Captive

It was a grey, dreary day in Hazzard, though it did little to damper the good mood that Bo and Luke Duke were in. They raced along the back dirt roads of Hazzard County. Going nowhere in particular. Their orange car, the General Lee, splashed through the large puddles that had formed in the road from the past few days of rain. The weather had been cold and rainy the past few days, but the Duke boys were still in high spirts. Everything else had been going right for them that week. The had not been accused of any false charges by Boss J.D. Hogg and Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane, which is normally an everyday occurance. At the start of the week they won five hundred dollars in a race in Greenville.
As Luke drove, Bo glanced out the side window. Dark clouds had started to gather over the horizon.
"Looks like it is gonna storm again." Bo commented. The sound of distant thunder rolled across the sky as though to prove Bo's statement.
"Yeah." Luke agrees, glancing over at the dark clouds that had started to form. "Maybe we should head back to the farm so we don't get caught out in it."
Luke turned the General around and headed back towards the Duke farm. Neither had anyway of knowing that it wasn't the only storm that would be soon entering their lives. A far worse storm loomed threateningly ahead for them. Although this storm was not one created by nature, it was far worse. It was more serious and perhaps more deadly then they could imagine.
They arrived at the farm just as the first drops of rain had started to fall. They parked the General in the barn next to Dixie, their cousin Daisy's jeep.  The rain quickly started to pour down. The boys were just walking  out of the barn, when the rain started to pour. It was raining so hard that they couldn't even see the house from the barn. They ran towards the house, Luke beating Bo to the door by mere seconds. Even in that short time the two of them had got quite wet. Jesse and Daisy were in the kitchen starting to prepare dinner.
"Glad you two got in before that storm." Jesse said.
Bo and Luke went into the front room and stood over by the fire to warm up. Outside the storm steadily grew worse. They could hear the wind whipping around the one corner of the house, sounding like a howl. The power flickered threatening to go out. Daisy got out some candles in case they lost their power. The rain beat steadily against the window pane. The sky had grown black and it looked like night outside except when bright strokes of lightening raced across the sky, loud cracks of thunder rumbled immediately followed the lightening.
The Dukes sat down at the table to eat dinner. They had just started when the power went out. Daisy lit the candles that were sitting on the table.
"How nice . . . a candle light dinner." Bo joked.
Luke laughed. A loud crack of the thunder sound that seemed so close that it almost shook the house.
     "I hate storms." Daisy said.
"Don't you think you are a little old to still be afraid of the thunder?" Bo questioned jokingly, more trying to lighten Daisy's mood.
Daisy knew that Bo was only joking around, she just smiled. "Well then guess that makes you too old to not like needles then."
"That's different needles hurt and storms don't." Bo said.
"Storms could hurt you I mean a lot could happen." Daisy said seriously.
     "Yeah true." Bo said.
Jesse and Luke just sat watching Bo and Daisy's banter.
"There is nothing to worry about. Storms always blow over and the sun comes back out again." Jesse said.
The storm continued to rage on until eleven that night. The storm knocked down a few trees and took out the bridge on Miller's Road. The next morning most people in Hazzard were still without power as one of the main hydro poles was struck by lightening during the storm. They wouldn't have power back until the repair crew fixed the problem.
The next morning most the clouds had blown over, still a few grey clouds scatter the sky, occasionally blocking out the sun. Bo and Luke decided to do a little fishing and they headed off towards Hazzard Pond to do a little fishing.
Bo sped along the dirt roads towards Hazzard Pond. The tires off the General spraying up a steadily stream of water. He pulled over to the side of road. They took out the fishing poles and walked back the trail that led to the pond. They joked around as the walked. The reached the pond, then stopped suddenly. They saw a body floating face down, a few inches from the edge of the pond.
"Go call Rosco on the CB." Luke told Bo.
Bo nodded and ran back to the car to call Rosco on the CB, while Luke pulled the body on to the ground. A couple moments later Bo came back.
"The CB ain't working again." Bo said.
     "Dang it." Luke said.
"What should we now?" Bo asked Luke.
"How should I know?" Luke said. He had seen a lot of dead bodies while he was in the Marines and was at war, but it still bothered him.
