You head towards the mountains. The land rises steadily up to their feet. As you get closer, you notice a narrow winding trail, and decide to take it.
Half-way up the mountain, a deep voice commands you to stop. You look around warily for the source of the voice. Still, you jump when a large griffon emerges from the rocks over your head.
"Hello. My name is Zeram. Are you afraid of me?" the griffon says, looking you straight in the eye. You manage to nod. "Ah," he continues. "I am sorry. I don't deal much with humans. Perhaps you can help me, though. You see, we've outgrown our hunting grounds, and we need new places to live. New eggs in particular need other places to stay. Do you know of any place that might welcome a griffon?"
Emboldend by Zeram's polite manner, you explain to him the common practice of adopting out eggs to other lands. You mention that you might just have a place for a griffon egg.
"Wonderful!" he exclaims. "Of course, we'd want to know a bit about where the eggs are going to. So, if you want an egg, would you please fill out the adoption request form?"
"Of course," Zeram tells you, "all the normal rules apply..kid safe pages only, put a link back to this site, ect. You know what I mean. Hum, what else. Oh, the babies will grow through four stages, egg, hatching, teen and adult. They'll end up looking like me, but in different colors."
There are three different ranks of colors. These are common, uncommon, and rare. Color indicates gender as well as rank. Who gets what color will be based on a random drawing. Here is a list of colors, their gender, and their ranks:
