The reaction of top 20 in Yahoo! ladder when they heard that Yahoo! is resetting the ladder September 1, 1999:

• An eternal #1 decided to retire in 2 weeks..... Most probably the main ID only......
• Some thought Yahoo! is bluffing so they continued business as usual..... Not playing......
• Most of top 10 announced they were already tired and bored..... They were handing over their positions to their 2nd IDs.....
• Some started top secret meetings everywhere..... Preparing plans to remain top 20 after resetting.....
• Some started scratching their heads..... Trying to remember how they became top 20 in April.....
• Some lost hope..... Stopped completely playing..... And started dropping in rank.....
• Some stopped playing..... To spend their time more productively planning for the D-Day..... On September 1.....
• Some started to rank monger..... Hoping Yahoo! will change their mind and not reset ladder.....
• All became very sociable with everybody..... You never know who is going to be top 10 in September.....
• Some started playing lower ranks..... Trying to attract friends in the future top 10..... Don't be surprised if you get an invitation from a top 10.....
• Some started to invite their so-called blacklisted players..... Hoping they will not treat them the same way and boycott them when they invade the top 10.....
• Some are moving themselves to ranks 101, 201, 301..... Maybe Yahoo! will just cut the first 100 or 200 or 300 ranks.....
• Some are joining with new IDs..... they keep them at the bottom of ranks..... May be Yahoo! will just reverse the ranks.....
• Some are fighting to get top ranks in Case's..... Wondering if Yahoo! would adopt Case's ranking for resetting.....
• Some were scared to death that their days are over..... With every Yahoo! lagging and if the Yahoo! sever is defunct.....
• Some ordered new computers..... Trying to overcome Yahoo! measures for detecting cheaters with multiple IDs..... ISDN installations increased by 1200%.

• Some started to sleep more hours..... They want to be awake for 72 hours starting August 30.....
• Some thought Yahoo! is bluffing so they continued business as usual..... Rank mongering.....
• Some announced they were already tired and bored..... They registered in Case's.....
• Some laughed hard..... Wished the present top 20 the best and to enjoy the remaining days.....
• Some had deep bubble bath..... Preparing for ass kissing when becoming top 10.....
• Some started preparing their boycott lists..... It contained the present top 20 and their 200 aliases.....
• Some started to rank monger..... Hoping Yahoo! will change their mind.....
• All started to prepare their gangs..... No sleeping preparing strategies to invade top 10 on September 1.....
• Some started preparing for online parties..... Trying to be stand by on September 1.....
• Some were wondering what Yahoo! Time is..... GMT, PT, CT, EST.....
• Those not sure when Yahoo! is having the resetting..... To be on the safe side they coordinated continuous shifts among their gang starting August 31.....
• Some are joining with new IDs..... they keep them at the bottom of ranks..... May be Yahoo! will just reverse the ranks.....