"Cause your older. And you always claim to know everything." Bo said. He had only seen a dead body a couple of times and felt uneasy standing around this dead body. Bo sighed. He realized he shouldn't have snapped at Luke like that. "Sorry."
"Don't worry about it." Luke said then stood up. "I guess we go into town and tell Rosco, there ain't much else we can do."
They started to walk back to the car when Bo noticed something shimmering a few feet off the trail. They went to see what it was.
It was a large gold box inscribed with hyrographics, that was mostly covered, as though someone had quickly tried to hide it.
     "What is it?" Bo asked.
"I have no idea." Luke said.
"Maybe we should open it and find out what's in it." Bo said.
Before Luke could respond they heard people approaching the pond from the other trail.. The ducked behind a tree to find out who was there. Two men walked down past, they didn't recognize either of them.
"It has to be around here somewhere, this is where we took care of Dr. Floyyd." one of them said.
They had came to the pond by the pond road and the boys were parked on the Ridge road. Bo and Luke stood quietly hoping these guys would not see them.
"Yeah and nobody in this little town will know he was dead before he hit the water, they'll think he just drown." the other said.
"Why don't you just announce it over the CB Sebastien, you said you it loud enough."
"There is nobody around it anyway Gavin." Sebastien said.
Bo and Luke watched as the two men walked towards the pond the quietly started to head back towards the General.
Sebastien and Gavin reached the pond and saw that someone had brought the body out of the water.
"Someone is here. Let's go search back along the trail." Gavin said.
Bo and Luke heard them coming back they knew they had to get rid of the box before they caught got with it. The ran deeper into the woods. Luke stepped on a twig and it snapped loudly giving away their position to Sebastein and Gavin, who started to go after the boys.
"We'll hide that thing in the Indian caves." Luke said.
Bo nodded. They reached the caves and were still out of view of Sebastien and Gavin. They hide the box in the caves in a small little hole between some fallen rocks. They ran out of the caves and were just a few feet from the entrance when Sebastien and Gavin caught up. Gavin aimed his gun towards Bo and Luke.
"Hold it right there plowboys." Gavin demanded.
Bo and Luke stopped and put their hands up.
     "Turn around slowly." Sebastien said.
Bo and Luke did as they were told.
"We know you found the goods, so where did you hide it?" Gavin questioned.
"We don't know what you are talking about." Luke said.
"No, we just came down to the pond to do some fishing." Bo added.
"Yeah right." Sebastien said. "We know you saw the dead body and you must have found the box."
Bo and Luke then exchanged glanced and then tackled Gavin and Sebastien. Luke fought Gavin, while Bo was fighting with Sebastien. Luke can normally out fight most anyone but was having trouble with Gavin. Gavin was a trained fighter, even more training then Luke had got in the Marines.
"Hey plow boy, give it up or your cousin is dead." Gavin warned as he held a gun to Luke's head.
Bo stopped fighting with Sebastien. The two then led Bo and Luke back to their car. The boys sat quietly in the backseat. The car drove to an abandoned factory on the Hazzard County and Choctaw County border. Gavin and Sebastien then led Bo and Luke inside, they shoved them into an office were a woman sat at a large desk. Her long brown hair was pulled back in a tight braided and her deep green eyes glared coldly at Bo and Luke.
"Adrienne, These boys found Dr. Floyyd we saw with the Cinatra as well, but they hid it somewhere." Gavin said.
"Okay boys. . ." Adrienne said as she stood up and walked towards Bo and Luke. "Where did you hid it?"
"We have no idea what you are talking about." Luke said defiantly.
Adrienne just glared at Luke, then nodded to Gavin. Gavin grabbed Bo by the back of the neck roughly and forced him to sit on a nearby chair. He held Bo by the arms from behind. Adrienne took a needle out of a drawer of the desk and walked towards Bo.
Bo's eyes widened with fear when he saw the needle, he struggled to break out of Gavin's hold, but couldn't.
"Okay blondie, start talking, where did you hide it?" she questioned.
"I don't know what you are talking about." Bo responded.
Luke wanted to help Bo, but Sebastien had him held firmly and he couldn't.
"Just leave him alone, we don't know what you are talking about." Luke said.
Adrienne just ignored Luke's demand, and plunged the needle into Bo's right shoulder. Bo flinched at the pain, which made Adrienne smile, and inject the needle deeper into Bo. She then pulled the needle out and grabbed Bo firmly by the jaw and forced him to look directly at her.
