Sailor Moon- A Canadian Adventure

Serena Tsukino busily packed her bags, then checked around her room for her passport. It was to be her first trip out of Japan, for she was going to Canada to see some of her cousins, Randi, Sarah and Kristine...and even all of the other Scouts were coming too!

There were many families living in Tokyo with Western-style names, and Serena's was no exception. Her real name was "Usagi", which means "rabbit", but everyone knew her as Serena. It was because of her mixed heritage. She herself was born in Tokyo, Japan, but she had ties to Canada through her grandfather (Serena's mother's father). She had many relatives living there, and it was at the insistence of her mother to go see her cousins. Randi, Sarah and Kristine were all Serena's age, lived in Toronto, but knew nothing about Japan compared to Serena's little knowledge about Canada. "This would be a good way to teach each other about our different cultures. I'm so excited!" she said to her cat, Luna, as she packed the last of her things. "Well be careful, Serena," Luna advised. "You never know what evil may pop up. Pack your Disguise Pen just in case." Luna carried it in her mouth and looked up at Serena. Serena took it from Luna and packed it in her suitcase. Pacing about her room to find her passport, she finally found it on her nightstand, right next to a framed photograph of her with her boyfriend, Darien Chiba, taken outside the rose garden at Jyuban Park. Serena gave a sigh and said to herself, "I'm really going to miss Darien, only if it is for two weeks" So she decided to pack the photograph so she can always remember him, then stuck her passport in her bunny-print tote. "Have a good trip, Serena!" Luna called out. "Be careful!"

A couple of hours later, Serena found herself at Narita Airport with her friends Amy Mizuno, Raye Hino, Lita Kino, Mina Aino, Sandra Meiou, Michelle Kaioh, Alicia Ten'ou and Lauren Tomoe, ready to board the plane on a cross-Pacific journey to Canada. "According to this guidebook, we stop in Vancouver for re-fueling, then land at Toronto's Pearson Airport. We have to cross over the International Date Line to get there." Amy said, her nose buried in a Canadian guidebook. "Put away the books, Amy. We're going on vacation! No need to study." teased Lita.

"Hey guys," said Serena. "Luna told me to be careful while we're on this trip, she says that baddies might show up." "Funny," said Mina. "Artemis told me the same thing. Who knows what enemies might pop up in Canada." The other Scouts nodded, especially Sandra, who was the oldest of the Scouts and could see into the future because of her duty guarding the gate of time. "I suggest we be on our guard," she said. Finally, a voice spoke in Japanese over the loudspeaker. "Attention. Flight 1499 to Toronto is now boarding at Gate Fifteen. Please proceed to the boarding area immediately." Picking up their carry-on luggage, the Scouts headed to the gate, ready to embark on their cross-Pacific adventure.

" We're in Canada! I can't believe it!" Lita cried when the plane touched down in Vancouver several hours later, so the plane can have a re-fueling. The Scouts were sitting in a restaurant inside the Vancouver airport eating hamburgers, fries and milkshakes.

"What's Canada like anyway, Amy?" Lauren asked Amy, her nose still buried in her guidebook. "Well, Lauren," Amy replied. "The capital city is Ottawa, the currency is the Canadian dollar, its government runs on a democratic system, and there are ten provinces, two territories and six time zones." Alicia spoke up next. "So is there any difference between here and Japan?" Amy looked up from her book. "Alicia, some of the major differences between here and Japan is their language, their land and some of the things they do for fun." she told her. "The two main languages are English and French, the land is bigger and they have six time zones compared to our one, and Canadians mostly enjoy hockey, lacrosse and other sports."

Alicia was amazed, but Serena didn't listen, for she was busy polishing off a large hot-fudge sundae. "Serena, by the time you've finished that sundae, the plane will leave without us! Come on!" teased Raye. "I can't help it Raye! It's just so good!" Serena replied. Just then, a voice came over the loudspeaker in the terminal. "Will all those on Flight 1499 form Tokyo to Toronto please proceed to Gate Twelve. The plane has been re-fueled and is ready to take off" Michelle got up first, followed by the others. "Come on guys!" said Michelle. "We're on our way again!"

