Korean Recipe for Spicy Pork Barbeque (Daeji Bulgogi) and Lamb (Yang Gui)
INGREDIENTS
- 450g pork tenderloin (cut into very thin slices)
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce
- 2 tbsp hot pepper paste
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp garlic (minced)
- pinch of pepper
- pinch of minced ginger
This is an excellent marinade for making bulgogi or barbequing your food at the table.
If prefer, you can subsitute the pork for lamb or use both meats in this mariande. For best results, marinade
the meat overnight.

To prepare:
- In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, hot pepper paste, sesame oil, sugar, garlic, pepper and ginger together
- Place pork in a shallow dish
- Pour marinade sauce over meat
- Marinade meat for 1 hour or overnight
- Preheat barbeque grill
- Barbeque till both meat is brown on both side
- Prepare Spicy Lamb Barbeque: (Yang Gui) instead of pork, use lamb or a combination of both
- Use 450g lamb, cut into slices
- Mix all ingredients for marinade and pour onto lamb
- Marinade lamb for 1 hour or overnight
TIP: If you do not wish to cut the pork slices yourself, you can opt to buy prepackaged
slices of pork which are available in most Korean markets and Asian food stores.