"This time it is just a mild sedative, next time you will not be so fortunate." she said then walked away from Bo.
Gavin let go of Bo. Bo still remained sitting int the chair, the drugs had already began to take effect. He struggled to stay awake, but could feel sleep slowly over taking his mind.
"Take them to the cell we made downstairs." Adrienne said.
Sebastien and Gavin nodded. Sebastien led Luke to cell. Bo could hardly walk his whole body left like a lead weight, Gavin practically drug him to the cell, tossing him in with Luke. Luke went over by Bo, and rolled him onto his back. Bo struggled to open his eyes to look at Luke but couldn't keep them open for even a second.
"How ya feeling?" Luke asked, there was a slightly note of concern in his voice.
     "Tired." Bo responded sleepily.
"Just try to get some rest." Luke said.
Luke leaned against the wall and watched Bo sleep, he prayed that it was really only a mild sedative in that needle and nothing deadly.
Two hours slowly past, Bo was still in a deep sleep. Luke sat watching Bo worriedly praying that he would wake up soon. He tried to think of how they could escape but couldn't think of anything. Bo started to slow awake. He opened his eyes and slowly sat up.
     "How ya feeling?" Luke asked.
"Been better, been worse." Bo said then stretched.
A few moments later Gavin and Sebastien came into the cell. Gavin pointed gun at Bo.
"Don't try nothing or you are dead boy." Gavin aid threateningly.
Bo did as he said and just sat there. Sebastien walked over to Luke and grabbed him by the arm and pulled him to his feet. Luke tried to break out of his hold.
"Don't you try nothing either, unless you want your cousin to get shot." Sebastien warned Luke.
Luke just gave in an allowed himself to be led from the room. Gavin closed the door once they were out of the room and locked the door.
They took Luke into a large brightly room. Adrienne stood in the middle of the room. She glared darkly at Luke for moment. Gavin went and stood beside her, he had an evil smile glimmering in his eyes.
"What do you do with the Cinatra?" Adrienne asked.
"I don't know. Never even heard of a Cinatra." Luke replied.
"It is an ancient box made of solid gold. It contains the secrets of the universe. With that power I can gain full control of the world." Adrienne said.
     "Yeah right." Luke said disbelievingly.
Gavin narrowed his eyes at Luke, then punched him hard in the stomach. Luke flinched at the pain.
"Didn't your momma teach you no respect boy? You don't talk to a woman that way." Gavin said.
"So where did you hide it?" Adrienne questioned.
Luke shrugged. " I don't know what you are talking about."
Adrienne didn't say nothing she nodded to Gavin. Gavin punched Luke in the stomach again. Sebastien held him from behind. Gavin slid on a pair of brass knuckles and smiled wickedly at Luke. Gavin then punched him in the stomach and ribs a few times and then across the head a couple times. Luke felt the warm stickiness of blood on the side of his head. Sebastien then let go of Luke and Luke dropped limply to the ground. Luke could feel darkness starting to invade his mind and tried desperately to fight it off.
"Take him and lock him up with the other one." Adrienne said.
Gavin and Sebastien drug Luke back to the cell.
Bo looked up when he heard the door opening. A worried look swept over his face when he saw Luke. Gavin and Sebastien dropped Luke on the floor and left. Bo went over to Luke.
"Are you okay?" Bo asked, his voice filled with concern for his injured cousin.
Luke wanted to respond to Bo, he want to say he was fine, but the he found himself unable to even speak, and the darkness consumed his mind and he drifted into unconsciousness.  Bo carefully moved Luke over to by the wall. He tore a small piece of fabric off the bottom of his shirt and used it to clean the cut on Luke forehead.
"C'mon on Luke wake up." Bo said softly.
Bo looked down worriedly at Luke, fearing the worst, fearing Luke wouldn't wake up. He knew there could be major problems if Luke had a concussion. He knew that Luke had to wake up soon. Bo gently held Luke's head on his lap, he held the fabric to the cut apply pressure to stop the bleeding. Bo leaned back against the wall.
"C'mon Luke, please wake up." Bo pleaded softly.
Minutes passed that seemed an eternity to Bo. About twenty minutes later Luke started to wake up. His eye lids fluttered and then opened. Luke sat up and felt dizzy and leaned against Bo.
