Please Please Me - Released in the UK on March 22, 1963 and became No. 1 seven weeks later where it stayed at No. 1 for 29 weeks. Released in the US by Vee Jay and titled Introducing the Beatles which didn't place on the charts. Recorded February 11, 1963 in a 13-hour session.

With the Beatles - Released in the UK on November 22, 1963 and entered the charts at No. 1 five days later, bumping Please Please Me from No. 1. It stayed at No. 1 for 21 weeks and was the second album in the UK to sell a million copies. Released in the US on January 20, 1964 where it sold 750,000 copies in the first week and a total of 3.65 million copies by Mid-March. Recorded between July 18 and October 23, 1963 at Abbey Road.

 A Hard Day's Night - Released in the UK on July 10, 1964, entered the charts at No. 1 five days later and remained there for 21 weeks until Beatles for Sales took its position. Released in the US on June 26, 1964 and became No. 1 by late July where it stayed for fourteen weeks. Recorded in two batches: between February 25-March 1 and June 1-2, 1964. This is the only Beatles album to feature all Lennon/McCartney songs.

Beatles for Sale - Released in the UK on December 4, 1964 and entered the charts at No. 1 five days later, replacing A Hard Day's Night, and stayed at No. 1 for 9 weeks. Released in the US on December 15, 1964 under the title Beatles '65 and sold more than a million copies in the first week of release. Recorded August 11-October 26, 1964 at Abbey Road.

Help! – Released in the UK on August 6, 1965 and entered the charts at No. 1 on August 11th, remaining there for eleven weeks. Released in the US on August 13, 1965 where it immediately qualified as a gold records because of advance orders of a million copies (the first time ever in the recording industry). It reached No. 1 on September 11 where it stayed for nine weeks. Recorded during two time periods: February 15-19 and June 14-17, 1965.

Rubber Soul – Released in the UK on December 3, 1965 and entered the charts at No. 1 where it stayed for twelve weeks. Released in the US on December 6, 1965. It rose to No. 1 in early January and remained there for six weeks. It sold 1.2 million copies in the US in the first nine days after release. Recorded October 12-November11, 1965 at Abbey Road.

Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band – Released in the UK on June 1, 1967 and entered the charts at No. 1, selling 250,000 copies within the first week. Released in the US on June 2, 1967. Advance sales were 1 million which rose to 2.5 million copies in the first three months of release. It stayed in the Top 100 for 85 weeks. In West Germany it sold 100,000 copies in its first week of release. It was the best-selling British album of all time until the Abbey Road album. By mid-1987 it had sold an estimated 15 million copies. Recorded December 6, 1966 through April 3, 1967 at Abbey Road and Regent Sound Studio. It took more than 700 hours to record and cost approximately $75,000 to make.

Magical Mystery Tour – Released in the UK on December 8, 1967 and only got as high as No. 2. Released in the US on November 27, 1967 and was No. 1 by January 8 and stayed there for eight weeks. This album brought in more than 8 million dollars within three weeks of its release. Recorded April 25-November 7, 1967 at Abbey Road, De Lane Lea, and Chappell recording studios.

Yellow Submarine – Released in the UK January 17, 1969 and entered the album chart at No. 9 and then climbed to No. 3 where it stayed for two weeks. Released in the US on January 13, 1969 and didn’t enter the charts until February 8 when it hit No. 86 and then climbed to No. 2 for one week. Recorded sporadically between February 13, 1967 and February 11, 1968.

The Beatles (The White Album) – Released in the UK on November 22, 1968 and entered the charts at November 27 at No. 1 where it stayed for nine weeks. Released in the US on November 25, 1968 with advance orders of 1.9 million copies. It entered the charts on December 14 at No. 11 and rose to No. 1 two weeks later where it stayed for nine weeks. World-wide sales reached more than 4 million copies one month after its release. The Beatles was the best-selling double album in history until Saturday Night Fever beat it in 1977. Recorded May 30-October 14, 1968 which was the longest time the Beatles ever took to record an album. It is estimated that each song on the album took an average of thirty hours to record.
