Last Destination

Where are you heading?

Where were you heading to on your last trip? Was it Milwaukee, New York, Denver, or L.A.? And where will you be heading to
on your next trip
and your future trips? As a truck driver your goal is to arrive safely at your designated point of dispatch.
You can't be sure you will arrive at your
destination safely, but you will use all of your skills to try to attain this goal.
There is one last Destination, however, that you can be sure of,
Heaven or Hell. It is your choice to make.

Your dispatchers will have no say-so on this trip. You are your own dispatcher, and can pick your own destination and lay-over point.
Would you like to layover forever in a place where you will have no pain, no sorrow, no worries, no trials, no temptations, and failures,
but only
peace and happiness forever and ever? Or do you want to layover in Hell, where you will suffer pain and agony, heart-break
and anguish forever and ever?

The Bible tells us in John 14 that Jesus told His disciples He was going away to prepare a place for us. This place, called Heaven, has twelve
foundations, golden street, wall of jasper, gates of pearl, beautiful fruit tree, and a refreshing river of the water of life flowing through it (Revelation
21-22).
Would you not regret missing a place like this for your final layover point? Sure you would! Jesus does not want you to miss this place either.
He shed His blood and freely gave His life for you, so that you might have an eternal layover point in Heaven.

Remember, you must get on this highway immediately, for the Bible says, "...behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation."
II Corinthians 6:2.  As you know, there are certain qualifications you must meet to become a truck driver. There are also certain qualifications
you must meet to become a Christian. Let's travel down the Romans Highway and see what these qualifications are.

The Romans Road

First, you must realize you are a sinner, because Jesus says He came not to call the righteous but sinners to repentance. The first
stopping place on The Romans Highway is: Romans 3:10 "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:"
Our next stop is Romans 3:23 which says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"

The 2nd thing you must realize is that salvation is in a Person, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 5:12 says, "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed
upon all men, for that all have sinned:"
Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Romans 5:8 says, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

The 3rd thing you must realize is that Jesus will save you if you will call upon His name. Romans 10:9 says, "That if thou
shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him [Jesus] from the
dead, thou shalt be saved." Romans 10:13 promises, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Scripture is taken from the KJV.
