Past Reflections and Present Emotions IV

Galexia looked at all the starseeds from all the planets and galaxies she had been to. Had terrorized. Had killed. Had destroyed. She looked at her thousands of starseeds and felt.... what? Felt someone who was confused and saddened and burdened with duty and sacrifice. Sacrifice? Oh yes! She knew sacrifice alright. She had given up something very precious to save this puny universe.
Galexia immersed herself in her thoughts, thinking of the sacrifice she made. Her golden and reddish hair curled around her face and swept down past the floor, billowing out. Her eyes felt tearing anguish for a moment. But only a moment.
Then suddenly her hair turned short and her eyes shone with an evil light. She laughed out loud. Menacing. Wicked. Foreboding. The corner of her lips turned up in a half smile, almost a baring of teeth.
Yes, she would get all the starseeds from this galaxy. Probably destroying the planet in the process, but what did that matter?
Galexia felt a twinge of regret and long hair spilled to the ground for a moment, before mysteriously vanishing again. Why should _she_, the Golden Senshi, the Powerful Senshi, the Legendary Senshi, feel regret?! Hmpf! Never! But that nagging feeling of dread didn't leave her, infuriating Galexia!
"Tin Nyanko!" She shouted. "Hai?" Tin Nyanko said, appearing and bowing before her majestic ruler. "Did you find a starseed yet?!" Galexia asked through gritted teeth, expecting the answer to be no. She raised her bracelets if that was the case. If Nyanko did say no, she would die. Hell, even if she did find one, that just prolonged her worthless life for a little while. A very little while.
"Hai, Galexia-sama." 'Shimatta!' Galexia cursed inwardly. She wanted to kill Nyanko already - her whiny voice was really testing Galexia's patience to an end. "Well then what are you standing here for? Get me that starseed!!!!!!!" Galexia thundered.
Nyanko shied away, terrified. "H-hai. Right away." she said before vanishing.
Tin Nyanko sighed inwardly with relief. She wasn't dead yet. '...and maybe if I get Galexia-sama that starseed maybe she won't kill me. Yeah! I'd be the only animate to bring in a starseed, so Galexia-sama will have to let me live!' Nyanko plastered a smile on her face. 'If I get that seed, I'll get to live' The smile widened. 'I'll get it at all costs!'
Usagi looked at both of her sides during P.E. "Do you have to stick so close to me?" she grumbled to Mako and Minako. "Hai!" they whispered back in unison. Usagi knew Tin Nyanko was after her starseed and that she would have to be extra careful, but this - this was ridiculous! Usagi sighed. It was going to be a long day.
Usagi trudged through school with Mako, Ami, and Minako. Mako and Ami were glad the day was over. Usagi was thinking about Mamoru, but Minako thought she was thinking about the enemy. "Usagi-chan, I know you didn't want us to be your body guards and all, but you know we have to protect you from Galexia and Tin Nyanko since Mamoru isn't here to - umph!" "Minako!" hissed Makoto, elbowing her. Minako bit her lip. "Usagi-chan," she started, but didn't get to finish.
Usagi felt tears forming in her eyes at the thought of Mamo-chan. She turned towards them. "I want to be alone." Her voice trembled. "Please?" Usagi then ran away, tears gently caressing the floor as she left.
Minako, Ami, and Mako watched her go. "Gomen nasai Usagi-chan." murmured Minako. They then slowly walked to Fruits Crown Parlor, knowing that Rei was waiting for them - and Usagi.
"Minna...." Rei started. She looked around. "Usagi-chan? Usagi?!" She then faced them. "Where is Usagi?!" Rei demanded, fire gleaming in her eyes. "Usagi... um... She uh... got really sad that Mamoru wasn't here and wanted to be left alone..." Minako looked down. Rei jumped up. "Nani? Do you know how _dangerous_ that is?!" Rei rushed outside and to Juuban High School searching for Usagi along the way.
Seiya glanced around the room. He sighed. He knew he would have to leave here soon, very soon. Just when?! Whenever their Princess shows up... "Princess." Seiya mumbled, getting a picture of their beautiful red haired, red eyed princess. Seiya knew in his heart that loyalty wasn't the reason he felt such a crushing pain knowing that she was somewhere on earth and he just couldn't find her. Couldn't hold her... Seiya knew he loved their Princess. He loved her in both forms, ever since he was little and was taken from his home - a star with the name of Fighter. He then thought of Princess Kakyuu and her mother, Queen Kakyoku. The queen that raised him, well her, ever since she was very little. Seiya saw a shimmery red butterfly float in front of his eyes. Shimmery... red... "Princess." he murmured.
Seiya got a flashback of comforting her, protecting her. Then, suddenly, without any warning, she changed into Usagi.
Seiya fingered the red rose that was in his pocket silently. He felt shocked on the inside, but was just too weary to show it. Seiya sighed. "Princess..." he whispered again.
Rei rushed in, heaving and out of breath. "Seiya-kun!" Seiya looked up, startled. "Usagi... she...." Rei panted. "She may be in danger." Seiya's eyes widened. He then nodded and rushed out, knowing that she indeed _was_ in danger. That was why he saw the red butterfly and felt the presence of his princess.
Usagi leaned against the fence and sighed, A tear slipped down her cheek. The sky started lightly drizzling droplets of rain in sympathy. "Mamo-chan!" she cried out miserably.
"Tsukino Usagi-san! Sailor Moon!" someone yelled. Usagi glanced up sharply and met eyes with Tin Nyanko. "Anata no starseed!!!" Usagi backed up, or tried to since she was still against the fence. Nyanko brought up her bracelets and braced herself for the shock that the bracelets gave out. She smiled maliciously. 'Sailor Moon is cornered. There is no way out.' she thought. (As usual the villain is wrong. When will they ever learn?!) Nyanko could just feel triumph coursing through her veins. Her bracelets started to glow.
A rose made its was down towards earth and an amazing speed. It hit Nyanko as gravity pulled it towards the ground. Nyanko scowled and held her wrist. She looked up.
    So did Usagi.
Usagi felt a gasp escape her lips. "Tuxedo Kamen-sama!" she cried out seeing his cape flapping regally out behind him. Then the image faded to reveal reality. Seiya was standing up on top of the staircase doors, his red jacket swung haphazardly over his shoulder.
He looked stunning! In some strange sort of way Usagi was glad it was Seiya and not Mamoru. She shook her head, trying to rid herself of that crazy thought.
Nyanko looked up at Kou Seiya, scowled, and got ready to fire.
Seiya glanced down at her, his eyes smoldering with fury at the one trying to harm Usagi. He jumped up and yelled, "Fighter Star Power.... Make up!"
To Tin Nyanko's complete surprise and shock, Kou Seiya turned into Sailor Star Fighter. Now Star Fighter smiled maliciously.
Usagi took this time to henshin [transform]. Now the odds seemed a little more even. Sailor Moon took out her tier and started powering up to do her attack, "Silver Moon Crystal Power...." Nyanko saw what was happening and rushed to the side of the building. "Kiss!" The attack hit half of Nyanko, turning her costume from all black to half black half white. An interesting site indeed. Nyanko took one look at herself, whimpered, and fled to a waiting telephone booth.
Sailor Moon dropped onto her knees. She reverted back to Usagi as the rain started to pour harder. Her head dropped. Seiya kneeled beside her. "Usagi-chan..." Usagi felt tears come to her eyes and splash out. "When I saw that rose, I remembered him. I thought that I could be alright by myself. But I can't.... I can't stand it anymore! I want to... to... see Mamo-chan!" She felt a sob stuck in her throat. Seiya put his hand on Usagi's shoulder. "Odango..." he murmured. Usagi started crying. "Shh, Odango. It'll be ok. Everything will turn out alright." Seiya stopped. He knew everything wouldn't be alright. He knew Galexia wanted to attain all the starseeds and to accomplish that, she'll destroy this world. 'Just like she did to my world....' Seiya thought despairingly.
Usagi started crying harder and Seiya gently hugged her, quieting her. Comforting her. Usagi unconsciously reached out for him, and felt his arms wrap around her. Usagi then buried her head in his masculine chest, her crying slowing down to a low whimpering. Seiya held her tighter, promising himself that he wouldn't let anything harm her, no matter what the cost.
It was later in the week that it was announced that the Three Lights were having a final concert. They were going to break up, positively shocking all of Japan. All of the world. Differing opinions was publicly stated as the reason. But personally... The personal reasons were just too many.
Seiya looked behind the curtain and out into the wild crowd of people waiting to get a glimpse of him and his 'brothers'. He sighed and walked away. Seiya felt his stomach churning with turmoil. Something was going to happen. And soon. Very soon...
"Seiya, we're going to start in a few minutes." said Taiki, coming up to him. Seiya nodded despondently. "I know...."
