Born in the French section of the Louisiana Bayou, Jean Paul Lecroix spent
most of the early part of his life with his father who was in the military.
After recieving a basic education he joined the army at age 17 and quickly
showed off his skill for stealth and covert operations.
In 1974 at the age of 24, while on shore leave in France, he met Celeste
Coustou and immediatly fell in love. Over the course of the following
year he spent nearly every free moment with Celeste and eventually they
got married. With a child on the way Jean volunteered for a special
project which had stated that it would pay roughly double his usual year
end salary. Unfortunatly this was proven to be the start of the end
for Jean as he was not selected to test a weapon but to BE the weapon.
For eight long months he was transrformed and changed from the man he was
to the living soldier of project: Shadow. During a sporadic power
surge, Jean broke free from his containment cell and after levelling the
complex by mistake he began the long trek back home. Once back in
Louisiana he called his wife to tell her that he was okay but that she
should pack straight away and be prepared to leave as soon as he arrived.
He knew that the army would trace him there which is why he had to get
his family out of there. Tragically, no sooner did he arrive home
then he found his pregnant wife shot to death in the living room of his
home. Looking around he found a note that told him that the same
general who had supervised project:Shadow had also been responsible for
his wife's death. Refusing to surrender himself back to the Government
but not wanting to risk his other friends, he went under ground.
Using his prowess at weapon designs and skills as a warrior, he made himself
in the self-styled mercenary called Shadow Master.
Making a living as a contractor/kidnapper/theif he slowly made a name for
himself but foremost in his mind is not the richs and fame but to track
down and kill the man who ordered his wife's murder. When that day
comes, as it surely must, he will show the butcher why what he can't see
can hurt him!
