the propagation did not get the first level interest of the band, many people got know about them and acknowledged the originality of their music. Mean while band gives a huge of gigs. Last summer the band drop in the studio again and recorded the new material. Album contains 8 songs and 4 of them was chosen for promotape that are sent to fanzines and labels all over the world. So far the responses are more than positive. Last the bass guitarist left the band.
