Roto awakes from a dream on his sixteenth
birthday, to his mother's voice. She tells him that it is the day
that he sees the king of Aliahan. Upon visiting the king, the Hero
is informed about a rising evil that will soon conquer the land.
He is also told that his father, Ortega, set off long ago to defeat this
evil never to return. This evil is Baramous, the Archfiend.
Roto vows to set out and defeat the Archfiend; avenging his father and
restoring peace. He begins his quest in Lucia's place, recruiting
hardy adventurers who will aid him in his adventure. The Hero and
his party leave Aliahan to fight the evil, and end up facing much more
than they anticipated.
You are Roto, the Hero, son of the
great warrior Ortega. In this remix of the final chapter of the Roto
saga, there is much improved graphics and sound over the original Dragon
Quest III. There are new character classes, music, and vastly improved
battle animations which top even Dragon Quest VI. This game won best
RPG in Japan for 1996, and is many people's favorite of the Super Famicom
Dragon Quests.
