Wingless is 6 feet, 10 inches in height, blue grey in colour.  He has sandy coloured hair(which is receding slightly in front - exposing medium sized horns on ether side of his forehead.  His most noticeable trait, from a gargoyle standpoint, is his lack of wings.  All that is visible are stubs protruding from his back, slightly visible from the front(rising above each shoulder.)  He wears a loincloth with belt, along with a cape to conceal his lack of wings.  Wingless also carries a small dagger in his belt for hunting and protection - given to him by his clan's leader.

Wingless is a quiet individual.  Though a little naive at times - he is a very level headed and is not quick to anger like many gargoyles.  He would rather think his way out of a situation than start a battle - although Wingless is still a very capable warrior.

Wingless was hatched into a fairly large clan of gargoyles.  The reason for his lack of wings is unknown to him(whether it caused by a birth defect or they were damaged at a very young age while in stone sleep.)   Among the other hatchlings, Wingless is initially well accepted, but as he ages, Wingless learns that many of the elder gargoyles are not willing to accept him(most notably - the clan's second in command).  The SIC holds some sort of anger towards Wingless - for reasons unknown to the young gargoyle.  As time goes on, the Second in command begins to turn many of the clan members against Wingless(even many of his rookery siblings begin to alienate him.)

As time goes on, the clan experiences several unprovoked attacks from human bandits.  Many of the clan are injured - including several that were attempting to protect the grounded hatchling.  Fuelled by these attacks-the clan's SIC charges that Wingless  has become a burden to the clan and is a threat to their safety.  The SIC demands that Wingless be banished from the clan.  The clan's leader(who cares a great deal for the young wingless gargoyle)argues against this - but the majority of the elder clan members support the SIC's demands.  Wingless is angered by the clan's decision, but accepts it in order to keep his clan safe.  At the age of 15 human years - Wingless is sent out on his own.  Apon leaving, Wingless vows to return one day to prove that, wings or no wings, he is still a gargoyle and is capable of contributing and protecting his clan.

Wingless spends the next 18 years of his life in almost complete solitude - meeting only the occasional human(most of which are afraid of him).   Wingless does save the life of a elder human who was drowning in a river.  The human turns out to be a wizard and in gratitude for saving his life, the wizard begins to teach Wingless the ways of magic.  Within a year - the wizard passes on and Wingless is alonee once more, but now has the gift of a few basic magic skills.

Upon returning to his ancestral home, Wingless discovers his clan is gone.  To this day, he continues the search for his clan in the hope of finally being accepted among his own.

Among Wingless's modern day persuites, He enjoys listening & collecting music from the 1950's-1980's, animation, computers(especially chatting) and likes to help people(part of his natural Gargoyle instinct, of course)
