Macross 7 is a new series aired in japan and has 49 episodes including a sequel and a movie. The storyline centers around a band called Fire Bomber, a member of it is Max and Millia's daughter Mylene Jenius. Max and Millia are also in the show as supporting characters, however there is a lot of tension between the two. Max is captain and Millia has become Mayor of the giant ship-city. They encounter a race of aliens who are hostile called ProtoDevlins.
