''I love snow!'' Blue Mist danced around on the spot thinking about it.
''I like snow too,'' Zoot smiled at Blue.
So off they went, for two days they just climbed up the mountain like nothing mattered, then ck!!! stumbled across a sign. ''Eagle Mountain?'' he was bewildered.
''Must be the name,'' Zoot crazy shrugged.
''Yeah.'' Blue Mist was uncaring. A sign? Who cared! The snow was about a mile away, and if they tried they could get there before dark.
That night they were all cold, except for Blue Mist who had always been better with cold than with heat. It may have also been the hot, hairy dog that lay next to her.
''Shall we stay here?'' Blue Mist asked Zoot.
''We have to see if there's a water supply first. Blue, Sable, KC and ck!!!, you try to find one, we'll stay here.''
So off they went, Blue Mist and KC fooling around cwith Sable most of the way, ck!!! in front. At one point ck!!! was very far away from the other two and Sable, who were playing fetch. They stood there for a bit, throwing the ball. After a while they went further, to try and find ck!!! They saw him coming back, his face white, he looked weird, and Sable was acting funny.
''Is there anything there?'' KC asked.
''No, we definately can't stay here.'' ck!!! replied, still white as a sheet.
''Why n........'' Blue Mist started, but then she saw about 14 dead people, lying on the ground, blood covering them, they looked warm.
Then she saw a dead Alsatian lying near the people, shot. ''That poor Alsatian!'' Blue Mist had been scared, but she was more sad about the dog.
''What........AH!'' KC suddenly saw what she was on about.
“It's dead, I checked.'' ck!!! confirmed.
''What's that then?” She saw a bundle lying on the floor, moving.
''I..I don't know,'' ck!!! answered. ''I think that the alsatian killed those people, but as one of them was dying, he shot it, see that gun? Leaving its puppy to die.'' ck!!! warned “I think we should leave it.''
''No! You don't know, and even if you are right, we can't let it die!'' Blue protested.
''It's probably like it's mother, dangerous.'' KC agreed with ck!!!
''Maybe not, and anyway Sable was turned good, I don't see why it can't be,'' Blue Mist said, but Sable growled, he was spooked.
''Oh, Come on!'' Blue Mist started picking her way through the dead bodies nearer to the bundle, always half expecting one of the bodies would grab her leg, but it didn't.
When she got to the puppy, she was happy she was right. It was so helpless, it hadn't even opened it's eyes, why were they scared? As she went back, she noticed the dead Alsatian’s eyes, a freaky red and green. Yes, ck!!! had probably been right about that, but this puppy was fine. ''Come on!'' she signalled.
Half way back the puppy opened it's eyes, the same colour's, and something new - a creepy, unloseable stare.
Episode 17
Blue Mist's mouth opened and closed like a fish out of water, trying ever so hard not to scream. KC took care of that, and ck!!! just stared, like he was dead or something. Blue almost screamed, but then she saw behind the eyes, a sad, lonely atmosphere which made her want to cry. ''Stop,'' Blue Mist said with no particular tone.''AHHHHHHHHH!'' KC screamed his disapproval and ran back, ck!!! following, but Sable stayed, no longer scared - enchanted you might call it.
''DOOOOOOOG!'' ck!!! screamed at the others, KC behind him.
''Excuse me?'' Zoot Crazy thought he must be mad.
''We found these dead bodies, they'd been killed by a dog. It had a puppy though, we tried to tell her, but she wouldn't listen. She has the puppy, it's a witch!'' KC explained.
''Where is it?!'' Zoot Crazy was scared.
''With Blue, she's bringing it back!'' Ck!!! warned.
''RUUUUN!'' KC added.
''Hey, stop! There are no such things as witches, and especially no such things as witch dogs. As much as I'd love to scare you, I can imagine you could turn on Blue Mist, and then you'd have me to deal with, so, shut.......your.......gobs!'' Zoot ordered, and everyone shut-up.
