Vortex

Episode I

"What now CK???" shouted Zootcrazy in panic.
"There is nowhere to run now," said Zoot who had just stopped running. "Loco, get them!"
"CK what are we gonna do??" shouted Zootcrazy. "CK?"
CK and Zootcrazy moved further and further toward the edge of the cliff.
"Jump!" said CK.
"Wha?" Zootcrazy said. "Are you mad?"
"Take them on and lose or jump?"
"Jump off? You gotta be kiddin'," said Zootcrazy.
"BOYS GET THEM!" bellowed Zoot. "They have had enough time to talk." A group of Locos ran towards CK and Zootcrazy.
"Ok, ok. I'll jump," said Zootcrazy, as she went right to the edge of the cliff.
"I'll take them on while you jump!" said CK as he ran into the Locos...
Zootcrazy took a deep breath in before jumping off the cliff...
CK saw Zootcrazy jump and ran to the edge off the cliff. "Not this time, Zoot!" he shouted as he gave a cheeky smile before jumping.
"I'll get you, I promise," shouted Zoot as he ran to the edge of the cliff.
The water was ice cold and the current was strong as Zootcrazy plunged into the water followed by CK. CK came to the top first and shouted "Zootcrazy. Are you ok??"
From far into the distance Zootcrazy replied,"I'm here, I'm fine!!"
They reached each other. "Now try swimming to the side," shouted CK.
Zootcrazy and CK both tried. "We can't the current is too strong!!"
"We gotta get to the side, otherwise we go over that waterfall!!" shouted CK.
"Oh no we're gonna die!!!" Zootcrazy shouted....

Episode II

"Are you sure you're ok??"
"Yes, I'm sure. I'll go check to see if it's safe to leave this place," said CK.
"Ok, don't be too long. What do I do if she wakes?"
"Tell her I'll be back soon and make sure she's ok" said CK and he left....
Zootcrazy woke up to find herself in a dark deep cave. "CK?" shouted Zootcrazy "CK, are you here??"
"He's gone to see if it's safe to leave. How arr you doin'?" said a girl.
"Wha? Oh, I'm fine, but who are you?" asked Zootcrazy.
"My name is KT," said KT. She was dressed in combats and a bright yellow tight top with a monkey face on the front.
"But how did we get in here? How did we meet you? How do I know you're not like Anna?!! I'm just so confused," said Zootcrazy.
"Anna?? Who's Anna?" said KT.
"I'll explain....

Episode III

Well, I'll start from the beginning.... The virus had just started to hit, in them days when it was thought to be a bad outburst of the flu, we had a new boy just started at our school called Gameface. He became my best friend, we would just talk for ages...
"So what ya reading???" asked Gameface.
"More about the virus. I think my mum is coming down with it. My dad has just died and now it's affecting my mum!!!!" said KT as she began to cry.
"Hey, don't cry," said Gameface as he gave her a hug.
In them days he was like my brother, and became my family when our parents died. He looked after me. It had come to the stage when we were evacuated. We were the first ever people to be evacuated. We went to stay with this girl. She never talked to me, only to Gameface. Her name was Ann or Anny, well something like that.
"Like I said, the movies tonight," said KT. Gameface nodded.
"Promise?"
"Yeah I promise," replied Gameface.
"Gameface!!" said Anna as she ran into the room crying. "My dad he has the virus. We are not safe out here anymore."
"Calm down," Gameface said as he went to Anna, leaving KT on her own. "Are you sure? It might just be the flu..."
"The doctor has said it is that virus!!" screamed Anna crying.
"Calm down, your dad wouldn't wanna see you like this," said KT."
Please don't leave me, Gameface. Please never leave me," said Anna to Gameface.
"I won't leave you tonight," said Gameface considerately. "KT, I'm sorry I can't go tonight."
"You promised!!!!" shouted KT.
Gameface replied," I know, I'm so-"
"Forget it!" shouted KT. "Go back to Lovergirl, see what I care." KT stormed out of the room. That is where the trouble started....

