Lucy and Desi's New Ranch from TV Stage magazine, June 1954 TV's most popular couple, Lucy and Desi, nowadays find that the "living is easy," particularly in Palm Springs were they have just finished building a beautiful ranch house. The ranch, called the Thunderbird, encompasses approximately 4,400 square feet and includes six bedrooms with separate bedrooms for little Lucy and Desi, separated by an extensive nursery. Other features of the ranch include air conditioning, a swimming pool and a lanai (Hawaiian version of a veranda). A wall of glass separates the patio from the living-dining room area. In keeping with the Palm Springs surroundings, the house is done in desert tones.
