Personal Info
Thank you...
Here ;-) ;-) ;-), allow me to share some really nice cool, delicious coconut juice and coconut meat direct from the islands before you read. Hhmmmm hmmmm hmmmm, yum yum! Don't be shy friends, there is plenty to go around. Then, we'll have some other exotic drinks from the islands later on, eh? ;-) ;-) ;-) and perhaps eat various Filipino food. How is that? ;-) ;-) ;-)
Kumusta! My name is Ancel Manalili, born and raised in Luzon island, Philippines. I reside in a barrio called San Roque located in Floridablanca, Pampanga province. I am sure most of you never heard of it. But that's okay ;-). It's a cool place located away from the city, approx. 2 hours North of Manila. We're surrounded by green rice fields, there are numerous fresh water rivers in the area. The place is close to the mountains and the view is magnificent.
As most of you probably know, the Philippines consist of 7,100+ islands. So, the beach sceneries are wonderful. We speak numerous dialects numbering over 111. Since we speak numerous dialects, it's like having different cultures within the different provinces of the country. Since we have all these different cultures, I am very proud to say that the people of the islands are friendly. There are people from the neighboring countries who reside in the islands. So, their cultures and lifestyles makes it even more interesting to see and feel the Filipino way of life.
Okay, more about myself, I like traveling. I love learning about the different countries and their cultures. I enjoy experiencing the hospitalities of the people from different countries. I love seeing the beautiful sceneries worldwide, sampling the various cuisines and meeting new friends. I like spending times with the local people, that's the best way to learn new things from other countries.
I like listening to all types of music: Classical, jazz, new age, reggae, country, elevator music, techno, dance, rap, rock, heavy metal, etc. from the West. I love listening to international singers and bands worldwide who sing in their own languages as well, even though I don't understand the lyrics ;-). There are many outstanding singers and bands out there who are as talented as the bands and singers from the West. In the Orient, I love listening to singers and bands from China, Japan, Korea, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Singapore, India and so on. Here are some of my favorite bands and singers from the Orient:

From China: The famous rock bands Black Panther, Tang Dynasty, Beyond, Tai Chi, Grasshopper, ;-) ;-) ;-) singers Jacky Cheung, Andy Lau, Aaron Kwok, Sandy Lam, Sammi and so on... the list will be too long for Chinese singers and bands ;-) ;-) ;-).

From Japan: The famous rock bands Loudness, Earth Shaker, Dead End, Spitz, Bow Wow, Dassen 3 and the numerous Japanese ballad singers.

From Thailand: The famous rock bands Dome Martin, The Olarn Project, Ampon, Stone Metal Fire, Thierry, Gazarb, The Rain, singer NAT and other Thai ballad singers.

From the Philippines: Grace Nono, Francis M, Freddie Aguilar, Sampaguita, Mike Hanopol, Abrakadabra, Backdraft, The Youth, After Image, Kuh Ladesma, other Filipino bands, singers and musicians based overseas, etc.

From India: Sukhbir (cool Indian singer), Somesh, Biddu, Pulse, Bebba Seghal, Anaida, etc. Okay, I think I need to stop here, the list will be too long ;-) ;-) ;-).

Well, one more ;-). I also love listening to bands and singers from the Middle East countries (Hamad Al Manea, Mustafa Qofar, Khalid Bin Hussain, Alham, Yosefa, etc.), African countries, Russia, and South American countries (Rata Blanca, Malon, Sepultura, etc.) as well. Then there is the Latin beat which is really addictive to listen to. Furthermore, European singers and bands too who sing in their own languages. Okay, enough about music ;-) ;-) ;-).
What do I do: I work in the Information Technology (IT) field dealing with global networks, local area networks, computer software/hardware, programming, network hubs/switch/router configurations and systems security. I get involved with monitoring what users are doing with the network servers and their computers at work ;-). Be careful I am watching you --- just kidding ;-). Then, my favorite will be testing computer hardware and software before it gets implemented on the network. Another favorite thing I truly enjoy doing is playing with network penetration tools, I think it's pretty interesting. The systems that I like working on are Windows NT servers/workstations, Unix based systems (Sun Microsystems running Solaris software, Vax Systems and any systems running Linux software). Oh, yes, mainframe super computers are still alive ;-). I continue to learn new things everyday on what I do. It's like a never ending saga, there is always something new all the time. Okay, enough about this before I bore you to death ;-) ;-) ;-).
Other things I like to do: Play drums with earplugs, of course ;-). I still love my ears ;-). I also play keyboard (I love to experiment with synthesizer music then mix it with acoustic and electronic drums. I think MIDI is fun. With the proper equipment, you can do magic with music). ;-) ;-) ;-) I enjoy having jam sessions with Oriental friends and others. Here's a picture of me with the drumset.
My other hobbies: Reading computer books and computer magazines, computing, net surfing, sending letters and e-mails to friends worldwide. I like sports activities and exercise (got to take care of the body, eh?). I enjoy martial arts, swimming, biking, skateboarding, flying kites, jumping off from a flying aircraft or parachuting (I love the feeling of rush adrenaline and the feeling of floating up in the air for awhile.) I've always wanted to learn how to snow ski, unfortunately, it doesn't snow in the Philippines. I should have been an expert in surfing and wind surfing by now, but I am not quite there yet; also, since I learned how to parachute already, I want to learn hang gliding to perfect it --- I love the feeling of flying like a bird ;-), and enjoy the coast sceneries and the mountain views up above. It's a wonderful feeling indeed ;-).
Okay, the music on this site are mostly Asian music. I hope you enjoy the music from the different pages while you explore them. Hopefully, you have a true stereo sound card and a good set of speakers. Otherwise, you'll not truly appreciate the sound quality ;-). Please sign the guestbook so I can get to know you, eh? Perhaps you and I can exchange ideas and information via the internet. That would be nice ;-). And, I always return the favor, so sign the guestbook ;-). Okay, friends, talk to you later ;-).