Taiki looked at him. I mean really looked at him, for the first time that week. "Seiya." He said softly. "Daijou bu [are you ok]?" Seiya looked up at him. "I... I don't know. It's just that the Princess hasn't shown up yet and all we ever do is fight and snap at each other - especially me and Yaten - and I just... I just don't know anymore! I want to know if we're ever going to see the Princess again and if I'll ever be able to-" Seiya stopped mid sentence. 'And if I'll ever be able to hold her in my arms again and know that everything will turn out ok.' He finished silently.
Yaten came up to them and sighed. "It's starting." he murmured, then left to go grab a microphone before going out onto the stage. Seiya and Taiki grabbed a microphone and followed.
The concert started with a few words from them, to the special person out there, and then came the song they were famous for - Nagaraboshi he [Shooting Star]. Next up was Todokanu Omoi [My Friend's Love].
Minako had her eyes gently closed, listening to them sing. Her heart soared wenever she heard Yaten sing so beautifully. So elegantly. So lovingly. It was still such new feeling thinking that Yaten was hers. All hers. It was just so strange for Minako not to be chasing around other idols and trying to become one herself. 'I've changed.' she thought. Minako glanced around, looking at Usagi, Rei, Mako, and Ami beside her. She smiled softly. 'We've all changed. I just hope it's for the better...'
Usagi was staring at Seiya, a smile plastered on her face. She looked so happy and cheerful on the outside, but on the inside... On the inside Usagi was tormented with one thought coursing through her head - 'Seiya or Mamo-chan?!' Usagi put her hand to her head and sighed. Her thoughts were filled with turmoil. 'Who? Who does my heart love? Who do I love? Do I love the idol singer, Kou Seiya also known as Sailor Star Fighter, who saved me on numerous occasions or do I love my dearest Mamo-chan who I am destined to be with....'
Usagi blushed at the thought. "Mamo-chan..." she murmured, then got a flashback of her nightmare where Mamo-chan was.... Mamo-chan was... Usagi gulped in a breath of air. "Iie [no]!" she cried out, startling Rei. "Nani [what]?" Rei asked. Usagi shook her head... "It's nothing...." Rei glanced at her for a moment, before turning back to the concert. "Usagi..." she whispered.
Ami was gazing at her love - her Taiki. She couldn't help but be happy listening to his music, but there was a rock at the bottom of her stomach telling her something was going to happen. It intensified and Ami clutched her stomach. She saw Rei double over with her. Minako, Mako and Usagi looked worriedly at them. "Daijou bu [are you ok]?" she asked.
Just then there was a flash of light and a blast of a senshi bracelet. Tin Nyanko appeared scowling. She demanded that Usagi give up her starseed, holding out her hand. Then pulled it back mentioning that it was dangerous here. Usagi looked up confused. Tin Nyanko scowled again and her hand steadied. She demanded the starseed again.
Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune came to the scene. Everyone in the stadium scrambled away. They knew Sailor Senshi meant trouble.
"Sailor Moon, give me your starseed! Iie... That's dangerous.... No... I need the starseed for Galexia-sama. Iie, Sailor Moon would die then..."
Usagi watched all this with confused wonder. She saw Neptune and Uranus and she transformed, as did everyone else.
Tin Nyanko finally made a decision - she attacked Sailor Moon. Sailor Star Fighter blocked it. She was starting to attack again when Galexia appeared on stage. Galexia held out her hand and Tin Nyanko's bracelets flew in them. Nyanko screamed. "Iie! Galexia-sama! Galexia-samaaaa!!!"
Galexia then turned to the senshi. Her eyes narrowed and her bracelets glowed. "Huagh!" she cried out, blasting everyone. Galexia then blasted them again. Sailor Moon took out her tier but Galexia blasted it out of her hands. Sailor Moon gasped. Galexia blasted Sailor Moon again. "Sailor Moon!" cried out Star Fighter.
Sailor Moon was on the floor panting. "Iie... Fighting's no good..." she whispered out hoarsely. Galexia got ready to blast ESM again, but Chibi Chibi ran in front of her. "Chibi chibi!" she said determinedly and she raised her "incense burner" letting out a warm pink light.
Kakyuu [Fireball] Princess appeared. She held out her hands, blocking the attack. "Run! With your power, you cannot defeat Galexia! Hurry! Escape!" "No, Princess! We have to stay with you!" cried out Fighter, a tear of joy sliding down her cheek at seeing her Princess again. Kakyuu turned back to Fighter, her eyes dark. "Iie!" she said as Galexia blasted her again. She flinched. "Run! Leave! Now!!" Fighter took a step towards their Princess, fierce determination in her eyes. "Princess..." Kakyuu flinched again. "Onegai [please]! Please leave! Fighter please!!!" Desperation was heard in her voice. "Princess..."
Just then Fighter heard her scream echoing through out the stage. Galexia held Kakyuu's starseed in her hand. She laughed. Fighter glanced at Galexia, hatred written in every crevice of her face. Healer and Maker ran to her side. "Princess! Princeeessss!!!" Fighter fell to her knees. Her tears of joy turned bitter sweet, then to utmost rage.
A huge T.V. screen that used to be showing the Three Lights concert now showed Galexia making a statement. "The whole galaxy belongs to _me_. I won't allow people like you to live." Her lips twisted into a grimace. She continued talking to the world through the T.V. screen, insulting the people of Earth.
Healer glanced up at the screen, her mouth twisted with hate. "Just like what happened on our planet...." Fighter didn't even notice her. Only one thought was coursing through her head. "Princess...." she whispered.
Mercury was typing at a furious rate on her mini computer. "Ginga." She blurted out. Sailor Moon looked over at her, but Mars was the one to speak. "Nani [what]?" "Ginga Television." Mercury repeated.
Fighter got up. "Ginga Television." she whispered. Then turned to her teammates who nodded. They started walking away. "Fighter!" Sailor Moon called out. Fighter stopped, but didn't turn around. "Gomen nasai [I'm sorry]..." she murmured before catching up with Healer and Maker. "Seiya..."Usagi whispered out. Then said, "Ganbatte."
A black bolt of energy headed towards Sailor Moon. The senshi saw it and went to protect her. Fighter also started running. Healer started to hold her back, but then let go. Fighter ran up to join the bunch protecting Usagi. She braced for impact, but then heard words that changed everything.
"Silent Wall!" Saturn cried out striking with her Silence Glaive. Sailor Moon looked up and exclaimed happily, "Saturn! Pluto!"
Fighter watched Sailor Moon run up to them. She turned away and left.
The Starlights walked carefully towards Ginga Television Studio. Galexia sensed them and was awaiting their arrival. She decided to speed things up and opened the doors for the Starlights. They looked at each other and nodded again.
Fighter took in a quick breath and took the first step inside. Maker and Healer followed cautiously. Just then they were immersed in black energy. Healer cried out as they were transported to Galexia's dimension.
Galexia was patiently sitting on her throne. She smiled. Now to have some fun. Galexia got up and each step she took was filled with foreboding menace. She raised her bracelets as the Starlights cringed with anticipation. The room was filled with a bright light as screams were heard echoing throughout the battle grounds.
Usagi shuddered and rubbed her arms. Setsuna glanced at her. "The enemy has already taken over most of the galaxy." Setsuna said ominously. Usagi looked up in horror. "She's stronger than anyone we've faced." Hotaru murmured, looking up at the saddened Usagi.
Haruka couldn't take this anymore. She and Michiru left Rei's temple. Haruka hugged Michiru closer as she saw the outside world where everyone's starseeds were being taken. The screams repeating mercilessly in Haruka's mind. Michiru squeezed her hand, trying to comfort her at a time like this. Haruka smiled gratefully and returned the pressure.
Setsuna and Hotaru were waiting in an alleyway. Haruka and Michiru came up to them, Haruka's arm still wrapped protectively around Michiru. Setsuna glanced towards them, her tall frame rigid and still, her face stern. "We are coming too." she said to Haruka. "As one of the Outer Senshi..." started Hotaru. "We can't let the earth stay in danger!" finished Setsuna. Haruka met her unwavering gaze and nodded. "Among the four of us," started Michiru. "Even one," said Setsuna. "Has to live," chimed in Hotaru. "And beat Galexia!" Haruka finished, her lip twisting in a scowl. Setsuna nodded and started walking away. "Let's go save the planet!"
Usagi was pacing around the shrine. "We can't stay here." she murmured. Then looked up. "Minna [everyone], where's Haruka, Michiru, Setsuna, or Hotaru? Have they gone to fight without us?" Usagi looked towards Ami. "Ami-chan?" Ami mouth turned up a little in a small smile. "Already on it." she said typing away at her mini computer. "Ginga." Ami then blurted out. Usagi looked up, startled. "Iie..." she murmured. Chibi Chibi held her even tighter. "Chibi chibi," she said, frightened. Usagi looked at her, and smiled. "Don't worry." She then put Chibi Chibi down. "Minna, henshin yo [everyone transform]!" Everyone nodded.
    "Mercury Crystal Power Make up!"
    "Mars Crystal Power Make up!"
    "Jupiter Crystal Power Make up!"
    "Venus Crystal Power Make up!"
    "Moon Eternal... Make up!"
