BACKGROUND

"Anceint Heroes", covers the fall of the Siu Dynasty and the rise of the Tong Dynasty. This series is a similiar to the 1987 TVB Anniversary Series, "The Grand Canal", starring Tony Leung, Idy Chan, Felix Wong, Lawerence Ng, Margie Tsang, and Sean Lau. Unlike "The Grand Canal", which focuses on the struggle between the rebels and the evil Siu Emperor Yeung Guo. This series focuses on the struggle between the rebels and evil Lord Yeung Si Hung. Once again this series focuses on the herioc deeds of legendary heroes, "Fung Chun Sam Hup", Cheung Sam Long, Cheung Chut Chun and Lee Jing.

Thier are actually three seperate stories in "Ancient Heroes". The first story focuses on the struggle between the Lee family and the Yeung family. The second story focuses on the events that led up to the three heroes, Cheung Sam Long, Cheung Chut Chun, and Lee Jing, taking an oath of brotherhood. The final story covers the uprising by the rebels to eliminate Lord Yeung Si Hung.

In this series Eddie Cheung plays the wise and noble Lee Sai Mun. Also in the cast Lam Ka Wah as the bearded hero, Cheung Sam Long, Patrick Tam as Lee Jing, Jojo Cho as Cheung Chut Chun, and Marian Chan as Yeung Lan Ling.
