Free Japanese Recipe for Japanese Grilled Tuna Salad
INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/4 lbs tuna steak (high grade quality)
- 4 pieces of fresh ginger (chop fine)
- 2 cloves garlic (chop fine)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 cups Chinese cabbage
- 4 cups shredded red leaf lettuce
- 2 large carrots (peeled, cut into matchsticks)
- 2 cups bean sprouts (rinsed, patted dry)
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds (roasted)
- 1 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp oil
- 3 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- lime zest

To prepare:
- Process ginger, garlic, soy sauce, lime juice, oil, honey, lime zest, black pepper and red pepper flakes till
smooth
- Set aside 1/2 mixture to be used as salad dressing for later
- Brush tuna steaks generously with the mixture
- Grill for exactly 3 mins
- Turn steaks, brush other side and grill for another 2 to 3 mins
- Tuna should be slightly pink in middle when done, remove and set aside
- Mix all vegetables
- Divide each into four plates
- Cut tuna into 3/4 in chunks and place over salad
- Pour rest of dressing and sprinkle with sesame seeds