Sailor Moon looked at them, determination flaring in her eyes. "No matter what, we'll protect this planet!"
Sailor Moon walked up to Ginga Television Studio. She glanced at the Senshi who nodded. Sailor Moon turned back around and took a step forward. Just then a bird fluttered towards her. It crashed into some non-existent substance and it's body was surrounded with dark energy. It fell to the ground, singed and dead. Sailor Moon stared at it, her mouth agape. Ginga Television had a force field around it!
Galexia sensed the presence of the senshi. She smiled, and thought to herself, 'show time'. Galexia, with the flick of a wrist, had the televisions outside the studio turned on, aimed at the hurt Starlights. Her smile widened and her eyes darkened.
Sailor Moon saw the Starlights breathing hard with little droplets of blood running down their face. Just then the screen blanked out with white and nothing could be seen, but something _could_ be heard. It was the screams of the Starlights. "Fighter!" Usagi cried out, running towards the studio, and the force field. Mars and Jupiter held her back. Usagi's eyes darkened with grief. Her lip quivered and water formed in her eyes. She slid down in utter defeat.
Mars looked at Mercury for some hope, something to cheer Usagi up. But none was forthcoming. Mercury was shaking her head grimly, sorrow written all over her face. "Even if we get into the building, we can't get into the dimension Galexia is in." Sailor Moon heard this and burst into tears.
Chibi Chibi looked at ESM, feeling her grief. She smiled in that kawaii [cute] way she had. She turned into a sailor senshi - Sailor Chibi Chibi Moon. She then floated towards Sailor Moon and enveloped her, as well as the other senshi, in a pastel pink light. They disappeared from sight.
Galexia's eyes held triumph in them. The Starlights were badly injured, on the ground and gasping for air. She held up her bracelets again. The Starlights looked at her, then on another, silently saying goodbye. They closed their eyes waiting for the final blow.
Sailor Moon felt a warm feeling. She opened her eyes and looked around, shocked. Her eyes rested on one reassuring site - the Starlights. "Fighter..." she murmured.
Sailor Star Fighter thought she imagined Usagi saying Fighter, but it sounded so real. She wondered if she was already dead. She slowly opened her eyes, and didn't believe the sight in front of her. "Sailor Moon!" Healer and Maker's eyes flew open. If Sailor Moon was here, then the rest of the Inner Senshi had to be here too!
Healer felt a sigh of relief at seeing Sailor Venus, but that wasn't too long lasting when she remembered what Venus was here for. Galexia! Healer turned towards Galexia.
She was scowling at this turn of event. But then her scowl lightened. 'Well, now I don't need to go search for the rest of the starseeds - they're all here.' Her eyes gleamed with a evil light.
Maker was staring woefully at Mercury. "Iie... [no]" she murmured. "Iie, Ami-chan.... You shouldn't have come."
Mercury's head turned around and met Maker's steady gaze. Her lips turned up in a grim smile. "Taiki-chan." She started to take a step towards Maker when Galexia let out a blast of light, injuring Mercury.
"Star Gentle Uterus!" boomed across the room. Galexia turned and swatted away the attack. She was tiring of those meddling Starlights. She's battled them before and they were nothing but cowards. Cowards who ran away. Cowards who left their planet! She raised her bracelets, eyes narrowed.
"Stop!!! Galexia, don't do this anymore. Get off our planet..." Sailor Moon stepped forward, her hands raised in sympathy.
Galexia looked at her and smiled. Her bracelets flashed and a bright light flew towards the Starlights. The light split it half. Then into thirds. Another one split. Now there were four bursts of light. Three heading for the Starlights. One heading for Sailor Moon.
"Iie!" Sailor Moon ran towards Fighter who shoved her away. Jupiter then shoved Fighter away, but another light came flashing towards them. Towards Usagi. Mars jumped in front of Usagi. Two were left. Their general direction - Healer and Maker. Maker saw them coming and closed her eyes resignedly. Healer did the same. They didn't see two people come between them and the light.
The screams echoed through out the room. Four senshi were lifted off the ground and covered in a horrid yellow light. Four senshi, the four Inner Senshi.
Healer's eyes snapped open when she heard that scream. It sounded too real, too familiar, to be a dream, or even death. Standing painfully in front of her was Venus, who then tumbled into Healer's arms as the light vanished and as a starseed appeared in Galexia's hand. Venus had a transparent luminosity to her that frightened Healer, but looked all to familiar by now.
"Minako-chan!" moaned Healer. "Iie.... Iie, Minako-chan!" Healer embraced her tightly as the tears started to fall. One by one. Tears for Minako-chan. Drip. For her Princess. Drip. For all who have sacrificed their lives to protect someone.
"Yaten." Minako's voice came out as light as a whisper. "Yaten, I love you and I always will." She laughed quietly, painfully. "We're so alike." Her face then lost it's gentle smile as her eyes faced an unseen light. "I'm just sorry..." She struggled to be heard, "I'm just sorry that we never realized what we felt for each other until it was too late..." Healer hugged her harder. "Minako-chan, I... I love you too!"
Minako smiled gently. Her fingers lightly caressed Healer's face. Healer grasped her hand. She held on tight, not wanted to let go, but Minako was getting lighter. Lighter. She felt like she weighed nothing, like she was as light as the air.
Healer's fingers then met her own palm. Her fist clenched as she looked up. Looked at what Minako had become. Bubbles. Light, airy, beautiful bubbles floating gently to oblivion. So calm. So serene. The exact opposite of what Healer felt. "IIE [no]!!!!" Healer was immersed in memory. 'Not again... I'm losing everyone again! I lost my family, my Princess, and now my love!' Her eyes clenched shut in anguish. "IIE!!!"
Slowly Mercury opened her eyes. She took in a gasping breath, hearing herself wheeze a little. She was glad the screaming was over. That was bad; it hurt her, made her flinch from the sheer volume of it. Now nothing really hurt. Nothing at all... She felt as if her body was filled with warm light, but nothing hurt. Not anymore. It was as if she were floating, but how? Everything was warm and bright, and somehow oddly peaceful. Like... like she didn't have a body at all. 'Oh... what a peculiar feeling.'
         "Mercury... Oh, Ami-chan!"
Mercury turned her head towards the voice, increasing the lingering floating feeling inside her. Her clear blue eyes met a pair of mournful deep purple.
'It was worth it! I didn't want to die, but I'd do everything all over again if I had to.' Ami thought remorsefully to herself. She then whispered out, "Taiki-chan, I... I didn't mean for things to turn out like this." She smiled slightly, unwaveringly.
Maker's eyes swam with water. "I know, Ami-chan. I know." Maker tried to return the smile, but it wobbled a bit.
Ami laughed slightly. "I'm... I'm glad we met. No matter what happened. You made me see what true love is..." She shook her head slightly. "No matter what, remember that..." Her voice started fade into a whisper. "Taiki..." she murmured. Maker leaded in forward. "I love you with all my heart!"
Maker's heart beat faster at those words. The words they now knew were true. Her eyes were filled with such longing at what could have been... Then darkened at the dreams they shared smashed away like this. Maker kissed Ami lightly on her cheek. "I love you too Ami-chan. No matter what, we'll be together again."
Ami didn't seem to hear Maker. Her eyes swung upward, widening. Maker grasped her hand so tightly that it turned white, but Ami didn't seem to notice. Her eyes were still upward, up staring at all the stars. Her head then fell back against Maker's lap, almost going through it. She sighed gently, then felt an even stranger feeling. A feeling like she was being separated, but Ami didn't mind that really. She stared at the white light coming to embrace her. Ami eyes gently closed, for what could be the very last time. She made amends. She was at peace. For the moment....
Star Maker's lip quivered. "We'll be together again... Soon..." she whispered to the remains of Sailor Mercury, her love.
         "Mars! Mars!!! Iie, Rei-chan...."
Rei looked up at her eyes. Her beautiful anguished eyes. Eyes that were a doorway to her soul. A gentle soul, but a soul that was hard as steel when it came to anyone hurting her friends. But words, words really couldn't describe what Tsukino Usagi, Moon Princess, looked like at that moment. Words wouldn't even come close, wouldn't nick the surface, of what Mars felt, what she saw. 'I know how Mamoru can love you. It was hard to give him up, but it was worth it. He really loves you...' Rei thought resignedly.
"Don't leave me alone, Rei-chan!" Usagi sobbed out. "Rei-chan!!!"
"Don't be a crybaby. You have to be strong!" Rei said harshly, but almost gently in a way. For Usagi's own good. To make her strong, like Rei tried to do all along, but only succeeded in making her own heart vulnerable for Usagi. Ironic, the exact opposite of what Rei wanted, but didn't she want this? A true and loyal friend...
"But... but you promised that we would be together until the end!"
'It is the end for me...' thought Rei. 'but I have to be strong... for Usagi." "Baka!" She then gasped as a tremor of pain shocked her. "You have Mamoru!"
