Chinese Egg Fried Rice Recipe - Free chinese seafood recipes

A staple of chinese food is chinese fried rice. The vegetarian version has no meat or seafood. If you're not a vegetarian and prefer seafood then you're free to add some shrimp or other seafood to this recipe. This recipe is neutral in flavour and can be complimented by the addition of seafood. Cooking this asian recipe is very simple and requires little work. It's easy to cook a delicious chiinese meal by following this easy recipe. Chinese fried rice can be an integral part of your dinner. INGREDIENTS FOR VEGETARIAN CHINESE EGG FRIED RICE

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 spring onions - finely chopped
  • 2 to 3 tsp vegetable oil
  • 450 gm cooked rice
  • 115 gm peas
HINT: Leftover rice from yesterday's meal makes best fried rice. You can also add large prawns or shrimps for extra flavour.

INGREDIENTS FOR SEAFOOD CHINESE EGG FRIED RICE

  • same as above
  • 300 grams prawns or shrimp ( optional, only for seafood dish )

  • In a bowl, lightly beat eggs and add a dash of salt and a few spring onions
  • After heating oil in wok, add egg mixture and stir
  • Gently turn and stir till eggs are scrambled
  • Add rice and stir so grains are seperated
  • Stir in remaining salt and peas
  • Garnish with remaining spring onions
TIP: For darker rice, use light and dark soy sauce. Season to taste, however be careful of adding too much soy sauce because of the high sodium content.
