ANOMALY

          Very little is known about Anomaly. But what is known is chronicled here.  Anomaly is a human male (as far as anyone knows), actually a rather large human male. 6’3”, 260 lbs, and muscular.   Very few details are known about his past except that it is dark and he was at some point tide to the underworld. Anomaly is proficient with almost any type of  weapon but particularly knives and swords. He is also very adept at martial arts.  His age is approximated at late 20’s to mid 30’s no one really knows for sure.
 
          Anomaly keeps to himself for the most part, but is always there when the clan needs him whether he has been called or not.  It is known that Anomaly has a great deal of knowledge about magic and arcana.  It is suspected among many of the clan that he may actually have magical skills.  Almost all of the clan have seen the tattoos which cover Anomaly’s back, they are all magical symbols for protection against magical attack, except for one that he won't
talk about.

          It is strange for a human to be associated with a gargoyle clan, but Anomaly’s
motivations are beyond question.  Late one night an elderly gargoyle was attracted to the sounds of gun fire in an alley in Ottawa’s Byward Market.  The gargoyle watched as two men chased Anomaly, who was bleeding from a gunshot wound, towards the canal. There they shot him again and threw him into the water, leaving him for dead.  The Gargoyle rescued Anomaly and nursed him to health.  The strange thing was that Anomaly was not surprised at the sight of the gargoyle, and seem to know much about the species.  Once Anomaly was healthy the elderly gargoyle took him to the clan explaining that this human could be trusted and even helpful.  No one has ever seen the elderly gargoyle since nor does anyone seem to know who he was.

          Since his introduction to the clan, Anomaly has been of great service being able to attend to all manner of things day or night.  Anomaly has also been a great help to the clan concerning financial matters somehow funneling and hiding funds through his underworld contacts.  In this way the clan is able to have it's material needs met by the meagre resources available to them.  The clan has Anomaly’s assurances that nothing immoral is involved in the financial dealings, unless you consider not paying taxes immoral.

          As his name implies Anomaly is just that, a riddle wrapped in a mystery.