Usagi sobbed harder. Then looked up at the bubbles Rei had just become. One floated slower than the rest. Usagi hesitantly reached out to it. It flew up to her gloved finger and split in two. "Rei-chan!" she cried out mournfully.
Fighter glanced over at the tearful Sailor Moon. He then glanced up at the remains, the bubbles, of Jupiter, remembering her last words. "Please, in our place, protect Usagi and this world." Fighter had agreed wholeheartedly to this cause. But, everything was disappearing. Even Jupiter. Jupiter, who was a strong senshi, had died. Fighter felt a quiet respect for her, for Jupiter. She wanted to go out like Jupiter, go out valiantly, believing in a cause, in a single person, so strongly that she gave her life for it. She wanted to die saving Usagi. Fighter then slowly, painfully, got up and stood next to Sailor Moon.
Usagi didn't even notice Fighter. She was focused on one thing.
"IIE [no]!" She cried out. "IIE! Give them back! GIVE THEM BACK!!!!" She fell on her knees in front of Galexia. "Iieeeeeeeeeeee..." she sobbed out brokenly, her hands covering her tear stricken face.
Galexia looked down at what was supposed to be the most powerful senshi, other than herself, of course. And felt disgust. Vile formed at her throat looking at that pitiful thing lumped at Galexia's feet. But she looked so sad and... IIE! Galexia was feeling that horrid helpless feeling again. She blasted Sailor Moon and the feeling went away. She smiled scornfully.
Sailor Moon flew backwards into Fighter. Fighter caught her and made sure she was safely standing, before falling back on her knees from the sheer pain she felt streaking through her body, coming in waves.
Galexia stood up, wanting to make Sailor Moon hurt even more. Like stabbing someone in the back, and then twisting the knife to make her bleed, make her hurt, even more then before. With a wave of her hands she made all the starseeds she's collected so far, appear, covering the room in an unearthly white light. She scanned through them and her eyes stopped at one.
Usagi turned towards where Galexia was looking and felt a ghostly presence. A presence that felt strangely familiar. It shined with a golden glow, a familiar glow. A gasp caught in Usagi's throat as she stared at the seed. It shimmered again, and Usagi's eyes widened with shock. "Iie..." she murmured out. "Iie...!" Galexia smiled. The starseed floated into her open palms. "This," she said, "Is the starseed for this planet, for the Earth."
Usagi's lip trembled. "Iie...!" She swallowed as more tears started to fall. 'My nightmare. It... it was right!' Usagi trembled, shacking violently. 'If that was Mamo-chan's starseed, then Mamo-chan is... Mamo-chan is...' "Mamo-chan!" Usagi whimpered out painfully, her head touching the floor as she tried to express her deepest sorrows, deepest anguish.
Fighter, who was moving to her, stopped dead in her tracks at that one word. She knew immediately what happened. "Usagi-chan..."
Galexia stood up with the starseed still in her hand. She stared at it, almost feeling a deep satisfaction, but not quite.
         "Doshite [why]? Doshite?!"
Galexia cocked her head to the side. "Why?" She chuckled. "The guy who had this starseed was asking the same thing." She laughed out loud. The starseed glittered violently, taking Usagi back. Showing her how it happened.
Mamoru was looking at a picture of himself and Usagi. He smiled wistfully at how happy Usagi seemed. "Usako." The words appeared on his lips. He felt a tightening in his throat to think of what he had to leave behind and what Usagi must be feeling. He remember how she had a smile on her face to see him off, a beautiful smile. And yet, there were tears silently slipping down her cheeks, showing her true emotions. Mamoru bowed his head. Then snapped it up again as she saw a bright yellow light immerse the plane.
Galexia was laughing. The glow slowly faded as she saw someone dressed up in a ridiculous tuxedo and a white ball mask to match. 'Oh, how amusing these stupid humans are.' She turned to face him, smile still covering her face. He jumped up and extended his cane, planning to attack her. Well, that's what Mamoru wanted anyway, but things didn't happen like that. Galexia raised her hands and a sword appeared. It rushed at Mamoru and flipped away his cane, injuring him in the process. Galexia smiled. She shoved it in further, making Mamoru gasp from the pain.
Mamoru was on the wing of the plane, breathing hard, knowing he was beaten. His advisory looking calm and composed and inexplicably evil. He started to speak, to make sure the hope of the planet will live on with the senshi. "They are here. They are the senshi that protect the peace of everyone. They will defeat you!"
The words brought forth a sly smile from Galexia. She glared at him for one last moment, her bracelets gleaming and then...
Up floated tiny little bubbles, as one word was heard on the wind. "Usako..."
Usagi watching this with growing anguish building up in her heart. She couldn't take any more of this painful agony. Something started to build up inside of her. A flame. A flame of determination. 'I _will_ bring them back! No matter what the cost!' She stood up and looked at Galexia. Galexia just smiled and blasted her. She kept blasting, not letting up, not giving Usagi a chance to retaliate, when she was firing her last shot. The winning shot, to finish them off. She fired and...
         And... they vanished!
Galexia stepped off her throne, looking around wildly. She didn't understand the light that caused the senshi to escape.
Sailor Moon slowly opened her eyes and looked around. She recognized this place - it was Ginga Television Studio. Sailor Moon saw Sailor Pluto and Saturn. Their faces told her that the Inner Senshi were indeed still gone.
"It wasn't a dream. Mamo-chan and the others are still gone." She sniffled out. Fighter looked towards her sadly, but remained siting down next to Maker and Healer.
"The light of hope..." Healer choked out. "...is gone." Healer then finished silently. 'And Minako-chan too! My hope.'
Sailor Moon bowed her head down, her hands wrapped protectively around herself. A tear dripped slowly down to the floor. Drip. Another. Drip.
Sailor Pluto came up to Usagi. She knelt down and gently laid the sleeping Sailor Chibi Chibi Moon into Usagi's arms. "We're going now. Going to protect the future." She stood up and looked towards Uranus and Neptune. They nodded grimly. Pluto then turned to Saturn. Saturn was looking at Sailor Star Fighter. She smiled gently. "Do you like Sailor Moon?" Star Fighter looked up. Her head swung towards Sailor Moon, who was looking at Fighter with wide tearful eyes. Star Fighter's heart thumped painfully loud in her chest. "Hai." She answered. Saturn's smile widened a bit. That's good... We have the same hope. Please, believe in our Princess." Saturn gave another smile and ran out after Pluto, Uranus, and Neptune.
Fighter glanced over at Sailor Moon. She got up, aching all over. Fighter took one dizzying step after another until she was in front of Sailor Moon. She gave a gasp as waves of agony washed over her and Star Fighter fell to her knees.
"Fighter!" Usagi cried, reaching out for her. Fighter's hand reached out and her hand met Sailor Moon's. She squeezed it gently, reassuringly. Then got up and looked towards Maker and Healer. She started to walk out the door. They followed her, thinking of the sacrifices made by their friends and lovers, the Earth Senshi.
Usagi watched them for a few moments, before getting up. She went to Fighter's side.
Galexia smiled evilly. "Hmph! Even if you all attack me together, you can't hurt me."
Saturn stepped up, clutching her Glaive. "Then I will kill you, even if my life is the forfeit."
Galexia laughed loudly, her voice echoing throughout the room. She smirked at Saturn. "Who do you think revived you? Hmm? Who?" She laughed again. "I revived Neherenia, so that Sailor Saturn would come back. I want all the starseeds, including Saturn's, so I had to resurrect her for that to happen." Galexia laughed again, a smirk covering her face.
"Nani [what]?!" Saturn cried out in shock, her eyes widening.
Galexia laughed again. She raised her bracelets. The room glowed bright gold as screams were heard. Then, the glow faded. Like a light switch turned off.
Saturn was down on the floor with her Glaive in pieces while Pluto stood above her, taking the blows one by one, even though her Time Staff shattered long ago.
"Pluto!" Saturn cried, rushing up to her fallen comrade.
Uranus, though hit from the blast, was not down yet. "World...." she started, a mad gleam in her eye that made even Neptune flinch. "Shaking!"
With a flick of her wrist, Galexia tossed it straight back at Uranus, catching her head on. Shoving her backwards. "Uranus!" Neptune yelled, rushing to her side.
Galexia stood up on her throne, looking quite regal and majestic, but also evil. She cocked her head. "I never met any senshi like you before. No matter what, you will die, but there is still a way to save yourselves for a while." Light flashed in her hand and floating above her appeared 2 bracelets. One red. One green. "If you wear these bracelets that contain a portion of my power, you can live even without your starseed."
Saturn grimaced. "Never!" She hollered out. "Working for you is a fate even worse than death!" Pluto nodded grimly. "I will never work for the likes of you. I am a sworn protector of the Royal Court of Queen Serenity and I shall carry that bond within my heart even after the moment my heart stops beating."
"Aww.... how sweet!" Galexia said, her smile turning bitter. She looked towards Uranus and Neptune. "Well, since they won't cooperate I might as well use you." Her hand flickered towards Uranus and Neptune.
