Covering The Land In Darkness.

In The Shadow Of The Black Moon,

Flooding The Land With The Seal Of Light.

The words spoken by the Moon Prophets millenia ago, were recorded by K'lorian scribes in an ancient tome of prophesy as a warning of danger, and beacon of hope to those who could understand it.

Eons have passed without incident, and the world has come to know these stories as fables, not history.

It was at this time that the third moon of Talmos, the Indigo Moon, shone thrice, as prophesied... and a rift in time and space opened, releasing ancient, evil beings, once banished by ancient warriors. The evil beings which were released from their prison were still without bodies in this realm. They had to find bodies with suitable mental conditions to inhabit and control. However, this was easy, since the human societies themselves were already riddled with crime and corruption.

With the help and knowledge of these evil creatures, the military minds of the time were able to design and build weapons which caused death in many miserable ways. Violence spread over the world almost over night.

It was Drazen, the Emperor of Arsenia (The strongest world power on Talmos), who was "possessed" by the evil beings, that started the war to take over the entire world for himself... using advanced bio-engineered warriors to fight his battles for his self-proclaimed cause of "Reunifying the world under the Ariannian Empire."

The evil forces struck out against the world; entire cities were razed in their path. The people of the world fell into the control of the evil warlord.

Nations still exist in opposition to Drazen - powerful nations - but they are on the brink of annihilation, for Kingdoms no longer exist where the possessed Drazen has put his foul hands.

It is in this dismal world that Dawn of the Twilight Star takes place, and you are the lucky one to rise up against the evil of Drazen by choosing one of these main characters.

Just a side note: The plot is a lot more interesting than the cliché "possessed warlord taking over the world." Although, that setting does get people thinking in a certain frame of mind that sets them up just right for the wonderful twists I have in store >)