Hours later, the plane landed safely at Toronto's Pearson Airport. As the Scouts made their way through customs, they chatted about all the things that they wanted to see while they were there. They blurted out everything from seeing shows to shopping as they made their way into the terminal. Three teenage girls stood in front of the crowd, carrying a large banner that read "WELCOME SERENA!" One was a long, blonde-haired girl wearing a pink sundress, another had wavy light brown hair and wore jeans and a silver tank top, while the third had cropped blonde hair streaked with blue dye and wore a black halter top and white jeans. The three hugged their cousin and got a good look at her. "Wow, Serena. Your mother told us that you were a real beauty," the girl in the sundress remarked, who was Serena's cousin Sarah. "Welcome to Canada, Serena. How was your flight?" said the girl wearing the tank top, who was Kristine. "It was okay, Kristine." replied Serena. "You look great from the picture you sent me."

Randi, the girl wearing the halter top, studied Serena's entourage. "Who are your friends, Serena?" she asked. Serena gestured to her friends. "These are my friends Amy Mizuno, Raye Hino, Lita Kino, Mina Aino, Sandra Meiou, Alicia Ten'ou, Michelle Kaioh and Lauren Tomoe. They decided to come with me." she said. The three cousins nodded. "Well our parents are out of town for a month, so our house can accommodate all of you," said Randi. "Two can sleep in our parents' room, two more can go in the guest room, two can sleep on the sofa-bed in the family room, and another three can sleep in the basement." Kristine then said, "Come on, you guys. We came out in a rented mini-bus, so let's go right now!"

The three sisters started walking, and the Scouts followed. Unbeknownst to the Scouts, two mysterious people were keeping track of them, for they were from a dangerous youma syndicate that had come to Canada for one purpose-to eradicate the Sailor Scouts. "The Sailor Scouts have arrived, I see," said the guy known as the Master. "We must destroy them, even if it means destroying Canada" said his partner.

"Wow, what a place!" commented Michelle as Randi, Kristine and Sarah led the nine Scouts into their downtown home, a large, spacious home overlooking Yonge Street. "It's cool, isn't it?" said Kristine. "Our parents are really big at their jobs." Sarah put their luggage in a corner, then gave them the grand tour. "Serena," said Randi, "why don't you sleep in the guest room? It's right next door to my own. And you can choose someone to sleep with."

Serena looked at her friends. Knowing that she didn't want to sleep with Raye because it would erupt into an all-out war between them, she chose Mina as her roommate. Raye and Amy agreed to sleep on the sofa-bed, Lauren and Michelle took the master bedroom and Lita, Sandra and Alicia agreed to take the basement. The sisters helped move all of the Scouts' luggage into their respective rooms, then they all congregated on the patio on how to make the most of their visit. "Since you guys just got here, we'll make the rest of today as a get-acquainted period," said Kristine. "Tomorrow we can explore downtown and hit all of the great shops-the Eaton Centre, HMV, you name it." Hearing about shopping made Serena's eyes light up. Even Mina, Lita and Lauren looked interested. "Shopping? How cool!" Serena said, stars lighting up in her eyes. She thought it was going to be a good adventure after all.

The next day, Serena, her friends and her cousins were walking along Yonge Street, taking in the sights and sounds of downtown Toronto. Stopping in front of HMV, they decided to check it out.