Neptune looked up. "Nani [what]?!" Galexia turned towards her. "Well, you two seem the most aggressive of the whole lot. The most ruthless." Galexia nodded, pleased at her decision, remembering a glimpse of them when they were looking for the heart crystals back when Sailor Moon wasn't even in her Super Sailor Moon fuku.
Uranus cocked an eyebrow. "And do we get a choice in this matter?"
"Iie [no]." Galexia said pleasantly. She lifted her bracelets and....
Uranus's crisp blue eyes faded into an unnerving shade of gray. Neptune's sea green eyes faded into a muddy olive green.
Pluto and Saturn gasped. "Uranus!" Saturn yelled. "Neptune!" Pluto clenched her fist, turning her tan skin a horrid shade of white.
Uranus turned towards Saturn. Her face was deathly calm, as was the room around her. Not a sound could be heard. Saturn bit her lip, hoping Uranus was still somewhere inside that lifeless shell that Galexia now owned. She took a step towards Saturn. Pluto took a whoosh of breath in. Neptune turned towards Pluto, her eyes revealing none of the emotion that she was a minute ago. Like one moment there was a stormy ocean brewing in her eyes. The next, a tranquil and detached stillness of the sea.
As if an unheard start was heard, they both rushed up and slammed their fists into Pluto and Saturn. Saturn's eyes widened with tears. She blinked them back. "Haruka- papa...." escaped from her lips before she could painfully clamp them shut again.
Pluto lowered her head. It felt too real. The Neptune she once knew, was gone. Now, standing in her place was the empty and soulless minion of Galexia. But Pluto held her promise, her duty, deep within her heart and that promise included never harming another senshi of the court of Queen Serenity. She raised her head again, resolve found within her eyes. She glanced towards Saturn, then loosely closed her eyes. Saturn stared at her for a moment, before doing the same thing. They weren't giving up, but obeying Queen Serenity and the rules and burdens set upon their shoulders when they became one of the legendary bishoujo senshi. One of the defenders of the galaxy. One of the most powerful forces to ever be reckoned with!
Light engulfed them as their starseeds appeared before Galexia's cupped palm and then vanishing again.
"Pluto! Saturn!" The voice made Pluto turn around. Weak as she was, she still knew that voice. The voice with purity, truth, and sincerity ringing from each and every word she said. "Eternal Sailor Moon."
Sailor Moon ran up to her and Saturn, her face tearing with tormenting grief. Pluto reached forward, smiling soothingly. "It's all right." she whispered. "Pluto..." Sailor Moon whispered.
Saturn turned towards Sailor Moon, her eyes wide and caring. "Onegai [please]....don't ever forget your trusting heart."
Sailor Moon burst into tears as Pluto and Saturn vanished in the form of tiny bubbles softly drifting heavenward.
"Sailor Moon!" a voice boomed out. A familiar voice. A voice she trusted. Sailor Moon stood rigid, hoping it was her imagination. She slowly turned around and blinked a few times, thinking that it was some cosmic joke. Or a trick.
Standing before her was Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune... but they were different. They were wearing Galexia's bracelets! Sailor Moon felt water form in her eyes at the loss of her friends. She shook it away fiercely. Uranus and Neptune were always ruthless and worked on their own. They couldn't have turned on her. It's has got to be some sort of trick!
'Yeah, that's got to be it. It's a trick.' she thought wildly. She rushed up to Haruka and held out her hand. "It's a trick right." Usagi said, her eyes wider than saucers and filled with trust for one of her dearest friends.
Sailor Uranus scowled and slapped her hand away. Her eyes narrowed. A corner of her mouth lifted in a menacing and unnerving half smile. She then slapped Sailor Moon, making her tumble into a heap on the floor.
Sailor Moon fell down, but couldn't get up. It was just too painful. Memories flooded her head. Tears squeezed out of her eyes. She shut them and covered her face, missing what Sailor Star Fighter did next, which was to land a punch right into Uranus's stomach.
Uranus coughed, but returned the favor. They then fell into a reckless dance, dodging each and ever blow until Uranus got one more punch in. "You can do it if you try." she whispered. A yellow light then filled the room. The source of that light - Sailor Uranus who's hand was downward from finishing a World Shaking. One look at Neptune showed that she just finished a Deep Submerge.
The Starlights and Sailor Moon were thrown backwards from the sheer force of the attack aimed right at them.
Galexia started laughing. Her eyes flickered unmercifully over Sailor Moon. Her mouth curved up in a half smile as her eyes closed partially. Giving her a menacing but almost dreamy look. She cocked her head to the side. "Have you given up hope yet? In the end they'll all turn against you and you'll be all alone." Galexia shut her mouth abruptly. 'Alone... Alone, like me!' She snarled. "Sailor Uranus! Neptune! Take Sailor Moon's starseed!!!!" Galexia howled out. "Now!!!!"
Uranus and Neptune slowly turned to Sailor Moon. Both their hands raised, revealing Galexia's sailor bracelets. Their eyes still cold and indifferent to the situation.
Just then Uranus heard the wind and felt it blow on her face. The wind... wind... It felt so familiar and memories flooded into her head. She remembered who she was. She was Sailor Uranus who could fly as fast as the wind! Her eyes which were hazy turned lighter and back into her crisp blue color.
Neptune smelled the sea and the wind rushing towards her face. Sea... wind.... Her Haruka... Haruka... She shook her head, clearing up the cobwebs of memory. Her eyes, which were trance-like cleared up and her beautiful aquamarine blue eyes shone through. Those same pair of eyes met with another pair of blue eyes. Eyes she had admired on many occasions. Eyes she saw a mystical and stubborn soul lighting up each time her lover looked at her in such the way she did now. Neptune felt a message in those eyes and without words they were communicating. It felt like longer, but was only a split second before they both turned away from ESM and faced Galexia square on. The gems on their bracelets flashed and let of its power, heading straight for Galexia.
A loud scream was heard and it seemed as if a starseed was going to appear out of Galexia's chest. But then the screaming stopped and the brightness winked out. Galexia stood there, smiling more evilly than before.
"Iie [no]! It just _can't_ be! The starseed didn't appear." Neptune cried out desperately.
"It should have been a direct hit!" Uranus said, frustrated and grim. She knew the score. She knew what would come to Neptune and her now.
Galexia looked at them with a hooded gaze, with a look almost of respect. "I never expected that there would be someone who wouldn't be controlled by my bracelets." She stopped, and said slowly, almost in awe, but not quite, "It's the first time I ever met senshi like you."
One look at Uranus's face and Usagi knew what would happen to the last of her senshi.
Galexia slowly lifted up her arms, the awe-inspired look completely erased out of her eyes, like it was never there to begin with.
Sailor Neptune felt queezy and a sudden wind came and had her rushing to the ground with a thud. She looked over at the fallen Haruka.
"Doshite [why]? Doshite?!!!" Sailor Moon wailed out.
Uranus looked towards her, but barely. "This is our way..."
Sailor Moon burst out sobbing. "Why didn't you tell me?! I thought you were the enemy and I couldn't believe in you anymore." She shook her head and tears splashed to the floor. Fighter kneeled down at her side and locked her fingers with Sailor Moon, calming her down a little.
Uranus looked at Sailor Star Fighter. Someone she thought was an enemy for a long time, but turned out to be a friend. Maybe the only hope Sailor Moon would have left. "Fighter." She whispered out. "You have to protect Sailor Moon. You're the only one that can now..."
Fighter glanced up and an unspoken communication flashed between them. One of trust. Haruka was actually trusting Seiya to protect Usagi. There was no one else to protect her, but that wasn't the point. Haruka had a slight change of heart and her opinion of Seiya changed. The Sailor Starlights had risen in her eyes.
Then one word stopped her train of thought.
         "Haruka..."
She turned and faced the voice. "Michiru."
         "Haruka..."
         "Nani [what]?"
         "I... want to touch you."
Haruka started to reach for Michiru, who was on another building near by.
Michiru rolled over and turned towards Haruka. She reached out her hand. Everything seemed out of proportion and muddy. She blinked. "Haruka..." She reached out her arm further, almost reaching Haruka's fingertips. She saw Haruka try to move up and stretch her arm out even more. Just them Michiru's fingers touched Haruka's. She sighed pleasantly. "I can see the light."
"It's warm, Michiru..." Haruka whispered. Her eyelids were growing heavy. She blinked a few times, which worsened the feeling. Everything she saw looked misty with a warm glow. But Haruka was tired. So tired... She squeezed Michiru's fingers one more time. Then her eyelids slowly closed. Haruka felt warmth enveloping her. She felt light and weightless. Like she could fly. Suddenly she felt like she was actually was flying, or the sky was rushing down to meet her. In reality, Haruka knew what was happening. She was forming into tiny little bubbles that are floating into the night sky. Haruka heard a sob come from Sailor Moon and then she couldn't hear anything. Or see anything. Or feel. She slowly felt her brain fall into unconsciousness.
"Iie.." Sailor Moon whispered out. Tears streamed down her face. She covered them with her hands and sunk to the floor. She started sobbing almost hysterically.
