The Prophet

Dov Elkabas had a tremendous hit on Pengo Records with 'Big Boys don't cry' not long after 'I love you', 'Alright now, here we go' and 'Dominatin'. Everybody knows by now that he started out as a Hip Hop Dj and while playing at clubs like Amsterdam's Aknathon he advanced his mixing skills to a higher level.

After playing at the first raves in Holland he got hooked to Techno and he realized that his music was the future to him. He played at raves like Thunderdome, Energy, and Hellraiser and founded the Dreamteam after successfully producing together with Buzz Fuzz and Dano.

His success as a Dj and producer got him a professional recording studio and a great label called Boedha Records.

DJ Buzz Fuzz

People like to refer to him as a clown and absolute wacko, but Mark Vos is definitly one of the best Dj's in the Hardcore scene today. After experimenting with Swing Beat at clubs like Zorba, Cash and The Metropool, he got himself a gig on a House party at the van Galenhal in Amsterdam. This is also where he first met The Prophet with whom he would later found the Dreamteam.

It took Mark a while to learn his way around in the studio, but once he got the hang of it, he never stopped improving his producing skills. That's why today Mark manages Bzrk records, one of the most popular labels in the scene ever since the legendary release of XTC-Love by Bertocucci Feranzano for which Mark did a remix. Buzzy has a lot of friends in the Italian scene and guys like Toni Salmonelli and Phil Omanski would have never been introduced in the Dutch scene if it wasn't for him...

DJ Gizmo

Ferry Salee is not just another successful Dj. Dj Gizmo he rocks clubs and parties at least every weekend and kicks off great releases on his label Dwarf Records. After Dano, Buzz Fuzz, and The Prophet finally decided to let him become part of the Dreamteam things really started to work out for him. He has a tremendous list of successful together with the Dark Raver.

His biggest achievement was winning the award 'Best international Dj' in Switserland earlier this year.

DJ Dano

After his start in the scene as a Dj for illegal radio stations and writer for magazines he became club Dj and started to produce Techno at home. Together with Buzz Fuzz and The Prophet he founded the Dreamteam and he's had a whole stack of hits here and there. Through the years he slowly started to evolve from a Hardcore - to a Hardtrance producer and nowdays the man still does so many different productions for so many different labels and companies that everybody has to give him credit for being the most allround artist in the scene for quiet some time now.

Dano is also one of the few Dutch Dj's that played at Mayday in Germany.

DJ Weirdo

Due to his advanced skill in selecting and mixing records which he build with playing House and Techno records in his home studio, ID&T invited him to play at the first Thunderdome party. His performance was above average and as a matter of fact so nice that he immediately received bookings for the next Thunderdome parties and naturally, due to the potential influence of these parties, he gained a lot of respect and various clubs started to book him for Dj performances all over Holland. Later he started a successful record label called Bad Vibes Records, which he managed from his record shop Bad Vibes Dance Basement in Alkmaar. This was also the label that featured his first musical production 'Rights is wrong' by 'Jean Sibart & Joel Trambel', a co-production with The Prophet which got licensed for Thunderdome 5 and nine other compilations.. No need to say that today Weirdo is still a respected Dj/producer with performances on parties like Hellraiser, EarthQuake, Thunderdome, Magic Kingdom in Switserland and productions like for example 'Go get busy' on Pengo records.

DJ Dark Raver

Steve "The Dark Raver" started playing house music 3 years ago at "Parkzicht" in Rotterdam. He did this together with Dj Rob. In 1991 he started working for "Stad Den Haag Records".

Besides showing up at every Rave throughout the country, he also makes records (most of the time together with his buddy Dj Gizmo). His message to all ravers: "Don't use drugs but: HAK met je GABBERS".

DJ Rob

Dj Rob has been working in the house-scene for 7 years now. The dutch music-magazine "Oor" once proclaimed "Parkzicht" in Rotterdam, the club where he worked for 5 years, as the best Hardcore/House club in Holland. Dj Rob was the first Dj who used a MC (MC Joe) and a roland TR909 keyboard while he was playing. By many people he is seen at the man who gave birth to Hardcore. At the moment rob is often asked in Holland and the foreign countries to play in clubs and at the wellknow raves. Because of this big demand it is difficult for Rob to combine this with Parkzicht. When he has got any time left, Dj Rob also produces records. Records like "Rotterdam", "Feel the rythm of the house", "Boy's Interface", "The beat is flown", "Loving you","Tama" etc. have been all very successful.

Lady Dana

Lady Dana used to visit many parties, just because she loved the music. It was never her intention to become a Dj,but only one and a half years ago friend of hers invited her, as a joke, to pitch and mix a record on a party. You can imagine how surprised everybody was when she managed to mix it like a skilled Dj would.