"About time you woke up." Bo said jokingly, relieved that Luke was okay.
Back at the Duke farm Jesse and Daisy became concerned when Bo and Luke had not returned home yet. They went into town to search and ask around, but nobody had seen the boys. As night approached they became even more concerned. There was no sign of them anywhere, not even the General, which Sebastien had went and got and hid it at the hideout. They went to talk to Boss to see if he had any idea, if this had to do with one of his crooked deals. He said he had no idea and nothing to do with their disappearance. He told Rosco and Enos to help find Bo and Luke. They decided to search more come morning as it had grown to dark to see anything.
They left Bo and Luke alone for the rest of that night. Luke told Bo what he had been told about the Cinatra. They knew they couldn't let these people get a hold of it. The next morning shortly after dawn, Sebastien and Gavin came back into the room. Bo and Luke weren't to sure about what time it was as the room was underground and they couldn't see any sunlight.
Gavin walked over to them and grabbed Bo pulling him to his feet. Neither Bo nor Luke tried anything, they knew they had no chance of escape. Gavin and Sebastien left the room taking Bo with them. They took him into the same room that Luke had been taken to. Gavin held Bo from behind and Adrienne walked over and stood inches in front of Bo.
"So boy, you ready to do some talking yet?" Adrienne asked.
"Or do I get to pound on you like I did to your cousin?" Gavin questioned nastily as he twisted Bo's arm behind his back.
Bo flinched at the pain but didn't respond to Gavin's comment.
"I have no idea what you are talking about ma'am." Bo responded.
Gavin twisted Bo arm a little harder. Bo flinched and tried to break out of Gavin's hold but his efforts were futile.
"Enough with that same tired old lie." Adrienne said.
Gavin twisted Bo's arm tighter, almost breaking it. Bo gave a small cry as pain, his arm was sprain and his shoulder was pulled out of alignment. Adrienne just nodded and Gavin released Bo. Bo's arm hung limply at his side, he could move it at all.
Gavin took Bo back to the cell.
Bo went over and sat down beside Luke, clenching his left arm. Luke could see the pain in Bo's eyes.
     "You okay?" Luke asked worriedly.
Bo shook his head. "My arm is killing me."
Luke looked at Bo's left arm which had started to swell up. Bo flinched at the pain in his arm as Luke checked to see if Bo's arm was broken.
"Your shoulder is outta alignment." Luke said after a couple moments. "I can snap it back into place."
     "Good ahead." Bo said
Luke went to move to snap Bo's shoulder back into place. "This is gonna hurt a little, but it'll stop the pain."
Bo just nodded. Bo bit his bottom lip to keep from crying out in pain as Luke snapped his shoulder back into place. After Bo rubbed his shoulder.
     "Thanks cuz." Bo said.
     "No problem." Luke said.
They sat in silence wondering what lay in store for them next. They tried to think of a way to escape, but neither had any ideas. They knew they could never let these people get their hands on the Cinatra, or many people could die. They would use the power for evil purposes. Bo and Luke figured that even if they did tell where the Cinatra was that they'd be killed anyway.
A week slowly passed. Jesse and Daisy were extremely worried about Bo and Luke, they were starting to lose hope that they would ever see the boys again.
Bo and Luke sat quietly in the cell. They hadn't talked much to each other over the past couple days. Both were in bad moods and their spirits had started to be crushed as they lost hope of ever escaping. Both were suffering from a mild case of sleep depravation they had only had a couple hours of the sleep the entire week and they never slept for more then a few minutes at a time. Adrienne, Sebastien and Gavin had were constantly trying to force them to talk and made sure that Bo and Luke didn't get much sleep. Adrienne knew that they could use sleep depravation as a tactic to get them to talk. She knew the lack of sleep would weaken Bo and Luke's state of mind. She had studied the effects of sleep depravation in university she knew after awhile they would become more willing to co-operate. She figured that they would crack soon as there was already an obvious change in their personalities.
Bo stood up and paced around the room, glancing at the walls as though he was waiting for them to change in some way or waiting for something to happen.
     "Sit down." Luke said harshly.
Bo continued to pace around acting as though he never even heard Luke. Luke stood up and walked over to Bo. He grabbed him roughly by his shoulder to stop him from pacing.