Sailor Star Fighter pulled Sailor Moon into a warm embrace. Usagi snuggled closer to Fighter as her sobbing lessened. She leaned her head on Fighter shoulder for a peaceful moment. Then took it off and faced Fighter squarely on. Her eyes gazed into Fighter's. They were wide with anguish at the terrible loss of her friends. At the loss of all the senshi. There was no one from Earth she could fall back onto. She had to rely on herself, a frightening thought. Meaning Princess Serenity will soon take over and Tsukino Usagi will be lost somewhere amidst this muddling time. Or Serenity will battle and will die... Die in Usagi's body. Usagi will then be gone. Forever. She knew that would happen anyway. That the time was coming soon. She knew that after she fought Galexia and if she won, she will have peace... For a little while. Then she will vanish. This time forever. It will be irreplaceable. Princess Serenity will take over and fulfill her destiny and become Neo-Queen Serenity. Usagi will be lost, which was the most frightening thought of all to Usagi, but she knew she must bear this. To save the future. But was the future worth saving?
"Maybe..." Usagi swallowed harshly. "Maybe... I should give up..."
Star Fighter's eyes widened and her body became rigid. She shook her head wildly. "Do you know why Neptune and Uranus did that? Was it because it was their way of fighting? No! It was because they all believe in you! You are their light of hope!" She stopped and her voice became lower, almost a whisper. "You're a mysterious person, sometimes like you're two different people. Sometimes even three... I though that I would never be able to fight with you. But now I am fighting with you. Beside you. When I'm with you, I feel like I want to believe in people. Believe in _you_."
Another tear fell down and landed on Fighter's shoulder. Usagi shook her head warily. "So?" She paused. "Everyone is disappearing in front of me. Doshite [why]?" Her head fell back against Fighter's shoulder. Fighter pulled her back close again.
Star Maker stepped forward. "If there _is_ a time when they disappear, _that_ would be when you give up. I haven't given up yet. I believe in Ami and you."
"They all believe that you won't _ever_ give up. That's why they put all their hope in _you_." Healer said.
Fighter pulled Usagi away from her shoulder and stared her in the eye. "You want to give into Galexia? It'll be easy. So very easy..."
Usagi's lip quivered. She turned towards Healer and Maker. "Iie...." Fighter smiled and pulled her closer. "I knew you would say that. I believe in you." Maker nodded. "Me too!" Healer watched her. At how they said those words, it was like she grew. Like she was getting her hope back. "It seems that I do too." Healer said. Usagi's eyes swung toward her. Filled with such trust. "Healer... Maker... Fighter... We're... friends, right?" Her eyes grew wider as she bit her lip in anticipation of the answer.
"Of course!" They replied in unison. She closed her eyes. "Arigato gozaimasu [thank you]." She glanced over at where a building was crumbling over from Galexia. She was shooting out random beams trying to find the Senshi. Sailor Moon stood up and walked determinedly towards Galexia. The Starlights followed her. Usagi could be the light of hope...
When Usagi spotted Galexia, she yelled out to her, "We won't ever give up!"
"Sailor Moon could be the light of hope..."
Galexia's head snapped up. "The light of hope..." She remembered the Sailor Wars. Galexia then laughed. "That _legendary_ Sailor Senshi is me! I'm the strongest Sailor Senshi in the galaxy, the legendary Sailor Senshi, Galexia!"
Sailor Moon gasped. Chibi Chibi Moon hugged Sailor Moon's leg in terror.
Galexia paused and her face softened in memory. Her voice took on a haunted tone. Her face wrinkled with sadness. "The strongest Sailor Senshi had to seal chaos inside herself. That was the only way... Peace returned to the galaxy, but there was nobody she could rely on. She had to reconstruct the galaxy herself." Galexia paused, her face far away in thought. "Then she gathered the starseeds in the galaxy and became power!" Her voice became louder and boomed across the city. "Yes! I'm the legendary Sailor Senshi!"
The Starlights stopped as their whole frames went rigid with shock and terror. She... She was the legendary Sailor Senshi!?
Galexia's face went limp, as if she were in a trance. "The strongest Sailor Senshi had to seal chaos inside herself, for that was the only way. The only way to save everyone and everything... Peace returned to the galaxy, but... there was no body she could rely on. She had to reconstruct the galaxy all by herself."
A tremor seemed to fill into Galexia as she finished the last of her story. "Then she gathered the starseeds of the galaxy and became powerful! Yes," her voice boomed again. "I _am_ the legendary Sailor Senshi!"
Sailor Moon's eyes were filled with sorrow. She reached her hand out to Galexia almost as if she were in a dream. "Was that the only way? Why did you try to do everything yourself? If you get together with everyone, there must have been a better way. There must have been a way without sacrificing everyone!" Her face lit up with determination. "If you're a Sailor Senshi too, then we can all be friends!" A faint smile formed on Usagi's face at the thought.
Galexia got mad with Sailor Moon's words. 'Friends?' Her eyes gleamed fiercely as she blasted Sailor Moon again. Fighter ran up and rushed Sailor Moon away from the deadly attack. Sailor Moon smiled. "Fighter..." she murmured almost happily.
Galexia was seen with a scowl twisting her face, her features. She then chuckled. Which turned into a menacing laugh. Her eyes flickered over Star Fighter. Then Healer. And Maker. Her eyes, gleaming with malicious intent, rested on Usagi. She cocked her head slightly to the side as her eyes bore a hole into Usagi's head. "Do you know what happens at the end of a planet? People turn against each other. They even betray and try to escape. Those three with you are the same. They are traitors. Can you become friends with traitors?" The word seemed to echo throughout the room. Traitor.
Usagi shrunk back as her eyes widened with horror.
"That's not so!" cried out Fighter. She glanced at Usagi, her eyes asking for faith. Usagi's eyes blinked and warmth filled them, as if a response. A trance of a smile was still left on her face.
Galexia sneered. She started blasting them again. Everything around them started to crumble. Even the building beneath them. Sailor Moon then lost her grip on Chibi Chibi Moon. "Iie! Chibi Chibi!" she cried out, plunging over a building with no thought other than of reaching her dear "sister" and getting her to safety.
"Sailor Moon!" the Starlights cried rushing over the building to help her. Maker barely clasped Sailor Moon's hand in time. A few seconds later and... well, Sailor Moon would have been history! Maker and Fighter heaved her up and back onto the building, as they heard Galexia bellow out, "Where are you going to escape to?! The galaxy belongs to me! There's nowhere to hide!" She finished with vile and disgust forming at her throat thinking of the Traitors!
Fighter glanced up towards Galexia. Then back to Usagi. Determination seemed to radiate off Usagi and into Star Fighter, calming her very soul. She stood up. "We're not going to escape any more!" Healer and Maker got up. Galexia started laughing as the Starlight's powered up. Maker's eyes narrowed. "For the planets that were destroyed by you!" Healer stepped forwards. "For the Princess that protected us!" With a glance back to Usagi, "And for the important friends that protected us!" Swarms of images of the Inner Senshi came into their minds with those words.
    "Sailor Star Fighter!"
    "Sailor Star Healer!"
    "Sailor Star Maker!"
All together, "We've come onto the stage of battle!"
Galexia interrupted them, her eyes still laughing. "What can you do? You're just the ones that gave up on your planet and ran off!" She started to turn away, murmuring something about not worth her time. "Star Serious Laser!" Thundered across the room. Followed by, "Star Gentle Uterus!" Then, "Star Sensitive Inferno!"
Galexia turned back around as they sounded out their attack phrases, but all she did was stand there. Not flinching. Not moving a muscle. She then blinked. her skin felt irritated, as if she were standing near a furnace. Blink. She blinked again. It was getting hotter. Something was starting to happen to her. The Starlight's attack were cutting through her barrier. Impossible! Galexia finally fell down to her knee as her she coughed up blood woozily. The Starlights gave a grim smile, before plunging towards the ground in exhaustion.
Galexia got up more determined than before to get rid of these nuisances that were the vessels of something very important to her. Starseeds. She raised her gleaming swords, almost ceremoniously, before shoving it violently into the ground before her. Light gleamed all around and the Starlights knew they were headed straight for sudden death. But at least they took the knowledge with them to their graves that they, indeed, did injure Galexia.
That was the moment Sailor Moon stepped forward. Her eyes held the most umbering sadness in them. Sadness that reached down to the core of Sailor Moon. The very essence of Usagi. She shook her head, blond hair ruffling out behind her. "Please stop! We're all Sailor Senshi, so why can't we be friends?"
Galexia didn't expect this. She burst out laughing and looked down at the puny creature before her. "Were the same?! You insect! I created the future for this galaxy. I'm like a god!"
