The
Responsibilities of a Tropics Community Leader
Monitor blocks assigned
to you in your neighborhood. This includes looking for content violations
as defined by the guidelines of GeoCities; nominating pages for the Featured
Page Program; advising residents in ways they can improve their pages.
Act as a liason between
your neighbors and GeoCities. Your member
name and e-mail address
will be posted prominently within the neighbor- hood, so everyone will
know whom to contact with questions or problems. As a result you'll need
to be knowledgeable or be willing to take the time to find answers for
many questions. Current leaders tell us they're getting between 10 and
20 messages a day!
Your Page
must conform to content guidelines and to the theme of your neighborhood.
Recruit and nominate
new Community Leaders by referring those whom you think qualify to the
Community Leader Application, which is located on the bottom of this page.
Many other tasks / duties
that you will be asked to perform.
What advantages
do you have as a CL?
1.
Twenty-five GeoPoints per month.
2.
Increased disk space.
3.
Satisfaction of helping your Neighbors.
4.
A better look at the inner workings of your Community.
5.
Being a part of the Support Team @ GeoCities
6.
Free GeoPlus after 6 months of consecutive service.
7.
A Free GeoShop after 1 Year of consecutive service.

This job is for "MATURE"
individuals only. If your only reason to be
a CL is to get more
space, get more GeoPoints, to monitor chat, or to
get passwords to trade,
you will be very disappointed with being a
Tropics Leader and you will disappoint a great
many people who will be counting on you.
