Chapel of Bride
Style: Classic Heavy Metal
Taken from the Nov/Dec98 HM Sampler disc
"...They see themselves as something they're not. What do they do when the thrill wears off? When they fall who picks them up? Who do they turn to when they need love? Where are they going, in what direction? In the dark there's no satisfaction. When you here the wings beat the stinging air. Don't let the reaper blind you with his stare. One magical night, running from the light..."
From the song All Hallows Eve

What can you say about Bride except that they are the best of the best. I followed Bride even when I was listening to other types of music. Bride may not be the heaviest group in metal, but these guys rock. Bride's lyrics give them the extra push they need to be the best. No matter what the issue Bride probably has a song about it. Bride not only ministers to the lost, but they
also minister to the saved. If I ever had a complaint about Christian music before it was that they only seemed to go after the lost and never minster to the saved. I know now that is not true and I was wrong even back then. Bride's sound has changed with the years. Early Bride and Modern Bride sound like to different bands. It's hard to say which of Bride's styles I like the best. Their is such a variety it's hard to compare. Although the old style of Bride would not fit in as well to todays style of Heavy Metal. In my opinion "Snakes In The Playground" was Bride's best album, but the new album "Jesus Experience" and the old album "Live to Die" are very close. I saw these guys perform at Tau-Fest 2000 and after almost twenty years in the business these guys still rock. I was deaf for two days after they played. They're new album "Fist Full of Bees" is a mix between heavy metal and somewhat rap(this is my only complaint about the album, but it is more like spoken words not rapin the vain of Rage Against The Machine).
The Center Pieces of My Bride Collection
Cover from Silence is Madness, I was lucky enough to buy the cd when it first came out
The Cover from Show No Mercy, which was by another stroke of luck. I bought the LP, still sealed, at cornerstone from Bride. I was also able to get Dale and Troy to sign it.