Sailor Moon took another step forward, her eyes blazing. "That's not true! You don't want that! I know..." She shook her head, determination creeping back into her eyes. "I'll turn you back to normal!" She raised her wand and light engulfed her, as well as her surroundings. It grew longer and longer... As tall as Sailor Moon herself. Sailor Moon raised it and yelled, "Silver Moon Crystal Power!" Light radiated off it and headed straight towards Galexia at an amazing speed. 'Onegai... [please]." Sailor Moon whispered. Galexia flinched, but the Starlight's looked straight into it, unflinchingly. Watching the warm glow, the healing glow. "Princess..." murmured Fighter. Galexia seemed to be turning good! But it was not to be...
She then grabbed her sword and rushed up to Sailor Moon, slicing off the top of her wand. Sailor Moon fell to the ground, breathing hard. Galexia smiled and raised her sword, planning to get Sailor Moon's starseed. She sent out a blast. But Fighter ran to intercept it. "We'll show you the final glitter of the shooting star that burns for the final time!" Fighter yelled. "I'll turn that glitter into darkness!" Galexia snarled back. She blasted the Starlights.
Galexia face distorted with hate as she let out another blast headed towards Usagi. The Starlights ran in front of her, arms wide open. Doing anything in their power not to have the blast hit Sailor Moon. Protecting her with their lives as the forfeit.
"Healer! Maker!" Usagi cried out in grief. "No matter what happens to us, Sailor Moon will still be here to fight you!" Maker said. 'We believe in her!" yelled out Healer. "Healer! Maker!" Sailor Moon repeated. Fighter took Usagi's hand. "No matter what, we'll be with you. We believe in you. All of us." And with that Fighter surged forward, followed by Maker and Healer. They got renewed strength from Sailor Moon. A battle ensued as the Starlights vanished from Sailor Moon's view. She screamed painfully after them and searched desperately to find them, but saw nothing but stars. Just then she saw a light in a far off corner. It grew bigger and screams were heard as the Starlights went hurtling backwards at an amazing speed. They hit the ground with a dull thud, feeling the strength they had, start to wither away.
Galexia rushed up with the sword, aiming for Fighter's heart. But just then Sailor Moon jumped in front of Fighter, her starseed gleaming brightly. Which halted Galexia's attack. For the moment. "Is the starseed going to release it's energy?" wondered the Starlights. Galexia stared at it with almost wonder and said in a hushed tone. "The starseed of the Tsukini Princess. The Princess of the moon, it's one of the best in the galaxy!" She then smiled maliciously and raised out her hand where dark energy was forming. Galexia then aimed it at Sailor Moon.
Sailor Moon felt a jerking and then anguishing waves of pure torture. Pain was obscuring her vision as she screamed wretchedly. She heard the Starlights yell out her name, but from a distance. Feathers floated around her. Dimly she realized that they were her feather, right off her back. Oh, her beautiful wings were destroyed! Then ribbons seemed to wrap themselves around her form, getting rid of her eternal fuku. She screamed aloud once again.
Galexia laughed with please. She finally got one of the most brilliant starseeds in the whole galaxy! She threw her palm out to receive the seed. It almost appeared to have the galaxy behind it, witnessing the terrible torture done to the girl.
Usagi screamed again. She felt herself falling, falling, falling forever. Down through the galaxy. She heard Fighter scream with such pain. Such sorrow. Fighter didn't even scream like that when her princess died! 'Oh... Fighter. Gomen nasai... I'm so sorry. So very sorry...' Usagi heard herself cry once more from the sheer agony of the waves of never-ending pain, and then she felt no longer. She was still. Lifeless. Limp.
Usagi felt herself free of form. But not of feeling. She felt the Starlights anguish and she knew Fighter was silently crying. Crying for her, their hope. But she also felt something else. Remorse... But who was it coming from? Galexia? Could it be? Usagi reached out further.. Yes! Yes it _was_ Galexia!
'After defeating Chaos, is this all I got? What was the reason to fight? Even though it's sealed, Chaos is gaining energy. My body is going to... I have to, though. Who is going to protect the galaxy besides me? ... Fly away my star, the light of hope. To a place where chaos can't find you. To the stars of love and justice!'
Usagi heard the thoughts straight from Galexia's head. 'Oh...' she murmured, feeling strangely sad for the one called Galexia. She must have suffered a lot. 'I wish... I wish... I wish I could help her!'
It was as if her wish was granted for Usagi felt movement again. Her movement. Her body was moving to receive something very import. Her starseed. She heard someone yell, "But it's going to end without the power of hope awakening!" Usagi felt confused, but didn't much pay attention to it. Something was going on and she needed to know what. She needed to help out any way she could. To save the galaxy! Usagi felt her hand clench and unclench. She slowly blinked her eyes a few times. 'What happened?' Her head turned towards her side and she saw Sailor Chibi Chibi Moon surrounded by light. 'What's going on?" Sailor Moon wondered, silently confused.
Galexia's eyes widened and she hitched a breath in. "This glitter... it can't be... The only light that can compete against me! The light that I released to the edge of the galaxy!" She took in another breath, almost filled with wonder. "The light of hope has awakened?"
Galexia recalled that day. When she released the light of hope and watched it form into a beautiful little red butterfly that disappeared from view. A voice spoke. But a voice she never heard before. "That was the beginning of everything." Galexia found herself almost nodding, still lost in the memory. 'Go fly off, my star, the light of hope. Go to someone who will embrace you warmly, to the one of love and justice.' Galexia shook her head and the memory was lost. She stared down at Chibi Chibi Moon, who was positively radiating with strangely warm energy. 'Is the light of hope going to awaken?" she questioned to herself. Her question was quickly answered as a blast flew straight up from Chibi Chibi.
The new voice spoke again. "Sailor Moon.." Usagi turned around, looking, wondering. And noticing that she was now floating in the air. "Who are you?" She turned around again and saw a lady floating gently with brilliant white wings, resembling her former princess self in a way. "I was always looking for someone who would take me in." Usagi's brow knit in confusion. 'Who are you?" The lady, Chibi Chibi in adult form, smiled. "I am the glitter that used to be Galexia's star, the light of hope. Please take me, my glitter of life." She seemed to vanish as a red butterfly took her place, and merged with Usagi's starseed. She cupped her hands to receive the starseed. Usagi then closed her eyes and smiled gently. "A warm light." The starseed became brighter in Usagi's hand and it formed into a crystalline sword. But not before transforming Usagi from ribbons loosely hanging, to princess garb. She was now Princess Serenity. "Please take this sword and defeat Galexia." Serenity hesitated. "Demo [but].." Galexia raised her sword and came at Serenity. Serenity dodged, and started to fall with the sword. "Don't be puzzled!" Chibi Chibi said. "Demo..." Serenity replied. "Sailor Moon!" yelled out Fighter. Serenity then seemed to give an internal struggle and finally took the sword before she fell.
Magically wings sprouted on her back. Not like the wings she carried as Eternal Sailor Moon, for that was part of her sailor fuku and she couldn't use those wings to actually fly. But these wings... They were wide and you could see each individual feather on it. And it was pure, brilliant, milky white. Such a contrast to the Galexia who came back rushing up with black devil wings.
After Galexia attacked Serenity, she crashed into the ground and hatred filled her. Devoured each and every bit of her. Galexia's eyes burned bright as another spirit was taking over. her bracelets broke from the force of such power. Her eyes flooded red as her costume went from gold to black. "So, you're going to take that sword and fight me? But you can't beat me with power. This body belongs to the strongest senshi in the galaxy, Sailor Galexia!" She raced up to Serenity on her new black wings and attacked her. Sailor Moon blocked the attack, all the while clenching her eyes and yelling at her to stop. "There's no point to fighting! Stop it!" "I have to put an end to the Sailor Wars. To do that I have to have all of the glitter of the stars disappear. Yours, and the light of hope." "She's not Galexia anymore." Chibi Chibi said sadly. "Chaos has taken over. From the moment that she sealed Chaos inside her body, it has started taking over." Chibi Chibi stopped for a moment, before talking again. "She put her hope in her starseed and released it out into the galaxy. And, it made it to you." Serenity interrupted. "That's Chibi Chibi?" Chibi Chibi continued on, "But it's too late. Please save the galaxy with this sword." Galexia attacked again, but Serenity just dodged every blow. Galexia drew closer. Serenity bit her lip, clenched her eyes shut, and stuck out her sword. It went right into Galexia's wing, surprising them both. Blood fell languidly down the sword. Anger flashed in Galexia's eyes for a moment. She raised the sword and with a quick motion let got fall on top of Serenity's sword. The sword shattered in Serenity's hands. Fighter watched with growing concern. She wanted to help Sailor Moon in any way possible, but she knew that it was Sailor Moon's fight now.
An unconscious Chibi Chibi Moon appeared in front of Serenity. Serenity looked at her. "Nothing will come out of fighting. We just hurt one another." Serenity tried to hug Chibi Chibi, but she vanished. "Gomen nasai... Chibi Chibi." whispered Serenity. Galexia sneered, "You don't have the courage or pride of a senshi!" Serenity looked towards Galexia. "If the pride of a senshi means hurting each other, I don't want it! Nothing will come out of fighting. Fighting isn't the only way to solve things!"
