Aaaaaah...the good old days
when metal was cheezy...I was a huge Poison fan back in the 80's.
Before you play this game, I want to clear up the meaning of the term "choral
screaming. Choral screaming is the style that most hair metal songs
backing vocals or choruses take...many voices half yelling/half singing
in perfect harmony...(the best example of this is in "Emotional Fire" by
Cher off her "Heart of Stone" album.)
-
sexist lyrics - 2 drinks if sexist
song is followed by a diametrically opposed absolutely non-sexist song
-
obvious rhyming - you've never
heard the song before but you can pick out the next lyric
-
you wonder how long it took them
to nail the choral screaming harmonies
-
guitar screeching noise
-
a song is about a girl who wants
to "be something"
-
guitar solo sounds like every
other Poison guitar solo
-
Bret Michaels sounds like his
nose is plugged when he sings
-
chord progression is unimaginative
-
CHEEZY lyrics
-
the song starts with choral screaming
-
the chorus consists of choral
screaming for some reason you can look fast the cheese and silliness and
enjoy the music
-
BIG HAIR
-
look like chicks -- 2 drinks if
the person with you (your cousin perhaps?!) thinks that they actually ARE
chicks
-
all of the actual chicks in the
video look identical
-
female characters in the songs
are referred to as "girls"...NEVER women!
-
slow song sounds like country
music
-
the music is predictable - you
can cue the instruments in even if you don't know the song...you can see
how it is constructed
-
the song is about getting laid
-- 2 drinks if it's with a "sweet young thing"
-
the video contains dance routines
by the band members --2 if this dance routine involves standing in a line
moving the necks of their guitars up and down
-
someone jumps
-
someone kicks
-
eyeliner
-
blush
-
tight pants
-
lipstick
-
bleached hair
-
cowboy boots
-
animal print clothing
-
bandannas
-
open shirts
-
nail polish