Episode IV

Gameface had gone out one night and me and that Ann person were the only ones in the house...
"Gimme the remote!" demanded Anna.
"No!" replied KT. "I watchin' this about the virus."
"Hand it over you little slut!" shouted Anna.
"What, ME a slut?" shouted KT back. "At least I'm not the one taking Gameface off me!!!"
"I'll take Gameface away from you if it's the last thing I do," stated Anna.
"Wha'???
"You heard me," shouted Anna. "You always think you're MISS high and mighty!!"
"How dare you!!" KT shouted as she slapped Anna, and ran out of the room.
Days passed and she did what she said - turned Gameface against me. He started not to talk to me....
"Gameface, please listen to me..." pleaded KT.
"There is no point. Anna has told me all about it," said Gameface
"Listen to my side. She HATES me, she called me a slut and all," cried KT.
"I don't want to hear it" Gameface said as he walked out the room.
"Please, Gameface. Please...."
The virus had now taken all the adults and living with Gameface had become a nightmare. We had all decided to leave the house that we stayed in, only to my surprise....
"When are we leavin'??" asked KT.
"WE? You're not goin' anywhere," said Anna.
"What??" KT said shocked.
"That's right, I don't trust you anymore, KT. You used to be cool but since we have come here you have changed," said Gameface.
"I've changed? We used to be good mates but now you won't even listen to me," said KT and she began to cry.
They left during that night leaving me on my own. They took everything. They didn't even let me say goodbye....

Episode V

I packed my things away and left the house a few days after, I decided to go back to the city, but on the way I had a run in with Tribe Circus....
"Look what with have here," Said TopHat. "So what's your name?"
"K...K... KT," stuttered KT.
"What tribe are you with?" TopHat demanded and he went closer to KT.
"I'm not with a tribe..." said KT. "I'm a stray..."
"Well, clown, we have found our fun!!!!" shouted TopHat and he began to laugh He decided to have a hunt - I would be the prey. I would have half an hour to get a far as I could before they started after me.... Well that's before he changed the rules to suit himself. I began to run, then he saw me dart into some bushes.....
"That's very naughty, KT," shouted TopHat. He started up his motorbike. "Get her boys!!!!"
I ran as fast as I could, TopHat chased after me. I saw a cave in a cliff as I reached the beach so I started to climb up. I got into the cave.
"Boys, climb up and get her," shouted TopHat. Tribe Circus climbed up the cliff edge, KT screamed and was kicking them back down....
"Boys, forget it. We'll get her another day," shouted TopHat as he drove off on his bike.... That's the last I have seen of him, well, for now at least.
I walked through the cliff before I came to an opening, It was behind a waterfall. Seeing the water trickling down in front of me was amazing. I decided to stay here in this cave. Then I heard screaming - it was you, Zootcrazy, and CK. You were falling down the waterfall. I held out my hand, grabbed onto CK and pulled him in. You fell to the bottom. We found you unconscious. Since then we have been looking after you. CK as just gone to see if he can find anything to eat, or see if we are still safe, I'll go get you the last of the soup.
KT got up and left Zootcrazy....

Episode VI

CK rushed in the cave, "We're not safe here."
"Why not?" asked KT.
"Are you sure?" said Zootcrazy.
"What is this, Don't Believe CK day?"CK said sarcastically. "Anyway, there are a bunch of Nomads heading this way."
"Nomads?" asked Zootcrazy.
"Haven't you heard of them??" asked KT.
"No."
"Well let me tell you," said CK, "Nomads will give you anything you need for one thi-"
"Anything? Cool," said Zootcrazy happily. She got up from where she was lying.
"Zootcrazy, let him finish!" said KT.
"Well, like I said, they would give you anything for-"
"Finish the story. Go on then."
"Wha?" said CK as he turned round. "Oh my god, Nomads."
"I do believe we are Nomads," said Quaver, the male leader of the Nomads. "Go on, finish. What do we do?" said Jone, the female leader.
"Well, they-" said CK.
"You can't," said Quaver. "Jone, which one you want?"
Jone went up to CK, KT and Zootcrazy. CK took a step back. Jone carried on looking before returning to Quaver. "I think I'll have that one"said Jone pointing to Zootcrazy.
"Boys, get her," said Quaver as his hand went into his pocket. He pulled out a red rectangle box. He opened the box slowly as Zootcrazy was being brought to him. Zootcrazy was breathing deeply, she was scared. When Quaver had fully opened the box, he put his hand inside and pulled out a gun....

Episode VII

Zootcrazy gazed at the gun. CK and KT stood motionless.
“Boys, get ready to leave, make sure you look everywhere for food first!” demanded Quaver. “Girl, come here.” He waved the gun at Zootcrazy as she moved cautiously towards him. Quaver grabbed Zootcrazy round the neck and put the gun to her head.
“Boss, there is no food,” said Baxzer, a Nomad. Baxzer was about 5ft 8 and wore Nomad's cloths like the rest, except for the two leaders. The clothing was a tea coloured ‘suit’ made out of rags.
“You two is there any food ‘ere,” shouted Quaver. “Answer me or I shoot and you’ll never see your friend again!”
“Please, please don’t shoot me,” screamed Zootcrazy.
“There is no more food, she had the last of what we got before you came,” said KT.
Jone went up to CK and KT. She looked into CK’s eyes, “do what we say and no-one gets hurt.”
“Now, Baxzer take them two into that part of the cave while the rest of us search the place!” said Quaver.
“Come on you two,” said Baxzer as he grabbed CK and KT and pushed them towards the bend in the cave.

