Annie is in the hospital giving birth. Ellen and David are on a plane coming back to Oakdale from their honeymoon. Bo, Chris, Lisa, and Kim (with blonde hair and lots of makeup) visit Annie in the hospital. Also there is Dee, who is engaged to James at this time. Others hanging around the hospital are Maggie, Lyla, Betsy (Meg Ryan), Tom (Justin Deas), and the original Margo (Margaret Colin), who just lost his baby. Karen and John are scheming–she to get James for his money, and he to prevent Dee from marrying James. John and Karen know a secret about James, but they don't say what. John warns Karen to stay away from James, reminding her of Ariel and Barbara, but she is not dissuaded. Margo confesses to Lyla that she still wants Tom.
