You watch Evend and the greeting party disappear through the Palace Gates. After a moment's thought, you decide to follow them. You step off the grass and onto the wide paved road that leads up to them. You realize as you hurry along it that you are farther from the palace than you thought. As you get closer, you realize why. The gates are huge! They are several stories tall. There is no moat around the palace wall--it would be a shame to ruin such a magnificent picture with a scummy smelly moat--but as you get a look at the thick doors, you think that one isn't needed.
You pass through the gate's arched shadow, and emerge to look out on a grass lawn. At the end of the green expanse rises the pearl walls of the palace itself. In between are lovingly tended flowerbeds, many of which surround ellaborate fountains. "So," asks Raidly. "Where would you like to go?"
Straight in front of you is the main palace entrance. Immediately to your right is the guard house. Off to your left you can see an opening in an interesting looking hedge, while ahead and to the right is a particularly big fountain.
You are traveler number to come here.