Later Blue Mist returned, the puppy in it's blanket, his tongue lolling out, his strange eyes bright. Scaramouche saw the ' Witch Dog'. His eyes were strange, one green and one red at a quick look, but when under observation, the red was backed up by a pink, and the green by a purply-blue, it was so weird. His coat was tufty, not particularly long, but in great thick tufts, the color was very odd, a bluey-black with yellowy glowing feet and tail.
But Scaramouche was not scared, she went over to Blue Mist and her dogs, ''Is this who they call the 'Witch dog?' she asked.
''Oh no.......'' Blue groaned.
''Don't worry, Zoot dealed with that,'' Scaramouche assured her.
''Good, and yes he is that dog. His name is Malice,'' Blue Mist returned her answer. Scaramouche was shocked that she would call him Malice, if she wanted people to like him. Just then the others came over, they muttered amongst themselves.
''Is this your new dog?'' Zoot asked.
''Yes.,' Blue answered.
''He's cool! What's his name?'' Zoot praised the dog.
''Malice,'' Blue returned.
''Class!'' Zoot had never seen such a wonderful dog, he would be good protection, and anybody who didn't trust him would be less protected, and that would be their fault, not Blue's or anyone else’s. ''Well, I've heard this place isn't safe,'' Zoot carried on. '' We have to move to somewhere trustworthy, with water.''
They went up. Malice was often carried by Blue Mist, but sometimes put down on his own feet. Blue loved him, and Sable was fascinated by him, at one time KC tried to kick him, Blue Mist saw him.
'”HOW DARE YOU?'' Blue raged, and KC sunk so low into the ground that she thought he would disappear!
''Sorry,'' Blue tried to help.
''It's ok. I was wrong, but that dog's dangerous,'' KC replied.
''Nonsense,'' Blue shook her head and carrired on up the hill.
It was getting dark, and ck!!! was scared, everyone was scared, even Zoot. The reason was the glow up eyes that followed the fearless Blue Mist everywhere. Well, at least fearless was the public approach, but stupid was a better word for how Blue Mist felt about Malice.
''You're stupid, did you know that?'' ck!!! lared up at Blue Mist.
''Yes, I know I'm stupid. But if you're referring to me liking Malice, then no, I'm not the stupid one, you are,'' Blue Mist sneered, feeling bad about it.
The comeback made ck!!! hate himself, that was definately not what he'd expected.
Finally they came to a suitable place. It was right near a river, and there was even a warm cave to camp in, and the fact that Malice had found it made everyone like him. After everyone, even Sable, was asleep, Malice was awake. He sat near the front of the den, and stared. People say that dogs can grin, in a way, and Sable was grinning, but it was far, far too human.
Episode 18
Blue Mist awoke, to see about 100 strange eyes bobbing around her. When she became accustomed to the light, she saw about 46 Alsatians with weird eyes around her. They snarled like thunder and surrounded the cave and in front of all of them was Malice.Blue heard a strange voice: * Hi, Blue, Thank you for saving me, now I'm afraid we're going to kill you*
''Who on earth are you?!'' Blue Mist screamed.
* Nothing on earth, we came from outer space, like the virus.* The voice said again, it was coming from Malice! Suddenly Blue Mist remembered her parents dying, then Malice added, * In fact, we created the virus. It would have killed all humans, but someone slipped up!*
A picture of what they did to that someone flashed through her mind.
''Nooooooooooooooo!'' Blue screamed. It was so horrible she felt sick, everyone woke up.
* You like that? Here's some more* Malice gave her more pictures.
''Nooo! No! No! No! No! Go away!'' Blue Mist strangled out a mix of crying and screaming, sorrow and anger. All the 'Space Dogs' did was laugh.
''Get lost you Alien scum!'' Blue outraged.
All of the others were screaming, they had no idea what was happening. Then Sable lunged for the dogs.
''Get Malice!'' Blue Mist ordered, but as brave as Sable was he couldn't, he physically couldn't. He could kill any others, but not Malice.
''What are we waiting for? Kill!'' Zoot came to his senses, they all threw themselves at the dogs, but they didn't stand a chance really, they were all levitated.
