Denali National Park is one of the most famous national park in the world.  Mt Mckinley, the tallest montain in North America is situated within the park which is spanned by the Alaskan Range. There is an abundance of wildlife e.g. bears, caribou, moose, foxes etc living in the park.

Anchorage is the largest city in Alaska and the hub of commercial activities. It is flanked by the Chugach Mountains as well as the waters of the Knik Arm and Turnagain Arm. The busiest float plane harbour is situated at Lake Spenard and Lake Hood.

These mountains stretches from Anchorage eastwards for many kilometres, encompassing the mountain front of Prince William Sound.  There are several treks suitable for day hikes.

Kenai Peninsula is located south of Anchorage and the Chugach Mountains. It is a place of beautiful scenary, numerous hanging and tidewater glaciers. It is also famous for fishing, especially halibut fishing.

Kenai Fjord National Park is a beautiful fjord consisting of numerous waterfalls and several tidewater glaciers from the Harding Icefield. It is home to many species of birds and marine mammals e.g. humpback whales.
