We felt this page needed to be written.

Over the past few months (a couple of years actually), we've received many, many resumés from very qualified people (a majority of whom had graduated from art schools and other reputable institutions). Those of you who have sent them may have been dismayed at not getting a response. We have been flattered by these applications, since it tells us that you consider Indigogames to be a worthwhile company to seek employment with (along with a paycheck or salary ;).

However, Indigogames is not currently making any money. We are working on our first game, without funding from outside sources. All of our members are contributing to this project out of their own pockets, and are either holding jobs, finishing school, or living at home (some of these situations lead to obvious complications in a game's development cycle, but that's another topic). Until we get our first game published, we will not have made a single cent off of our game development.

So, even if we wanted to hire you, regretfully, we couldn't pay you.

As for those of you webpage design companies asking to develop our webpage:

Our Lead Programmer, and co-founder, Fred Doughty's primary (money-making) job is in the field of programming (including cgi script and java -- mostly backends for websites). Besides most of the information that needs to be assembled for placement on the webpage needs to be handled in-house, to get our thoughts across. Currently, the webpage is aimed towards potential publishers, not customers, as we wish to keep a low profile until we're really close to releasing a commercial game.

So, we thank you for your offers to design our website, but frankly, we wouldn't be able to pay you anyway. ;-)