Episode VIII

A few hours passed and CK and KT remained in the end section of the cave. KT was hoping they wouldn’t find the waterfall entrance, as that would be the quickest way of escape. Baxzer, KT and CK were silent. KT and CK were scared, they didn’t want to be shot, but they were also worried about Zootcrazy in there alone. Suddenly, Quaver appeared round the bend….
KT screamed. Baxzer and Quaver both laughed. “Baxzer I want you to tie up these two. We are taking the other girl, Zootcrazy, with us,” Quaver said as he went back round the bend.
Baxzer took KT and CK back round the bend to see everything that they had left everywhere in the cave.
Moments later, CK and KT were tied up and gagged. Quaver had the gun pointed at Zootcrazy’s head. “We’ll be off now, it seems impossible that you could follow us, but if you do this one, we be dead before you can say ‘the virus’,” Quaver stated as he left.
“CK help!” shouted Zootcrazy. “CK please!”….

Episode IX

Zootcrazy was dragged to the countryside. They set up camp by a stream. Baxzer chained Zootcrazy’s hand together.
“Come join us!” shouted Jone. “There is nothing to fear.”
Zootcrazy went by where all the Nomads were sitting. There was a fire, and loads of food. Zootcrazy couldn’t believe her eyes.
“Maybe I’ll explain,” said Quaver. “Make yourself at home. Don’t worry about anything. Tomorrow we’ll be meeting up with another tribe. We will be selling you as a slave.”
“Wha??,” said Zootcrazy in shock
“So tonight you enjoy yourself. Well, under the circumstances,” said Quaver. “Tell us about yourself, what did you used to be like, you know before the virus?”
“Well ok…. My parents split up when I was young; I got shipped from one parent to the other. My best friend, well at the time was Jordanna, we did everything together. I went to boarding school and us two got up to everything - playing pranks on teachers the lot…

“Go Jor,” said Zootcrazy. “It is your turn.”
“Ok then, what prank shall I do?” asked Jordanna.
“I dunno,” said Zootcrazy.
“How about that string one?” said Jordanna.
“Go on then that one is cool.”
Jordanna set up a load of tripwires in the teacher’s room. All the tripwires were connected to some sort of trap.
“Jor! Mr. Ranthoupe coming,” Zootcrazy whispered loudly.
“ZC keep him busy!” replied Jordanna.
“'K”
Mr. Ranthoupe was after me; he wanted to tell me my mum had gone into hospital with the flu, which was the virus. He told me and headed toward the teacher’s room. He opened the door and suddenly everything flew over him flour, eggs, water and even some sort of green goo.

“Zootcrazy!!!! Jordanna!!!!” shouted Mr Ranthoupe.
“Sorry sir, we gotta go,” said Jordanna as both Jordanna and Zootcrazy walked off laughing.
But as our punishment we had to show the new boy around. His name was CK, the other boy in the cave, but he was twice as mischievous as Jordanna and me…

Episode X

CK found it funny to play jokes on us while we were showing him around. It was funny when he played one on Jordanna. And I think Jordanna found it funny if he played one on me…

“CK, can you stop that now,” said Jor.
“Why?” asked CK. “You two seem to enjoy it.”
“This tour will take forever,” said Zootcrazy. “and I wanna go visit my mum.”
“Why, what’s wrong with your mum???” asked CK.
“She in hospital with the flu,” said Zootcrazy.
“I bet it’s that virus, My parents have died from it, that’s why I’m in here” said CK.

We kind of became friends. A few months later Jordanna’s parents and mine had died as well. The teacher’s were now living, they were coming down with it, the virus. The school became a mess. Tougher kinds ruled it, the new kids and the weak were bullied including CK and me, and Jordanna stood up to the bullies…
“That’ll teach ya,” said a bully after he had just beaten CK up. “Jordanna, come on!”
“No!” shouted Jordanna. “I’m stayin’ with my mate.”
Jordanna made sure no one messed with CK and me, but she caught the virus. She soon died. CK and me left the school and started on our adventure - him getting caught by the locos, a new friend bein’ killed, escaping from the Locos, fallin’ down a waterfall and now me being taken by you…. Now I gotta face another tribe,” Zootcrazy said concluding her story.
“Wow, quite a story,” said Jone.
“Finish your meal and then you'd better get some sleep, you're being sold tomorrow,” said Quaver.
At dawn Zootcrazy and the Nomads left the camp….
