Deliverance started out as a Speed/Thrash Metal band, and they were awesome. "Stay Of Execution" was the last speed metal they put out. There are signs of what was to come in that album as well. "Learn" was the first album of the new deliverance. It is more of crunchy grunge metal. They also changed vocal styles to a David Bowie sound. I think Deliverance made a better Speed Metal band. But the last three albums are very good and definitly desreve a listen. Last I've heard is that Jimmy Brown has started another group called Fearful Symmetry. But the idea of a Deliverance reunion is being seriously tossed around. The Band did reunite and played at Cornerstone 2001 and also put out a new album. The Band consisted of Manny Morales (bass), David Gilbreath (keys), Brian Wiech (drums & percussion), Jimmy Brown II (guitar & vocals. Although I haven't heard the new album I have heard lots of good compliments on it. The way it was described to me was it is the later style of Deliverance with the old guitars.