"I said, sit down." Luke said demandingly.
Bo stared at Luke for a moment. "No." he said defiantly.
Luke glared at Bo then in a quick movement brought his other hand up and closed his hand tightly around Bo's throat and slammed him against the wall.
"When I tell you to do something you had better damn well listen to me." Luke said.
Bo struggled to get out of Luke's hold but his efforts were in vain.  Luke only proceeded to close his hand tighter around Bo's throat. Bo tried to gasp for air, but couldn't catch his breath, he could not breath at all and could feel himself starting to black out. Bo's eye lids fluttered as he tried to fight of the darkness that was trying to invade his mind. Suddenly Luke's eye softened and he let go of Bo, who slumped limply to the ground. Bo sat gasping deeply for air. Luke knelt down in front of him.
"Bo . . . I . . . I . . ." Luke stammered as he tried to find the words. He didn't know what to say he realized that he could killed Bo.
Bo didn't responded he sat with his eyes closed still trying to breathe again.
"Are you okay?" Luke asked his voice filled with concern.
Bo nodded slightly. "I'll feel even better once I start breathing again." Bo replied softly, not even opening his eyes, his head hung down.
     "I'm sorry . . . I didn't mean to." Luke said.
     "I know." Bo said faintly.
Bo could no longer fight off the darkness, he slumped forward limply against Luke as he fell into unconsciousness. Luke gently moved Bo so that he'd be more comfortable. Luke leaned against the wall, he held Bo's head in his lap. Luke closed his eyes and fell into a deep sleep.
"Your plan didn't work." Gavin said to Adrienne, with a small smirk as though to say, I told you so.
Adrienne glared coldly at him for a moment. "Well my next plan won't fail."
"Oh really? And why are you so sure this plan won't fail?" Gavin asked.
"Because faced with the thought of death they'll talk. Just have to "endanger" one's life. If he don't talk the other will to save his precious cousin's life." Adrienne said.
"She's right. I mean look at the way those to act, they act like brothers and are so damn protective of the other." Sebastien said.
Gavin only nodded in agreement, saying nothing as he looked down and polished his gun.
A couple hours later Bo started to wake up he sat up and rubbed the back of his neck and slowly opened his eyes. Luke felt Bo moving and woke up as well.
"How feeling?" Luke asked, there was a slight hint of concern in his voice.
"Fine. Except for a headache." Bo said.
     "Bo, I'm sorry." Luke said.
     "What for?" Bo asked.
     "For . . . I . . . I could've killed you." Luke said.
Bo shook his head. "No you couldn't have."
"Yes I could've killed you." Luke said.
"No. I doubt that. I mean yeah you can strangle a person and all that but, I know that you wouldn't have killed me, and even though you didn't really realized what you were doing I know that there is no way that you could've killed me." Bo said.
Luke gave a small smile, he understood what Bo was saying and knew he was right. There is now that he would allow himself to kill Bo, even in such a stressed out state of mind.
"Guess you're right." Luke said "That's a first." he added jokingly.
Bo looked at Luke. "Cute."
Gavin went to where they were keeping Bo and Luke locked up. He walked into the room, Bo and Luke just stared up at him. He smiled evilly at them. He walked over to Bo.
     "Stand up." Gavin demanded.
Bo glared up at him defiantly, not making any movement to get up. Gavin grabbed him by the arm and roughly pulled him to his feet.
Gavin pulled Bo outta of the room, and took him to a small brightly lit room. He flung Bo into a chair, which almost flipped over backwards when he hit it. Sebastien walked into the room carrying ropes. He tied Bo to the chair. Gavin walked over to a table and picked up a small vigil and walked back towards Bo. Bo tried to free himself from the ropes, but the more he tried to escape the deeper the ropes sank into his skin, so he gave up. Gavin tried to force Bo to drink the contents of the vigil but Bo refused. Sebastien just stood against the back wall smiling.
"Just drink the damn poison you little brat." Gavin said demandingly.
Bo laughed. "Yeah right. Like saying that is really gonna make me drink it."
Bo had already figured that it was some kind of poison since they were trying so hard to make him drink it. He knew he was right now. Sebastien looked at Gavin.
"You have a loud mouth. You weren't suppose to tell him it was poison." Sebastien said hiding his own laughter of what Sebastien said to make Bo drink the poison.