Her eyes warmed over and she smiled, now knowing what to do. A flash of light filled her and she was in ribbons again. She closed her eyes and her starseed appeared right in her chest as the ribbons disappeared. Galexia looked at her. "Have you given up yet?" "Iie [no]! I love this world. There might be some sad things, but this is where I met my friends. I love this world! You should too. Galexia smiled. "All of your friends disappeared!" Usagi shook her head. "Iie. They haven't." She smiled and glanced towards Fighter. "The Starlights taught me. As long as I don't give up, they are always there by my side. If there is a time when they disappear, it will be when I give up. So I'm not going to give up!" She smiled determinedly. "I won't give up!"
Fighter was watching Usagi and her heart almost burst with joy. Usagi was the most caring and friendly and beautiful and loveable person that she ever met! 'That's why I love you Tsukino Usagi, Sailor Moon!" Fighter silently whispered to herself, now realizing it with the utmost certainty. It was always hidden and buried in her heart, but she just couldn't face the fact that she really did love her. Not some like or psychical attraction to her, but real love.
"The only thing left for you to do is give me that starseed and disappear." Usagi shook her head slightly. "I'm not giving up! I believe in this world. And the piece of hope that is still left inside your heart!" Usagi felt her starseed get warmer and she closed her eyes, engulfed in the power of it. She opened her eyes and saw someone with long gold hair that trailed down to a reddish hue. She was smiling up at Usagi. "This light!" cried out Galexia. "I love this world. I don't want to lose it, everyone, or you!" Usagi said as she flew closer to Galexia.
Galexia saw Usagi. The pure essence of her very soul, and was frightened by it. "Don't come any closer to me!" she cried. And yet, somewhere deep inside she felt herself yelling just the opposite. "I love it. This world. I love this world!" Usagi came even closer to Galexia as the gold and red haired Galexia held out her hand. Usagi did the same. they clasped hands and Usagi found herself clasping hands with the evil Galexia as flowers from starseeds flew about. "I can see it, Sailor Moon. your warm and gentle light." she whispered to herself. Then her hair tumbled out and she turned into the _real_ Galexia. Her red and gold hair sparkled around her. She smiled. "Arigato, Sailor Moon! Your light lit up this galaxy." Her smile then faded a bit. "I wonder if Chaos disappeared?" "I think it went back to the place it belongs." "Where it belongs?" Usagi smiled. "In the hearts of everyone. Let's believe in the people of this world. It's all right. The light of hope is in everyone's hearts." Galexia lowered her eyes a bit. "You're very strong, but what I did can't be reversed." "Let's star over! It's not too late now." Galexia looked at her, hope forming in her heart. "Please lead the starseeds, so they won't go astray." "Arigato, Sailor Moon!" Galexia started to leave, then something made her pause. Something.... something that she did. Something irreversible. She tried to remember... remember...
Starseeds started to float away from the pack and circled Usagi. They became to Inner Senshi. A little farther off were four more starseeds, the Outer Senshi. Usagi started to cry from divine happiness at seeing them again.
Remember... Remember Tuxedo Kamen! Galexia let out a gasp. Usagi turned towards her. "Galexia-sama?" Galexia turned towards Usagi with the most profound sorrows hidden beneath her veiled gaze. She slowly looked up and met Usagi's clear blue eyes. "Usagi-san am so sorry. I didn't mean for it to happen." Usagi's brow knit with puzzlement. "Nani?" "Oh Usagi-san, I did something truly horrible when Chaos started taking over my body." She went over and got a starseed and brought it to Usagi. It was a warm and golden starseed. Usagi gasped. "Mamo-chan?!" "Usagi-san... I... I... killed him before I took his starseed!" Tears were streaming down her face. "He... he can't come back. He was already just barely dead when I took his starseed. I... I... can't bring him back." Usagi's eyes widened and she let out a gasp. "Mamo-chan!" She cried out. "Mamo-chaaaan!" Usagi looked around wildly with grief. She saw millions of starseeds. Starseeds...
Usagi knew what she had to do, to try to bring him back. She took out the ginzoushou and lifted it upward. Her nude body was bathed in a radiant light and she turned into Princess Serenity. But Serenity knew that she wouldn't have enough power got get her Endymion back in this form. She would die and he would live, but sooner or later he would kill himself out of grief. Princess Serenity begged the ginzoushou, "Onegai... Please give me more power!"
"Usagi-chan! Iie!' cried out Sailor Mars, rushing to her, but was stopped by Sailor Pluto. "She needs to do this Mars!" Mars stepped back, tears forming in her eyes.
Princess Serenity felt the cosmic power of the ginzoushou as it took more of her own power and merged both powers together. She felt heat bursting from it and engulfing herself, burning her. "Oh..." she murmured, feeling the searing pain. It hurt. Waves of tearing agony rushing up to her, never-ending. "Please! Ginzoushou! Give me more strength!" A light burst forth and crackled with energy. Serenity felt something happen within her heart. Something was being set into motion. Something... irreversible. She felt the weight of a crown on her head. Princess Serenity had transformed into Neo-Queen Serenity. Serenity reached out for the familiar energy of her beloved Endymion, but it was no where to be found. She searched desperately, looking all over inside her mind. Using her mind to do the searching while leaving her body behind. She felt her self stretching, stretching, stretching ever further. But... "Where is he? Endymion? Endymion?!" She felt someone approaching at a quick pace. "Endymion," she breathed out. But it wasn't Endymion, but the vague form of Queen Serenity, her mother from so long ago. "Mother!" she cried out. Serenity pulled her daughter in a warm embrace. "I am sorry dear daughter. I am the one that has to tell you the most horrid news. I am sorry, but Endymion died weeks ago. I felt his glimmer go out. And so did you." Serenity shook her head with disbelief. "Iie...my dreams..." Queen Serenity petted her daughters head, stroking her hands through her luxuriously long hair. Hair not unlike her own."Shhh... daughter. You will see him again." She looked up to her mother, eyes wide. "When? Soon? Will I die?" Serenity shook her head. "You cannot die daughter! You are using up too much energy as it is. You must not die. The world needs you, daughter. You are the only one who can save the world. You. Only you. The fate of the world is in your hands as well as the key to the future." Serenity stopped. She looked at her daughter, her beautiful, grown up, daughter. Her voice softened. "I love you Serenity and I would understand if you went to him now. It is your choice. But remember, the key to the future is in your hands, and yours alone. You must think about this daughter. But no matter what your decision, I shall respect it." Queen Serenity gave her daughter once last, lingering hug, before gently vanishing. Flickering out. Like a candle blown out.
Serenity watched her mother go. Tears were falling freely down her face. "Endymion... or the future..." She felt her mind and body tearing with anguish. "I will go with Endymion!" she cried out, but Serenity knew in her heart that she couldn't. She couldn't do that to the world. She already done that when she was a Princess over a thousand years ago, but now she was a Queen. She couldn't do that to her subjects. So, she was doing the only thing she could, sacrificing her happiness for the happiness of the world. A tough decision, but a good one. She would see Endymion again. Maybe not in the next week, month, or year. Hell, it would be many many years before she saw him again. But she would see him again. After she fulfilled her promise, her duty, to look after the people of earth. No matter how long that promise took. Serenity felt the decision settle in her heart. She slowly opened her eyes....
And met a pair of midnight blue eyes filled with tremendous concern over her well being. "Seiya-chan..." she whispered gently, in her classy but soft voice. 'Odango - I mean Neo-Queen Serenity." "Serenity will be just fine, thank you." "Serenity." Seiya said, wrapping the words around his tongue. Serenity noticed something wrong in his eyes. She touched his cheek lightly. "Seiya... what is it?" His troubled eyes met hers. "Is Usagi..." Seiya took in a gulping breath. "Dead?" Serenity looked at him, a slight frown marring her clear face. She searched around for any last remainder of the one known as Tukino Usagi, but found nothing. Only memories. "She is gone." Seiya closed his eyes quickly and took in a quivering breath. Serenity looked at him, finally realizing something. "You loved her, didn't you?" A tear trickled down Seiya's cheek and slipped past his jawbone down onto Serenity. "I did." Serenity smiled. "And I loved Endymion... my Mamo-chan." She looked at him. "We've both lost a lot, but maybe we can live with that pain and suffering, that loss.... together." Seiya's eyes widened and he looked down at her, his angel. His lip quivered lightly. "I... I would like that very much." Serenity smiled and sat upright. Her lips lightly brushed his cheek, the feel of a butterfly. She nodded her head, though the anguish was still apparent in her unwavering eyes. "We will learn to love once again... together."

Whew! You all done reading that? Wow! I'm shocked! You followed my story this far. Well, there will be only one more part - the Epilogue. I know that I could end it here, but I want to write more about the relationship of Seiya and Serenity, but also show Serenity's sadness of losing Endymion. It'll just wrap up some lose ends and what nots.
So, hope to see ya then! And, as always, comments and criticism can be e-mailed at eternalsailormoon@usa.net