Randi and Kristine headed off towards the video section, Sandra and Michelle went up to the classical section, Lauren, Alicia, Sarah and Raye took the down stairs to check out some alternative albums, while Mina, Serena, Lita and Amy stayed on the main level and looked at the pop albums. "Wow, this place is so huge! It's like a virtual music library here!" Lita said in awe. "And there's lots to choose from too. Lots of different titles." agreed Amy. Serena and Mina walked up and down the aisle, looking for a cool compact disc or two. Mina pulled a CD off the shelf and examined it. "Cool!" she said, showing the disc to Serena. "I've been looking for this. It's by the Spice Girls, my favorite Western pop group! They're so totally cool!" Serena agreed. "I like them too," she said. "My favorite is Baby Spice. How about you?" Mina smiled. "I like Scary myself" she said, deciding to buy the CD, which was the Spices' first album, Spice. As for Serena, she pulled Spice World off the shelf, then took a look at the soundtracks.

"Too bad Riverdance never plays Tokyo," she said to herself, taking the soundtrack to the popular Irish dance show off the shelf. "I heard the music was awesome." She met Mina at the cash register and got in line behind Amy and Lita, who each bought three compact discs. Lita had chosen the soundtrack to The Simpsons, a compilation of songs from the 80s and Natalie Imbruglia's new album. As for Amy, she chose a compilation of Disney songs. Just as they paid for their items and met the others, they heard a loud...

KABOOM!!!

People were screaming and running around as a huge explosion shook Yonge Street. Serena and Amy looked out the door to see what was going on. They discovered a large crater in the street right in the intersection of Yonge and Dundas. Three large, mysterious figures floated over the crater, terrorizing the people. "Where are they?" shouted one of the figures. "Well continue destroying your city if you don't tell me where the Sailor Scouts are. Where are they?" Ducking back into the shop, Serena and Amy gathered their friends together and Serena told her cousins to run for safety. When they were out of their sight, Amy said to the others, "Something's not right out there. We have got to check it out." "Sailor Scout time?" Alicia asked, and the others nodded. It was time to transform.

"MOON PRISM POWER!"
"MERCURY POWER!"
"MARS POWER!"
"JUPITER POWER!"
"VENUS POWER!"
"PLUTO POWER!"
"URANUS POWER!"
"NEPTUNE POWER!"
"SATURN POWER!"
"SAILOR SCOUT POWER!!!!!!"

All the girls transformed into their Sailor Scout forms. With Sailor Moon at the lead, they ran towards the scene of the disaster. The youma were still looming over the crater in the middle of the street, still asking for the whereabouts of the Sailor Scouts. Just then, they heard a voice call out.

"Looking for us, sleaze brains?"

The youma turned around to see nine forms standing on top of a building, with Sailor Moon in front. "That's right, we're the Sailor Scouts, champions of love and justice, fighting for a peaceful world," said Sailor Moon. "In the name of the Planets, we will right wrongs and triumph over evil...and that means you!"

"Come and take us on...if you dare!" said Sailor Mars.

"We'll set you up and knock you down!" added Sailor Jupiter. Turning to Venus, she asked her if they could do a double-team on these slimeballs, and Venus obliged.

"JUPITER THUNDER CRASH!!!"
"VENUS CRESCENT BEAM SMASH!!!"

The head youma absorbed the powers of Jupiter and Venus, then turned it back on them tenfold. Venus and Jupiter were lying on the ground in pain, Saturn and Pluto rushing to their aid. Sailor Uranus used her World Shaking power, but ended up on the ground right at Sailor Mars' feet, unconscious. Mercury stepped forward, shielding the Scouts with her bubbles, but in the fog, the head youma dragged Sailor Moon up to her feet as she was taking care of Sailor Uranus, then disappeared! Another youma took Sailor Neptune into his clutches and disappeared after his master.

"SAILOR MOON!!!" cried Sailor Mercury. "She's gone!"

Sailor Moon woke up from what seemed to be an eternal sleep. She was in a room next to Sailor Neptune, tied up in ropes and trying to break free. "You will not be able to break free," said the head youma. "Those ropes were designed to withstand trying to escape." Holding out his hand, he towered over Sailor Moon. "Now, you will do me one small favor. Hand over your Imperium Silver Crystal, and do it now!" "I won't do it! Not in a million years!" she replied. The head youma cast a powerful lightning spell at Sailor Moon, and she fell to the ground unconscious, her ropes gone. "Sailor Moon! Get up! Please!" said Sailor Neptune, panicked. "SHUT UP!!" the head youma cried out, and used the same lightning spell against Neptune, who collapsed beside her ally. "Prepare for your end, or give me the Silver Crystal," he said. "It's your choice! Don't make it hard on yourself, give me the crystal right now!"

