Hi! My name is Terence Joseph V. Peñeda. I was born
on May 1, 1977. I spent my childhood growing up in Palo, Leyte.
I lived on V. Petilla Street, Barangay Cavite West with my grandparents, Atty. Jesus and Caridad Velasco. I went to Palo Central Elementary School for
kindergarten and also elementary school where I graduated in 1990. On July of 1990, my family and I immigrated to the United States and settled in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I continued my education
in Virginia Beach at Bayside Junior High School and then at Bayside High
School graduating with honors (Class of 1996. Go Marlins!!).
I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Public
Administration with a major in Accounting and a minor in Economics at Old
Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. I am currently residing
in Norfolk, Virginia.
My favorite hobbies would have to be working (don't ask!), investing in
the stock market, surfing on the internet, and watching sports. My
favorite sports to watch are college football and basketball (UVA fan),
and major league baseball. My favorite foods to eat are chinese food and
of course, filipino food. I like listening to alternative music and
OPM's. I also like to watch movies whenever I have the time.
This short autobiography about myself would not be complete if I didn't
mention my significant other half. Her name is Jennezel Gapuz.
We met when I went home to the Philippines for a vacation in 1996 and have
been together ever since. She's from Bauang, La Union and is currently
working as a computer programmer for Maybank Philippines' I.T. division
in Manila. She earned her degree in Computer Science at Lorma College in San Fernando, La Union. Mailiwak kenka
manang! Ammom mon no anya ti kayatko nga ibagbaga kaniam!
In 1996, I became fascinated about the internet and somehow wanted to be
a part of it so I tried to learn html. I got the idea of creating
a homepage for the Paloanos of the East Coast, USA because it's a good
subject that everyone will like to see and visit. The homepage of the Paloanos
of the East Coast, USA came into being on January of 1997. Over the
years, this website has continued to grow from its very humble beginnings
and will continue to do so in the future. I will do my best in continuing to
maintain this website as long as my life in the real world permits me.
I would like to dedicate this website to the Paloanos of the East Coast,
USA and the town of Palo, Leyte. I will never forget my fond memories of
Palo and its people and will always consider Palo as my real hometown.
I would like to say thanks to everyone who have made this website possible
and to all Palon-ons for their support.
Maupay nga aga, udto, o gab-i ha iyo ngatanan! Madamo nga salamat!! |
