It was a good late October day in Hazzard. The weather was just perfect for the time of year, with a crisp fall breeze, everything appeared to be perfect. But things are not always as they appear, especially in Hazzard. The silence of this peaceful spot was broken as the General came tearing down the road being chased by Rosco for speeding
     "Dang it Rosco, again." Bo said agitatedly.
     "This is getting down right annoying. He's been chasing us every day this week." Luke said looking back at Rosco chasing them.
     "Yeah. Lose him Bo." Daisy said.
     "You got, hold on." Bo said.
 They lost Rosco and were hiding out for a while to be sure he was long gone. Bo and Daisy were laying on the hood of the General and Luke was leaning against the side, when a bulletin came across the radio.
     "There has been another reported ghost siting added to the increasing number of sitiengs this week. As well as more unexplainable occurrences. This is also a reminder of the 11:00 curfew that has been set by the Sheriff until he gets to the bottom of this." announcer said.
     "Ghosts? I think all them people are seeing things." Bo said, with a laugh.
     "Well I don't know Bo there as been a lot of people at the Boars Nest talking about seeing ghost or strange things happening." Daisy said.
     "Maybe they's all been drinking then." Bo said.
     "They all can't be drunk." Daisy said.
     "Bo is right Daisy. There is no such things as ghosts. People are just imagining things being as it is almost Halloween" Luke said.
     "Well I don't know about that." Daisy said.
     "Come on you don't believe in all these ghost stories do you Daisy?" Bo asked.
     "Well yeah kind of. I mean strange things have been happening in Hazzard lately, and I think that if they could be anywhere it would be here in Hazzard." Daisy said.
     "I think if there was they'd leave quick cause Boss would be trying to charge a fee for spooking or something." Bo said laughing.
     "Don't tell me the both you believe in ghosts." Luke said
     "I think there is such a thing." Daisy said
     "I'll believe in ghosts when I see one." Bo said.
     "Your both crazy." Luke said.
 Then they decided that Rosco should be long gone and start to head back to the farm.
     "Bo look out it looks like that guy wants both sides of the road." Luke said.
 Bo swerved to avoid him but the car follows his swerve, then they all could see the driver was a corpse and then the car passed right through the General.
    "What was that?" Daisy asked frightenedly.
     "I have no idea, must have been some kind of optical illusion." Luke said.
     "I don't know. Luke you want to drive?" Bo asked.
     "Well I think we ougtta get out and check around, for mirrors or something, I mean it had to be an illusion." Luke said.
  So they get out and look around but can't find anything. They headed back to the farm. Luke drove and Daisy sits in the front seat next to Bo, and Bo puts an arm around Daisy's shoulder. They told Uncle Jesse what happened when they was coming home.
     "So are you saying there really are ghosts here?" Uncle Jesse asked.
     "Well I wouldn't say that it had to be some kind of trick." Luke said.
     "Then why didn't we find anything. There was something out there." Daisy said.
     "Daisy has a point there was something out there." Bo said.
     "Look you two it was just an illusion and tomorrow we will go look around there better, it was getting dark maybe we missed something, there is no such things as ghosts." Luke said.
     "Well do the ghosts know that?" Daisy asked.
     "Yeah well we'll just get Luke here to go tell them they don't exist, that ougtta help." Bo said with a fake little laugh.
  Luke went to respond but Uncle Jesse told them to knock it off. So then they all ate dinner and after dinner the topic came back up and they started to fight about it cause both Bo and Daisy believed there was ghosts and Luke was calling them crazy,  and Uncle Jesse refused to take sides. So then everybody went to bed angry.
In the middle night Bo had a bad dream and woke up. Then Luke woke up to and went over and sat on the edge of Bo's bed and put a hand on Bo's shoulder.
     "Are you okay?" Luke asked concernedly.
     "Yeah I guess I'm fine, it was just a dream." Bo said.
     "You want to talk about it?" Luke asked.
  Bo don't say anything just turned away from Luke.
     "Was it about what happened early out on the road?" Luke questioned.
Bo looked back over at Luke. "Yeah kind of" Bo said.
     "Look we're going to get to the bottom of it all tomorrow, don't worry about it. Just try to get back asleep." Luke said.
     "Look I am sorry about fighting earlier, it just that..." Bo started to say.
     "Forget it." Luke said.
     Bo laid back down, and Luke went back over to his bed. Luke waited till after he thought Bo was asleep for a couple minutes before going back to sleep for himself.
     The next morning after breakfast Daisy went out to go to work and Dixie would not start. The boys went outside.
