Apparently this album was written in a giant session right after Mary's cancer scare. The album's title comes from a book of the same name and has something to do with aliens.

The track listing is a bit confusing. There are 14 songs listed but the CD splits the track list into 24 different tracks. The LP has 18 different bands. And as for the tape, it's no help. Some of the songs appear to not have names. The song "What Happened To Malcolm" is on this album but is not listed.

The Joy Toy Remix of "S.P.A.C.E." that is featured on the S.P.A.C.E. EP is a different mix than the one on the From The Tomb of The Near Legendary compilation.
