Chinese Chicken with Kai Lan Vegetable Free Recipe
INGREDIENTS
- 400 ml water
- 1 whole chicken
- 1 bunch kai lan
- 1 tbsp garlic (chopped)
- 3 tbsp oil
SEASONING MIX
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp chicken stock powder
- 100 ml water
- 1 tsp corn flour (mixed with 1 tbsp water for thickening)

To prepare:
- Bring water to boil in a deep pot
- Put in chicken, lower heat and cook for 35 mins or till cooked
- Dish up and soak in ice water for 15 mins
- Remove, cut into pieces and arrange on plate
- Blanch kai lan till cooked and arrange with chicken
- Heat up 3 tbsp oil and saute chopped garlic till fragrant
- Add in the seasoning mix and bring to a boil
- Thicken with corn flour water and pour over chicken with kai lan
- Serve immediately