''GET LOST!'' Blue Mist would not surrender. Sable had killed about ten dogs, but they were outnumbered greatly, and trapped, what could they do? Then Malice lunged for Zoot, but he just stayed there. He went, one by one, to each of them, what was he doing? Then, they vanished. It was so strange and everyone was still screaming and yelling. They all ran out of the cave at top speed up the mountain, and looking at them, as an invisible spectator, was Malice, laughing wickedly.
A week later after climbing for so long, they had found a good place. It was a kind of dome, for experiments or something. Just as they were about to go in, a fire ball swept through, all these people came running out.
''Help us!'' this girl with a baby yelled at them. ''Two people are stuck in there.''
''Trudy?'' Zoot asked.
''Zoot!'' The girl went mad, as they were reunited.
Blue Mist, ck!!!, Zoot Crazy, Scaramouche and Sable tried to find the people before they were choked. Five minutes later, Sable and Zoot Crazy had each found something, everyone was dragged far away from the fire, and then the confusion set in.
''You found Amber!'' Bray congratulated Zoot Crazy, hugging a weak Amber.
''Get lost dog!'' Lex kicked Sable, and picked up Zandra like a baby, with Zandra screaming.
''KC?'' Cloe was surprised.
Then everyone looked at each other, confused, happy, scared, shocked, all at once.
''Who are you?'' Scaramouche asked Bray.
''We're the Mall Rats,'' he explained.
''I've heard of you!'' Blue was happy to know something.
''Names?'' Zoot Crazy asked.
'' I'm Bray, this is Cloe, this is Patsy........'' And he went on, pointing at everyone, explaining, then Lex returned the question - “Names?''
'' Hi, We're The Full Moon Tribe. This is Sable, I'm Blue Mist, this is Scaramouche, this is ck!!!, She's Zoot Crazy..........'' she was cut off.
'' Zoot Crazy?'' Ebony asked.
'' Yes, and this is KC, and then there's..........Zoot,'' Blue Mist spat out ordinarily.
'' She must be insane,'' Ryan warned them.
'' Hey, she's not insane!'' Zoot came out from the shadows.
'' Zoot?'' Bray and Ebony asked at the same time. Trudy looked smug, she already knew.
So on it went, reunited and happy. No-one hated each other, they were too confused, but when they got back to the mall, it was different.
''Zoot Crazy and Blue Mist, come over here,'' Ebony ordered. They came to what seemed only four chairs, four people, Trudy, Ebony, Zoot Crazy and Blue Mist, oh, and Brady.
''Your name, I don't like it.'' Ebony stared at Zoot Crazy.
“Why?'' Zoot Crazy asked coyly.
''He's mine!'' Ebony shouted back at her.
''No he's not!'' Trudy glared at Ebony.
''Don't lare out at her, she doesn't love him, let her leave,'' Blue ordered.
''Go.'' Ebony let her off the hook.
''How old are you and what have you got to do with Zoot?'' Trudy asked.
''11, and Zoot's my boyfriend,'' Blue Mist said honestly.
''You're kidding, right?'' Ebony laughed. Blue shook her head.
''He is not yours!'' Trudy ordered Blue Mist, like a baby.
''No, he's mine!'' Ebony stood in.
''He's not a possession!'' Blue Mist was the only one with sense.
''Look, little child, just get lost.'' Trudy's voice drove Blue into a madness, she stood up. ''No,'' Blue said simply.
''Do it, brat, or when Zoot looks at you, he'll be sick,” Ebony tormented.
''What are you doing to her?!'' Zoot came into the conversation with Bray. ''I've heard about what you said about using me to get to Bray, no way I'm gonna' go out with you!'' Zoot was angry at them. ''And now I'm dead you'll have Lex, then when I'm alive you want me back?'' Zoot asked Ebony, as she sulked out of the room.
''Don't worry Blue Mist, You're not going to lose me.'' Zoot smiled, and so did Blue, and Bray.
