Chinese Recipe for Supreme Pork Chop
INGREDIENTS FOR MAKING SUPREME PORK CHOP
- 600g pork chops
- enough oil for deep frying
- lettuce (garnish)
Ingredients for Marinade
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp plain flour
- 1 tbsp custard powder
- 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 200ml water
- 200g corn flour (add in last)
Ingredients for Sauce
- 2 tbsp tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp chilli sauce
- 1 tsp Worchestershire sauce
- 1 tsp curry powder
- 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp light soy sauce
- 3 tbsp water

To prepare:
- Cut the pork chop into 1 cm thick
- Pound the pork chop with the back of a knife till tender
- In a bowl, mix in all the ingredients for the marinade except corn flour
- Add in the pork chop to the marinade and leave for about 30 mins
- Add in the corn flour to the pork chop and mix everything well
- Heat up oil in deep-fryer or wok
- Put in the pork chops and deep-fry till golden brown and cooked
- Dish and drain on paper towel
- In a bowl, combine the ingredients for the sauce
- Leave about 1 tbsp of oil in the wok
- Pour in the sauce and cook till you get a thick texture
- Add in pork chops and mix well
- Dish up and serve on a bed of lettuce