Gavin glared over at him. "Just shut up."
Gavin tried to force Bo to open his mouth and take the poison, but Bo refused, clamping his mouth shut tightly.
Gavin took out his gun and pointed it at Bo's head, he had become very annoyed by Bo's attitude. He held the small vigil of poison in his other hand. "Drink this or you are dead." Gavin said threateningly preparing to close his finger around the trigger of the gun.
Bo went to respond to Gavin's threat but stopped when Adrienne walked in the room.
"Gavin what kind of threat is that?" Adrienne asked.
"What do you mean?" Gavin asked looking over at Adrienne.
"Threatening to kill someone if they don't drink the poison. Either way he will be dead. So why threaten him with death?" Adrienne questioned.
Gavin didn't respond. Adrienne walked over and took the vigil from Gavin. She walked over and knelt down in front of Bo, and grasp him firmly under the chin.
"You are going to drink this." she demanded.
Bo tried to pull away from her grasp put couldn't, the ropes around his wrists and feet were tied too tightly for him to make any kind of escape. Adrienne forced Bo to open his mouth. She poured the contents of the vigil, and forced him to sallow.
Moments later the poison started to take effect on Bo. His whole body was throbbing, his insides felt as though they were on fire. His skin was pale, his heart beat rapidly, he felt as though he could hardly breath. He was breathing in short little shallow breaths. Adrienne grabbed Bo by the chin and forced him to look at her. His eyes were like a mirror to his pain. Adrienne smiled darkly.
"There is an antidote. All you have to do is tell me where what I want is and you can have it." Adrienne said.
"I don't know." Bo said, his voice edged with pain.
Adrienne let go off bo, his head fell forward, he didn't feel he had the strength to hold his head up.
"Get him out of here." Adrienne said to Gavin.
Gavin nodded and untied Bo. He started to led Bo back towards the cells Bo took a few steps then dropped to the ground. He closed his eyes and bit his lip to keep from crying out in pain as a wave of pain swept through his whole body. Gavin drug Bo back to the cell.
Luke looked up worriedly as Gavin tossed Bo into the cell. He became increasingly worried when he saw Bo was barely moving. Adrienne had followed Gavin back to the cell she stood in the doorway.
"He has consumed a high deadly poison he will die in a few hours if he don't receive the antidote." Adrienne said.
Luke glared up at her. He went over and knelt down by Bo, he carefully rolled him over.
"All you have to do is tell me what I want to know and your cousin will live, other then that he will die a very painful death." Adrienne said. "Are you going to sacrifice his life or tell me what I want to know?"
Luke didn't respond to her question.
"I will give you time to decide all the while he will be suffering." Adrienne said then shut and locked the door.
Luke looked down at Bo. Bo was slightly trembling, Luke noticed he seemed to be having trouble breathing. Luke laid his hand against Bo's forehead and felt it was hot.
"Bo wake up." Luke said, his voice fraught with worry.
Bo's eyelids flickered slightly, he gave a small moan of pain.
"C'mon Bo, wake up." Luke said.
Bo opened his eyes slowly and looked up at Luke. Luke could see that Bo's eyes were filled with pain.
"Luke . . .?" Bo said softly, his voice slightly shaking with pain.
"It's okay Bo. How are ya feeling?" Luke asked.
"Like I got hit by a truck." Bo said.
Bo started to close his eyes, and fall back asleep.
"C'mon Bo you gotta stay awake." Luke said, gently shaking Bo.
Bo moaned and tried to sit up. Luke helped him get into an upright position. Bo leaned half against the wall and half against Luke. Luke held his arm around Bo's shoulders, to try to comfort his younger cousin. Luke could sense Bo's pain, he wished he could stop Bo's suffering without sacrificing the lives of many other people. He didn't know what he would do if he lost Bo and started to think the best thing to do was to tell them what they wanted to know.
"Stay awake Bo." Luke said, noticing that Bo had started to drift asleep again.
Bo mumbled something that Luke couldn't quite make out, and he didn't open his eyes.
"Bo Duke open your eyes now." Luke said firmly.
Bo opened his eyes and looked at Luke. "I don't want to. It's too much effort." Bo mumbled.
"You have to Bo. You can't give into the poison you have to try to fight it." Luke said.
