Hawaii Dreams

I love to travel! My favorite vacation spot is Hawaii. I visited Hawaii for the first time in June of 1995 and hope to go back sometime soon. Stop by the Polynesian Cultural Center if you plan a visit to Oahu for the first time. It's something that you should visit once to get to know the different cultures from each island. Did you enjoy the food while visiting Hawaii? If you would like to try cooking it yourself, click here for some recipes. Need more Hawaiian recipes? If so, try this site . Do you enjoy fish? While in Hawaii, make sure you taste the Mahimahi, Ahi, and Ono (to name a few). They are very tasty and are just some of the local seafood delights you can enjoy. Click on the Hawaii Seafood Buyers Guide to read about the local seafood choices and to get great seafood recipes. When I visited Hawaii with my family, our tour guide gave us a homework assignment. We each had to figure out what our Hawaiian names would be. Mine was Lokiana. If you would like to learn your Hawaiian name before you visit, click here. Are you considering visiting Maui? If so, visit The Plantsman's Maui Site for tourist information. To learn more about Hawaii, visit The Hawaiian Home Page, which has great information on the Hawaiian culture, history, the language, and much more.

Delightful Delaware

I also enjoy traveling to Delaware a few times a year. I had an uncle who lived in Rehoboth Beach and I used to enjoy our visits very much. To see information on Rehoboth and the neighboring towns stop here. You will find information on Dining, Lodging, Shopping, and much much more.

Beautiful Bermuda

Have you ever been to Bermuda? If you haven't you should plan to visit there at least once! I love Bermuda and cruised there a few years ago!

Do you need help planning your trip to Bermuda? If so, visit Keyguide's Bermuda Vacation Guide for suggestions and advice.

Other Nice Vacation Spots

If you're looking for a vacation spot with a lot of family oriented activities and shows, then make sure you travel to Branson, Missouri . There are shows for everyone in this town, whether you like country, oldies, or down home entertainment. There's great shopping, plenty of water (make sure you Ride the Ducks if you do visit!), and great food!

I recently returned from a visit to Memphis, where I toured Graceland, home of Elvis Presley. The tour is definately worth doing if you are in the area. They give you headphones to listen to while you walk around the house and the grounds and you get to hear not only about what you are seeing, but interviews with those who knew Elvis, his music, and at times, recorded interviews that he had at various points in his life. While in Memphis, schedule a stop on Beale Street for lunch. We ate at the Rum Boogie Cafe on Beale Street for lunch and then one night we had dinner at a local BBQ place, which has been around since 1948, called the Rendevous. The dry BBQ ribs are excellent and the BBQ sauce that you put on them is delicious! Also make sure you try the beans and the mustard-based cole slaw.

General Travel Information

Something you must do before you travel anywhere is pack. I know I hate to pack and having a list helps to get the packing over with. For a site that gives packing tips, along with listings of items to remember to pack, visit Betty's Travel Kiosk . This site also gives great travel photography tips and useful travel hints.

When I travel, I make sure that I buy a lottery ticket for the local lottery, in hopes that I'll be luckier in another state, than I am at home! But what happens when I forget to check the results before leaving for home??? I've discovered a web site that allows me to check the lottery results. If you need to check your old lottery tickets, for most of the states, visit Lotto Net .

Something else you might want to do while planning your vacation, is visit the location's homepage for tourist information and to request brochures in advance. If you're travelling to one of the 50 states, a visit to The Fifty States homepage, is a great starting point when planning your vacation. You can read about the state to learn more before your visit and while there, click on the link to the states official homepage. Most of the states offer a Division of Tourism page, which gives you the chance to request a state tourism guide. You may also wish to visit Geobop's website, which has links to information on the United States and Canada.

If you are planning to stay in a hotel while on vacation, visit The Exit Guide for some coupons that will help you save money on your vacation.

If you find yourself planning a vacation in the cities listed on this page, you may find this a useful site to visit first. Best Toilets gives advice on where to find bathrooms while visiting various locations.