Meanwhile, back on Yonge Street, the four Sailor Scouts still standing knelt beside their fallen comrades. "Sailor Moon and Sailor Neptune have been captured by the youma" reported Sailor Mercury. "I think they're in danger." Opening her computer, she brought up a map of the city to track the youma's whereabouts.

While she did that, Mars turned to Pluto. "Do you think Rini might be able to help us rescue Sailor Moon?" she asked. "I'll try and contact her," answered Pluto. Holding up her staff, she yelled, "Open the gates of time and space and bring forth Small Lady! I need her now!
PLUTO TELEPORT POWER!!!" A small pink hole appeared overhead and Rini fell out of the sky, holding Luna-P. "Hi, everyone!" said a smiling Rini. "What's up?" "Rini," said Pluto, "we need your help. Sailor Moon has been captured by the youma, and we must ask your help to save her. Transform and become Sailor Chibi Moon." Rini smiled and nodded, then began to yell "MOON PRISM POWER!" in her small voice. Pink energy surrounded her, and she transformed into Sailor Chibi Moon before the Scouts' eyes. "I found out where they are," said Sailor Mercury triumphantly. "They're being held in a large warehouse five blocks from here." She turned to Sailor Saturn and Sailor Pluto. "Take care of Venus, Jupiter and Uranus." she said. "Mars, you and Rini come with me." Mars and Rini ran behind Mercury, leaving Saturn and Pluto to watch their allies.

Back in the warehouse, Sailor Moon regained consciousness, but was being shaken violently by the head youma. "Give me the crystal NOW!!!" he yelled. "I will not!" said Sailor Moon. The youma threw her back against the wall with extreme force, and she slumped to the ground in pain. The youma drew forth a mammoth lightning spell which surrounded Sailor Moon, giving her a painful electrical shock. The youma laughed in delight, but didn't see a shower of powerful pink heart-shaped fireworks come toward him.

"PINK SUGAR HEART ATTACK!!!"

It was Rini, with Mars and Mercury behind her. Mercury ran for Sailor Moon and cradled her lifeless body in her arms. Her friend's clothes were torn, her hair stained with black ash and blood protruded from cuts on her face. She was in a coma, never to wake up. While Mercury took care of her, Mars and Neptune teamed up against the youma.

"I call upon the power of Mars...FIREBALL CHARGE!" Mars yelled, tossing out a scroll. Channeling her fire powers, she called upon her Firebird.

"MARS FIREBIRD STRIKE!"

Neptune sent a tidal wave of water with the power of Mars' Firebird. "DEEP SUBMERGE!!" The two powers encircled the head youma and destroyed him for good. Rini then used a special power that her mother had shown her, and the four of them teleported out of the warehouse and back to Yonge Street to meet up with the other Sailors.

"Sailor Moon!" Pluto cried as the four brave heroes appeared back on Yonge Street. Mercury laid the fallen leader on the street as Pluto and Saturn rushed to their side. With Jupiter, Uranus and Venus still lifeless on the ground, Mars asked Saturn to assist them. As she went to work healing her fallen allies, Mars started to cry because she felt she had not only lost the leader of the Sailor Scouts, she had lost her best friend. While Mercury, Pluto and Rini comforted her, they didn't notice Sailor Moon crack open her eyes a little, trying to get up off of the ground.

But somehow, her eyes closed again. She fell hard against the street.

And the world around her went black.