One of the promotors of this party was very impressed and came up to her to book her for his next gig called Iniversal Dance, a party to be thrown in Amsterdam. He managed to convince her of her talent ans so she played. Fortunately, because she hasn't stopped ever since and today she is one of the most respected Dj's in the club scene who's looking forward to bookings for major parties in & out of Europe...

DJ Waxweazle

It all started for Rod Fabrie when he started producing Techo with a very good friend of his called Richard van Naamen. Together did a few demo's before Paul Elstak joined the group. The three of them founded Holy Noise a few years ago and were very successful with tracks like for example James Brown is dead and the Nightmare. After they decided to split up, Rob continued producing for labels like Terror Trax, Dance International or ID&T Music and started using the name DJ Waxweazle.

Due to his successful releases clubs and promotors book him for Dj performances weekly and he got offered his won label Waxweazle Vinyl which today he successfully manages from his studio in Rotterdam.

DJ Delirium

Jeremy Malvasia's vareer gegan in New York City where he mostly played early York City house music from Dj's like Franky Jones, Lenny Dee and Todd Terry. Later he moved to Florida to experiment with Miami Bass music which he combined with his New york Electro House sounds. His tracks on Mind Candy Volumes 1 & 2 were his first European appearances and his break through came with The Mind Destroyer (also on Thunderdome 3) which he produced in 1993. He reinforced his European position with two releases on 12" records and Let's get wappie (together with Rob Gee, Dj Buzz Fuzz and Dj Gizmo). Later releases were for example Do you wanna dance, The Party starter, Be Happy! and The Rythm's on time (with Guitar-Rob)...

DJ Bass-D & King Matthew

Eugenio Dorward a.k.a Dj Bass-D started out as a hip hop Dj in club 45 in Bussum, Holland. He met Mathijs Hazenleger at Airpeace radio in Leylstad, where he was booked for a guest performance, not long after he won the DMC mix championships in 1991. The two decided to hook up for working together and produced a couple of tracks together. Their first release was an ep for Bloody Cow records and they got to open the at the time brand new label Bad Vibes records.

DJ Rob Gee

Though it has become a cliche to refer to groundbreaking music as being unlike anything else on the market, Rob Gee is just that-unique in every way. Despite the mediocrity of standard electronis music, gee is determi- ned to break the mold of what people call dance music by opening his style to a wider scope of listeners. He achives this by bringing together his eclectic taste in music, ranging from speed metal to hip hop to techno and molding them conccurrently into one powerhouse of a song.

Gee began Djing in his early teens nearly ten years ago. His indecisiveness as whether or not to break dance and spin hip hop or jump in the mosh pit and play in a metal band was one of the reasons he began to cultivate his won style of both. Since refining his Dj skills and producing his own original music, Gee has toured throughout the world, playing numerous events in Holland, France, Germany, England, Austria and Switserland, to name a few.

DJ Paul Elstak

After the success of Holy Noise Paul made a record deal with Mid-Town and started his own label Rotterdam Records to give other artists a chance to release their home productions as well. Rotterdam records turned out to be an enormous success and gained international fame and respect for the Ducth hardcore scene.

1995 has been the most successful year for Paul so far, he's actually the first underground Dj to make his way into the Ducth charts three times in a row without loosing the spirit for the Hardcore scene that made him big.

He played on raves like Rezerection, Thunderdome, Earthquake, and A Nightmare in Rotterdam. Today Dj Paul os definetly one of the most popular Dj's in europe.

DJ Charly Lownoise

Ramon Roelofs started DJ-career on several parties throughout Holland. After a while he began to make his own music which led him to a big success with "Rave this Nation" under the name R.J's Rule. Charly acted on several big raves and his favourites are "Rave the City II, the Thunderdome raves and Dance To Eden the 10th April 1993. Together with Menthal Theo he started the Speedcity tour. This special act was present at most houseparty's in 1993 and 1994. In the summer of 1994 they had a big hit with "live at London" and this was the beginning of a new episode.

DJ Menthal Theo

Theo Nabuurs acted as DJ. Menthal Theo and with Speedcity on several big raves throughout the world (Baustellen Rave (Germany), Brooklyn rave NY, Thundedome, Nightmare, Megarave, Techno Trance Rave (Italy), Dance To Eden). With "Wonderful days" and "Stars" he and Charly became famous all over Europe.

Public Domain

Although the name is very new to everybody, Jorn Hanneman and Francois Zoontjes have been around. Francois is a regular guest in Club-X and Kandace while while Jorn has been mixing Trance records under a different name. The breakthrough for them came with a release on Bonzai Jumps called Dj Francois and Jeremy's Guns, smoke and fire.

During the Thunderdome Tour earlier this year they got several chances to show their capability to perform live in front of large crowds and their success got them a gig at Thunderdome in Oberhausen and Digital Overdose in Amsterdam. Their ep In the house on Bzrk records sold out in three weeks and the follow-up called Meat Beat is about to be released...
