Indian Recipes for Cooking Fish Moilee

INGREDIENTS

  • 600 gm fish fillets
  • 50 ml oil
  • 6 green cardamom (choti elichi)
  • 2 curry leaves
  • 4 to 5 green chillies (cut into slices)
  • 10 gm ginger (chopped)
  • 15 gm garlic (chiopped)
  • 100 gm onions (chopped)
  • 3 gm tumeric powder (haldi)
  • 500 ml coconut milk
  • Salt to taste

To prepare:

  • Heat oil in wok (kadhai), add cardamom, curry leaves, green chillies, ginger and garlic
  • Stir fry for 1 min
  • Add onions, saute till transparent
  • Stir in turmeric, fish fillet and coconut milk, cook for 15 to 20 mins
  • Season with salt, bring to boil and simmer for 8 to 10 mins or till fish is cooked
  • Transfer to a serving dish, serve hot, accompanied by rice and green salad