Serena lay still in a hospital bed with a bandage on her forehead, her eyes still closed, with her friends surrounding her, except Raye. She was staring out the window at the cloudy sky as rain pelted the glass. Her chin buried in her hands, she heard the pitter-patter of the rain and the beeping of the heart machine beside Serena's bed. A tear trickled down her cheek as she started to cry. "She's been like this for several days now," she said to herself between sobs. "I really hate to admit it, but I'm really starting to miss the Meatball Head." Just then, Mina and Lauren joined her to console her. "Are you alright, Raye?" said Mina. Raye shook her head. "What if Serena never wakes up?" she asked. "I love her so much, and now..." Mina gave her a big hug. "You guys may fight a lot, but deep inside you really do care for Serena, don't you?" Still crying, Raye nodded. "Why don't you come near the bed and talk to her?" asked Lauren. "I'm sure she can still hear you." She took Raye by the hand, and led her to Serena's bedside. Sandra and Amy moved over to make room for her, their own faces stained with tears.

"Serena, if you can hear me, it's Raye." she began. "Please don't leave us, you're the best friend I can ever have. We may fight a lot, and we may have differences of opinion, but deep inside, I really care for you. You're the closest person to a friend that I could ever know. What will we ever do without you if you leave us? I love you so much! I love you....", she said, her lip trembling. She closed her eyes, started to cry and laid her head against Serena's lifeless body. On the other side of the bed, Lita was crying too, as Rini held Amy's hand in hers for support. If Serena died now, Rini thought, then Neo-Queen Serenity would not exist in the future, meaning that she wouldn't have a mother. Without her presence in the present, the future of Crystal Tokyo would be jeopardized forever. Closing her eyes, Rini said something to herself. "Please don't die, Mommy. I need you."

Raye was still crying for Serena to wake up. Suddenly, she felt something move beneath her. Raye raised her head to see what was going on...Serena was stirring! Kneeling beside the bed, Raye watched as Serena stirred some more, then slowly cracked open her eyes. Turning her head slowly towards Raye, she smiled at her. "Raye," she said softly, then turned away. Raye smiled at Serena, then blinked back tears of joy. "She came through! Serena made it!" Raye cried out. Amy and Lita hugged each other with joy, Alicia and Michelle breathed a sigh of relief, and Sandra and Mina wiped tears from their eyes. "Lauren," asked Raye, "do you think you can help heal some of Serena's wounds?"

The young girl obliged, and kneeling by the bedside, she put her hand on Serena's heart. Closing her eyes, Lauren focused all of her concentration and powers into helping Serena get better. Then before Raye and the others knew it, Lauren had drawn away from the bedside, and Serena's wounds, cuts and bruises were gone...except for the large gash on her forehead and a cut near the left side of her heart.

Just then, a doctor came into the room. "She stirred a little, then said Raye's name." Mina said softly to the doctor. Clearing the way to Serena's side, he watched her with concern. Serena cracked open her eyes again and turned towards the doctor. "I feel dizzy," she said, then fell back asleep. "Serena," the doctor said softly, "there's another person here who would like to see you." Serena's friends now grouped by the window and saw a tall young man carrying a bouquet of red roses. It was Darien. Mina quickly rushed to the bedside and plumped up Serena's pillows as the doctor carefully lifted her head. Serena opened her eyes as she saw Darien looking at her. "Oh, Darien," she said softly. "You're here." "Amy and Sandra sent me a telegram telling me that you were critically hurt. I came to see you as fast as I could." he replied. Placing the flowers in a vase which held a larger bouquet from Serena's cousins, he leaned over Serena, whose eyes were closed again, and tenderly kissed her lips, then stepped back. "I love you, Serena, and I always will." Darien whispered in her ear, then joined her friends near the window .

The doctor turned to face Serena's friends. "Serena still has a bit of a mild concussion, and that gash on her forehead needs to be closed up. She needs to stay here in the hospital for at least another week." he told them. "I will call her parents back in Tokyo telling them what happened. Only two of you will be able to stay with her, while the rest of you will return to Serena's cousins' place. I will keep in touch." With that, the doctor left the room and Serena's cousins entered. Darien and Raye agreed to stay with Serena, while the others left. Michelle leaned closer to the bed. "Get well soon, Serena," she whispered, then left with the others, leaving her in Darien and Raye's care.