     "Dixie won't start and I am already late." Daisy said.
     "We'll give you a ride to work then, and then we'll see if we can fix Dixie up." Bo said.  "And take care of the other." Luke added.
     "Yeah and that." Bo agreed.
      They gave her a ride to work, Bo drove. When they get to the Boars Nest they decide to go in for a beer. The Boars Nest was already quite busy, everyone was sitting around talking about having seeing a ghost or having something strange happen to them, when a cold chill entered the room. Things started to fly around glasses smashed into the walls, tables and chairs over turned, and all the doors started banging open and shut. Then it was all over about as quick as it had started. Boss and Rosco came out of Boss's office and looked around at the damage
     "What's going on out here? The Duke boys, I should've known you were behind all this."Boss said.
      "Now wait a minute we had nothing to do with this." Luke said
     "Oh tiddly, your just lying, now I'm gonna cuff ya and stuff ya."Rosco said.
     So the boys were arrested and taken to jail. Boss set the bail at $500, and locked them up in the cell downstairs. Then when Boss and Rosco went back up a cold chill went threw the office, and things began to fly around then it stopped just as before. They decided then it wasn't the Duke boys and if they let them out and didn't tell them why maybe then they'd get to the bottom of the problem to try to clear themselves. So the boys are heading back to the farm.
     "Why'd they change their minds and let us go?" Bo asked.
     "I don't know, they have to have some reason, maybe they are going to try to pin more on us." Luke said.
  They got back to the farm and told Uncle Jesse what had happened. They decided they have to do some investigating. They fixed Dixie, and went get Daisy from the Boars Nest which had closed to clean the mess up. Uncle Jesse and Daisy went to check out along the road were  the occurrence had happened the other day. The boys went to the graveyard because a lot of people had reported seeing strange things when they've passed by there. The graveyard looked like it had been trashed, many stones were over turned. Bo went to call the others on the CB to tell them what they'd found, when a strong wind came up, pinning Bo to the General and knocking Luke to the ground. Then a stone flew up and was hanging above Luke, who couldn't move and then it began to fall.
     "Luke!" Bo shouted concernedly.
     Then another breeze came and knocked the stone away and it fell harmlessly to the ground beside Luke. Then all the wind died. Bo ran over and helped Luke to his feet
     "Are you okay?" Bo said putting a hand on Luke's shoulder.
     "I think once I start breathing I'll be better" Luke said and gave a little smile. "Are you okay?" Luke asked.
     "I'm just scared half to death." Bo said.
Then a ghost appeared a few feet away from them
     "Then again."Bo said with a nervous laugh.
     "I hope there has been no harm done. Many of the ghosts of Hazzard have been upset from the destruction of the graveyard and have been making their presence known. But all the damage has not been done by us ghosts, there is mortals from another place, and some ghosts thought you to be them"Ghost said.
     "Well it ain't us you're been causing problems." Luke said.
     "I do know that. I know you are from this town and are good people not evil." Ghost said.
     "How do you know all that?" Bo asked.
     "I can not tell you that, just that I know. If you wish to learn the truth about what has been happening look in the old caretakers shack at the far side of the yard" Ghost said, then vanished into thin air.
     "Okay what was all that about?" Bo asked.
     "I have no idea. Maybe we should go check out that old caretakers shack. What do you say?" Luke said.
     "Yeah, I think maybe we should." Bo said.
      They went to the shack and found fresh tire tracks all around. Inside the shack they find plans to rob the bank and burn down half of Hazzard square to cover to escape. They contacted Uncle Jesse and Daisy and told them to meet them in town. The boys went to Boss and told him what they found and showed him the plans. But He didn't believe them and said that they are behind everything and is going on. Boss told  Rosco throw them in jail. The alarm goes off at the bank and there's an explosion at the cafe. The boys spotted the van taking off and jumped into the General and followed it. They easily caught up to it within moments. Luke decided to jump across onto the van to get it to stop.
     "Just be careful, would ya." Bo said.
     "Ain't I always." Luke said.
Luke jumped across and got the van He reached in the drivers window and grabbed the steering wheel. The van slammed on its brakes, almost causing Luke to fall off.  The guys got out of the van and tried to run away into the woods. The boys caught them, they tried to fight, but were no match for the boys, who quickly subdued them. Rosco finally caught up and  took them and the stolen money back into town, and locked them up. The fire was quickly put out and no real damage had been done. The bad guys were sent away to the state prison. The ghosts that had been haunting Hazzard stopped, and the graveyard was to be cleaned up. Things went back to normal in Hazzard.
