Visions of Yosemite
Ansel Adams
Half Dome, Merced River. Winter
Yosemite National Park, 1938
From the moment Ansel Adams first saw Yosemite at the turn of the century to the day he died, he was captivated by the Park. The photos Ansel Adams did of Yosemite were among his best known. These include "Monolith: The Face of Half Dome" which is one of the first works that truly made him famous. Though Yosemite is not a hard place to take good pictures, none has done it like the master. His photos show that fascination, that obsession, that love...so clearly. Mirror Lake Yosemite Valley |