Back at the cousins' place, Randi got in touch with her parents, letting them know what happened. "Let's have dinner," Sarah suggested. "We'll say a special prayer for Serena's recovery."

Around the dinner table, the ten girls stared down at their food while Sarah led them in a prayer, wishing for Serena to get well soon. Just then, Rini started to cry. "I MISS SERENA!!!!!" she wailed. Amy rushed to comfort her, then took her back to the room she shared with Lita. "Poor Rini," said Kristine sadly. "She really misses Serena, doesn't she?" "She sure does," said Sandra. "After all, Serena is Rini's mom 1000 years from now." "True," added Lita. "We saw the future back where we come from. The King of the Earth showed us everything." Then Randi had an idea. "If Rini misses Serena so much, why not have someone take her to the hospital so she can see her." she suggested. It was then everyone's idea to have Amy take her because of the way she responded to Rini's situation.

Meanwhile, Amy was sitting on her bed, cuddling Rini in her arms while she cried. "It's okay, Rini," said Amy, "she'll get better."

When Amy and Rini were out of earshot, Mina and the others were discussing something nice to do for Serena upon her release from the hospital. "Why not throw her a surprise party?" suggested Alicia. "Parties always cheer Serena up." "Yeah," added Lauren, "we can give her presents and Lita can make a chocolate cake. If there's anything Serena really loves, it's chocolate." Everybody agreed with Alicia's plan, and Sandra divided up the work. Lita, Randi and Mina would be on kitchen duty, Michelle and Kristine would do the decorations, Sandra, Lauren, Sarah and Alicia would take care of presents and Amy and Rini would make special party hats, with a tiara for Serena.

Amy and Rini went to Serena's hospital room, where Serena was still sleeping and Raye and Darien were keeping watch. Rini was still crying, and rushed over to Raye, where she took her in her arms. "Oh Chibiusa-chan," she whispered, gently calling Rini by her Japanese name and stroking her pink hair. "You're afraid that Serena's condition might get worse, but she's really getting better. You'll see." Just then, Amy got a call on the cellular phone that Randi let her borrow. It was Mina on the other line, discussing plans for a welcome-home surprise party for Serena upon her discharge from the hospital. "Okay Mina. I'll tell her," Amy said. Darien looked out into the hallway and saw Serena's parents walking towards her hospital room. Amy and Rini stepped into the hallway to let Mr. and Mrs. Tsukino in. Amy took Rini down to the cafeteria to get some ice cream to cheer Rini up, and told her all about her friends' idea.

"Darien told me Serena's on the mend, and she'll be out in about five days," Amy said, as Rini smiled a bit. "When she comes back to her cousins' house, we're going to throw her a big surprise party." "Goody!" said Rini, her tears all gone. "If there's anything Serena loves better than anything else, it's a party." Getting up from her chair, she held Luna-P tightly, then said the magic words,

"Luna Sphere Kitty Magic! Make a gift for Serena!"

and in a flash, Luna-P had made a single rose made of gold, with a pink ribbon tied around it. She placed it on Serena's bed when she and Amy returned to the room, then left to tell the others the good news.

"Five days! That's terrific!" Lita said when Amy and Rini told them about what Darien said. "We've got to work fast if we want to get this surprise party planned." Lauren turned to the others. "Well what are we waiting for? Let's get started!" she exclaimed.

They all got to work. Amy and Rini set to work on making party hats for everyone, making a special one for Serena out of stick-on jewels, silver glitter and sequins. Michelle and Kristine went out to the party shop and got pink streamers and pink and purple balloons. Lita and her crew got cracking on making goodies for the party-cookies, tarts, muffins and all sorts of pastries. As for Sandra's team, she collected money from everybody so they could get one big present from all of them. "This party is going to go down in history as one of the best welcome-home parties ever!" exclaimed Mina happily.

