"Duel X" ENGAGE PHASE:Start by drawing and handing out 4 cards to both players. Without looking at the card faces, place them face down like this: The field should then look like this: Then hand out 5 cards to each player (Hand). The players then flip all cards on the field face up. Here are what each card represents: Once both players have a hand of 5 cards, and all 8 cards on the field are flipped up, proceed to the Attribute Calculate Phase. ATTRIBUTE CALCULATE PHASE:To figure out each player's attributes: Attack Power: Level x Attack Card # = Attack Power Defense Power: Level x Defense Card # = Defense Power Magic Power: Level x Magic Card # = Magic Power (Here are the values of the letter cards: a King is worth 7, a Queen is worth 5, a Jack is worth zero, and an Ace is worth 11.) Once both players have calculated their attributes, proceed to the next Phase. Example: Level Attack Magic Defense This player's attributes would be: Attack Power: 35 Defense Power: 20 Magic Power: 30 UPGRADE PHASE:You may use the cards in your hand to upgrade your attributes as so: To increase Level: Increase by 1 each round if possible. Example: Round 1: 1P has a Level of 5. 1P has a 6 in his hand. 1P places the 6 on top of the 5 in his Level slot. All his attributes are now multiplied by 6 instead of 5. Round 2: 1P draws a 7 in one of his 7 cards. 1P places the 7 on top of the 6, which is still on top of the 5. His attributes are now multiplied by 7 instead of 6. Round 3: 1P draws a 9, but not an 8. 1P cannot increase his level until he draws an 8, but 1P can place the 9 on one of his other attributes. To increase your Attack, Defense or Magic Power: Play one card on each of your three attributes per turn, if you have a card higher than your current attribute. If any player as a J on any of their attributes, they may steal their opponent's card of the same attribute, then the opponent draws a card and immediately places it on the empty slot. Once both players are done upgrading, repeat the Attribute Calculation Phase, then proceed to the Battle Phase. BATTLE PHASE:Each player decides to use either Attack or Magic Power to battle. If you decide to use Magic, flip the Magic attribute card face down after the Battle Phase, and you cannot use Magic until you Upgrade it with any other card next round.Compare your calculated Attack/Magic Power with your opponent's calculated Defense Power, and compare your opponent's calculated Attack/Magic Power with your calculated Defense Power. If: Your Attack/Magic > Opponent's Defense and Opponent's Attack/Magic < Your Defense YOU WIN If: Your Attack/Magic > Opponent's Defense and Opponent's Attack/Magic = Your Defense YOU WIN If: Your Attack/Magic = Opponent's Defense and Opponent's Attack/Magic < Your Defense YOU WIN If: Your Attack/Magic < Opponent's Defense and Opponent's Attack/Magic > Your Defense OPPONENT WINS If: Your Attack/Magic < Opponent's Defense and Opponent's Attack/Magic = Your Defense OPPONENT WINS If: Your Attack/Magic = Opponent's Defense and Opponent's Attack/Magic > Your Defense OPPONENT WINS If: Your Attack/Magic = Opponent's Defense and Your Attack/Magic = Opponent's Defense DRAW If: Your Attack/Magic > Opponent's Defense and Opponent's Attack/Magic > Your Defense DRAW If: Your Attack/Magic < Opponent's Defense and Opponent's Attack/Magic < Your Defense DRAW If your opponent wins, and if you had chose to use Attack, you can take the card # of your Magic attribute, add it to the card # of your Attack card #, then multiply by your level, and it becomes your new Attack Power. If your combined Attack Power is higher than your opponent's Defense Power, then the round is a draw. Take the card that was formerly your Magic attribute, and flip it face down over the Magic card slot. You cannot use Magic or this Attack + Magic effect until you upgrade it with another card in the Upgrade Phase. RESULT PHASE: A Duel Point is awarded to the winner, all cards stay on the field. Both players may discard any amount of cards, draw cards from the deck until each player has 7 cards in their hand, then start the game from the Upgrade Phase. If the game is a draw, both players discard their entire hand, draw 7 new cards, and begin again from the Upgrade Phase. If there are two draws in a row, re-shuffle the deck and begin again from the Engage Phase, keeping track of each players' Duel Points. Thanks and have fun! |

"Modify" Modify is a simple game. Start by handing out seven cards to each player. The object is to end up with all the cards. Select one of your cards, hold it up not letting anyone else see, then all players place it face-up on the field at the same time. The player with the highest card keeps all cards laid on the field. Any Royals played mmmust be discarded after they have been used. An Ace can be played twice, then discarded. If a player plays a J, the opponent holds out their hand so the player can't see the cards, but can see how many card they have. The player can then randomly steal one card from the opponent's hand. (The card the opponent played against the J cannot be taken). The J is then discarded. (Card Values:J 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 Q K A) When a player runs out of cards to play, they lose. At any time, a player may call out for A Duel. The player then selects an opponent (if there are three or more ppl playing), and both players must agree on a number of cards to be played (must be two or more) Both players then select that many cards from their hand, add up the totals, (Letter Values: K = 7 Q = 5 J = 0 A = 11) and show their selected cards to their opponent at the same time. The player with the highest total keeps all cards laid, except for royals and Aces played for the second time, which get discarded. If you wish to have an extremely quick match, a player may call out a Quickdraw at the beginning of the game. The players then add up their entire hand's total (letter values above), and show their hand to their opponent. The player with the highest total wins the game. |
