Thai Fish Recipe for Prik Naam Plaa or Sweet Sour Fish Sauce
INGREDIENTS
- 4 medium garlic cloves - finely chopped
- 1/4 cup fish sauce (Naam Plaa)
- 1 tbs red chillie or cayenne pepper flakes - crushed
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup warm water
- 6 tbs fresh lime juice

To prepare:
- Combine all the ingredients in a small bowl and stir well
- Serve at room temperature
- Yields about 1 3/4 cup of sauce and is the ideal as a dip for
most dishes
If prefer, instead of using flakes, you can give the sauce a more authentic flavour by using
Thai Prik Kii Nuu (Mouse Peppers) instead. You may make this sea food dish more spicy if you so desire.