And so, five days later, Serena was all better and was discharged from the hospital. Darien walked alongside her back to her cousins' house while Raye carried the many bouquets of flowers that she received. Inside the house, everything was ready for the big party. Wearing the party hats that Amy and Rini had made, Mina kept a lookout. "They're coming, everyone! Hide!" she hissed, and everyone jumped into a hiding place as Mina threw the light switch, bathing the living room in darkness. Serena was the first to enter the house. "Where is everyone?" she asked, "who turned out the lights?" Just then, Mina hit the switch and everyone jumped up from their hiding place.

"SURPRISE!!!" they cried, giving Serena a fright. She looked around the room, seeing bright balloons and streamers, with the centerpiece being a large banner which read WELCOME HOME, SERENA! Rini stepped forward and put the tiara she had made with Amy's help on Serena's head. Seeing the huge chocolate cake in the middle of the dining room table, she made a mad dash for it as the others gathered around and laughed. The table was loaded with cupcakes, tarts, cookies and other goodies that the kitchen crew, under the guidance of Lita, had made. Then Serena noticed a brightly wrapped package near a plate of cookies. "It's a present from all of us," said Michelle. "Go ahead. Open it."

Putting the box on the floor, Serena tore off the paper and opened the box that was inside. "It's something that will remind you of Toronto," Randi added. Serena was holding up a Toronto Maple Leafs hockey sweater, brightly colored in blue and white. On the back, she saw her name in blue letters and the number 1 below it. "It's because you're our number 1 best friend," said Mina. At the very bottom of the box was a framed photograph with the faces of all of Serena's friends to add to her collection. "Thank you so much," said Serena happily to her cousins and friends. "Now let's party!" Randi put a CD on the stereo, Lita cut the chocolate cake, and Serena passionately kissed Darien for all it was worth. It was truly a Canadian adventure to remember.

A week later, when Serena and the others returned to Jyuban, Serena invited the others to her house for tea, despite the jet lag they were all suffering from. When they stepped into the house, it was dark inside. "Maybe your parents went out and took Sammy with them," said Sandra. A light came on, sand Serena was surprised again. Her parents, Sammy, well-wishers and classmates from Crossroads Junior High, including Melvin, Molly and even Miss Haruna had gathered in the house to welcome Serena back to Tokyo and to wish her well after recovering from her accident. Luna bounded forward and immediately rested herself on Serena's shoulder. "Welcome home, Serena," Luna said as she rubbed her head against Serena's cheek and purred happily. Molly pushed her friend forward towards another huge chocolate cake in the center of the room while her mother cut it, Rini and the others standing behind her. Everybody, except Serena, got a big slice of cake. "Hey! Where's my piece?" Serena inquired, looking at the empty platter. Just then, her friends held up a huge slice with a lot of icing, and said in unison, "Here you go, Meatball Head!" They held it in front of her as Serena laughed. They're the best friends I could ever have, she thought to herself, and I love them all.

The End

Author's Notes

The following includes some names I made up for the Outer Senshi:

Sandra=Meiou Setsuna (Sailor Pluto)
Alicia=Ten'ou Haruka (Sailor Uranus)
Michelle=Kaioh Michiru (Sailor Neptune)
Lauren=Tomoe Hotaru (Sailor Saturn)

I decided to use the regular English attacks for the Inner Scouts and the Japanese attacks for the Outer Scouts and Sailor Chibimoon, but I put all transformations into North American terms, like using the Moon Prism transformation for both Serena and Rini. It just looks cooler that way.

To complete the story of Serena getting her coma, she suffered the mild concussion when the head youma threw into the wall of the warehouse, which he threw her into head first. The gash on her forehead was the result of when he attacked her with the powerful lightning spell. As he activated the spell, a dagger-like weapon slashed her in several places, including her forehead. That is why her clothes got ripped in several places.
