Indian Recipe for Chicken with Black Pepper
INGREDIENTS
- 800g chicken drumsticks
- 4 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp haldi or turmeric powder
- 2 tsp red chilli paste
- salt to taste
- enough oil for frying
- 2 tsp black peppercorn (crushed)
- 3 1/3 tbsp lemon juice
- 4 tbsp fresh coriander (chopped)
- 1/2 tsp garam masala

To prepare:
- In a bowl, mix together the ginger garlic paste,
turmeric powder, red chilli paste and salt
- Marinate the chicken drumsticks in this mixture and set aside in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours
- Heat the oil in a pan
- Fry chicken till you get a golden brown
- Remove, drain and set aside
- In the same kadhai or wok, add the chicken along with the rest of the marinade
- Add in the black peppercorn, lemon juice, garam masala, coriander and salt
- Stir-fry till everything is fully cooked
- Garnish with a few leftover coriander leaves
- Serve with steam rice or
naan bread