     "I can't." Bo said.
"You have to try Bo. I don't want to lose you." Luke said.
Luke looked at Bo and started to grow more concerned, Bo looked extremely pale and his looked dull, he seemed to be having trouble breathing. Bo looked at Luke for minute.
"Fine you win." Bo said softly then leaned his head against Luke's shoulder.
They sat that way in silence for almost an hour. Bo tried to ignore the pain and to fight off the darkness that kept trying to over take him. With each passing minute he found it harder to keep fighting the effects of the poison.
"Perhaps I should tell them what they want to know." Luke said.
"You can't do that." Bo said, he momentarily lifted his head, but that only caused more pain to race through his body so he laid his head back down on Luke's shoulder.
"If I tell them then you will get the antidote." Luke said.
"If they get what they want many innocent people will die needlessly." Bo said.
"So what? If I don't tell them you will die." Luke said then sighed. "I don't want to lose you Bo. I don't think I could stand to. You have always been more like a brother then a cousin to me."
Bo smiled slightly. "I feel the same way about you, but we can't let these people win. Many people will die, maybe even Uncle Jesse and Daisy. Besides who is to say they won't kill us anyway?"
"I know I have thought about that, but I can't just sit here doing nothing and watch you die." Luke said. He noticed that Bo's breathing had grown even more shallow, he felt a knot of concern in his stomach. "You okay?"
Bo didn't respond. Luke became increasingly worried. Bo slipped back into a deep sleep, on the verge of slipping into a comatose state.
Adrienne came into the room. "Well have you reached your final decision?"
"Yes. I will tell you what you want to know on one condition." Luke responded.
"Oh, and what's that?" Adrienne asked.
"You give Bo the antidote first, and we go nowhere until he is better." Luke said.
"Okay. We have a deal then." Adrienne said.
"Wait a minute Adrienne. How do you know we can trust the plowboy. Soon as you give his cousin the antidote he will change his mind and not tell us what we want to know." Gavin said.
"I doubt that. He knows if he tried that, his cousin will die an even far more painful death." Adrienne said, smiling evilly.
Adrienne walked over and knelt down in front of Bo. She took a needle that was filled with a deep green substance out of her pocket. She took the cover off the end of the needle, then injected the needle into Bo's shoulder. Bo stirred slightly as the needle sank deep into his skin. Adrienne injected the entire contents of the needle the took the needle out of Bo's shoulder and stood up. "He will be better in about twenty minutes."
Adrienne and Gavin then left the cell.
A few minutes later Bo began to wake. He was starting to feel better, but his whole body still dully ached. He sat up and rubbed the back of his neck.
"How ya feeling?" Luke asked concernedly.
"Like it's the morning after the night before." Bo replied.
Luke smiled and gave a small laugh of relief that Bo was doing better. Bo looked at Luke for a moment, then sighed.
"You told them where it was didn't you?" Bo questioned.
"Not yet. I told them I would after you were better." Luke said.
"Why did you do that?" Bo asked.
"I wanted to be sure there was an antidote. I couldn't just sit here and watch you die." Luke said.
Bo smiled. "Thanks. I guess I can see your point if it were the other way around I'd do the same thing."
Luke smiled. "I know you would."
Gavin and Sebastien came into the room. Gavin waled over and stood beside Luke and Sebastien stood by Bo.
"Both of you get up." Gavin demanded.
Bo and Luke stood up and allowed themselves to be led out of the cell.
Gavin drove out to by where they had captured Bo and Luke. Gavin walked in the lead holding a gun against Luke's side as Luke led them to where the box was. Sebastien followed behind them holding on to Bo's right arm to be sure he didn't try to escape. Adrienne followed closely behind them.
"Okay boy where is it?" Gavin questioned agitatedly. "We have been walking through these woods for like five minutes.
"I am trying to remember." Luke said.
Gavin glared at Luke then hit him in the side of the head with the handle of the gun. Luke fell to the ground. There was a small smear of blood on the side of his head where he had been hit. He brought his hand up to the cut and felt the warm stickiness of blood on his fingers. He lowered his fingers and stared at the blood for a moment.
"Hey you can't do that." Bo said, try to go and help Luke, but he couldn't break free from Sebastien's hold.
