I have enjoyed building my pages at Geocities and learned so much, that I hope I can give back some of what I have learned in helping homesteaders.
I reside on the Texas gulf coast in an industrial community, mother to two absolutely gorgeous daughters, ages 15 and 18 ("can't wait to leave home"), and living with my husband of 27 years. *smile* Both parents have been fortunate to always have gainful employment so we juggle being able to attend all the sports and choir functions the girls are participating in.
We fish, hunt, camp, and ski together. Those times being less frequent as the girls are growing up and away.
We also attend the local baptist church regularly and have many close friends there. Friendships are very important to me, and I never take lightly a kindness displayed, always trying to pause to appreciate and express that pleasure. Both my husband and I are still in frequent contact with friends we made in high school and they are among our most treasured friends. He hunts and fishes with his buddies and I do the lunch/shopping/movie cirquit with mine! *grin* I have been fortunate to meet several internet buddies and feel I have a lifelong bond with several people worlds away. I think it would be wonderful to someday meet these people that I feel so close to on a face-to-face basis, but for now, my Cam will have to do!
My job consumes many hours of my day and I often work long hours. I work for the owners of an industrial tool distributorship handling their personal and corporate communications and travel. In fact, I am the company's travel coordinator, working closely on a daily basis with various travel agencies, airlines, etc. planning trips and meetings nationwide and oftentimes challenged with creative ways to save money and find remote destinations!
Through my travels and work exprience, I've taken many notes and pictures that are included on my website. I also edit and create my company's web pages. Being self taught in HTML, I've also included many of the excellent HTML resources there.