Gavin turned and smiled evilly at Bo for a moment. He turned back and glared down at Luke, and pointed the gun at him.
"So you gonna start talking?" Gavin asked.
Luke sat on the ground not responding. Gavin started to close his finger around the trigger. Bo struggled to get away from Sebastien and finally manage to do so, he elbowed Sebastien in the stomach. He doubled over in pain, and Bo tackled Gavin to the ground. The gun went off, the bullet ricocheting off the ground right next to Luke. Gavin and Bo wrestled, Sebastien came and tried to grab Bo, but Luke grabbed Sebastien first and they started to fight. Bo and Luke have lots of practise with bar room fighting and managed to get the upper hand this time, once Gavin and Sebastien were down Bo and Luke ran through the woods towards Cottontail Road, hoping there would be a passing car that they could escape in. Gavin, Sebastien and Adrienne started to shoot after the boys, the bullets missing them each time, ricocheting off trees near to the boys. They started to run after Bo and Luke.
Bo and Luke reached the road, they heard a car coming down the road, it was their friend Cooter Davenport. Cooter saw Bo and Luke and pulled over to the side of the road. Bo and Luke quickly climbed into the cab of the tow truck.
"Hey boys where . . ." Cooter started to say.
"Forget that for now just hit it." Bo said.
Cooter nodded and just to drive off, just as a bullet hit the side of the pick-up truck. He sped off down the road in a cloud of dust. The other rushed back to where they had left to car and tried to find the tow truck that Bo and Luke escaped.
"How's your head?" Bo asked, looking at the gun on Luke's forehead.
Luke reached up and touched the injury. He flinched slightly. "It's fine the bleeding has stopped, it's just gonna be bruised."
"Okay so what is going on? Where have you two been?" Cooter questioned. "Everyone has been worried sick about ya."
"It's along story Cooter." Bo said.
"Yeah we have to get ahold of the state police first, we have to get to a phone, perhaps we should go to the sheriff's department. We'll tell you everything on the way there" Luke said.
"Okay you got it Lukas." Cooter said.
Gavin, Sebastien and Adrienne had no luck in finding the tow truck that the boys had escaped in. They continued to search the county for any sign of the Duke boys.
Cooter pulled to a stop in front of the Police station about ten minutes later, just as Bo and Luke were finishing telling him what happened. The three of them rushed into the police station.
Rosco looked up from brushing Flash when he heard people come running into the office.
"Alrighty . . . oh Bo and Luke where have you boys been. We've  all been searching everywhere for ya." Rosco said.
"We'll tell ya after we have to call the state police." Luke said as he picked up the phone.
Luke told them the situation. Rosco listened to Luke telling them what happened trying to figure the situation for himself. The state police said they would be in Hazzard in thirty minutes. After they tried to explain what happened to Rosco.
Cooter drove them to the Duke farm. Jesse and Daisy were sitting quietly in the front room. They looked up when Cooter walked in then they saw Bo and Luke standing right behind him.
"Bo. Luke." Daisy said joyfully, jumping up off the couch running over to greet her cousins, hugging each of them.
Jesse got up off the couch as well and went over and hugged each of them. He couldn't find his voice to express his joy that they had returned home safely. Tears of joy filled his eyes..
"What happened? Where have the two been?" Daisy asked, speaking very quickly. "I am so glad that you both are home."
"Whoa slow down." Luke said jokingly.
Daisy smiled and laughed.
"Just sit down and we'll tell ya everything." Bo said.
The boys told them all that had happened.
About an hour later a state police officer knocked on the Duke's door. He said they had captured Adrienne, Gavin and Sebastien and need Bo and Luke to identify them. Bo and Luke went with Jesse and Daisy to the state police department and identified them. Bo and Luke had to testify in a trial, which was set to be held in two days time.
Bo and Luke got the General from their hideout. Everyone celebrated that Bo and Luke had returned home safely. The Dukes had a small party, with some of their closest friends. Jesse made his famous crawdad bisque.
Bo and Luke testified at the trial. Adrienne, Gavin, and Sebastien were sentenced to two consecutive life sentences among the charges were murder and kidnapping.
Things returned to normal in Hazzard County. The sun shone down brightly over the small town, all storms had blown over the way all storms always do both in nature and in life. The boys raced down the back roads of the county, being chased by Rosco.
