Tanya Cambridge can be described as a typical boy crazy teen-ager, but don't let that
fool you!
Tanya's very friendly, like Minako(Mina/Sailor Venus), but with a little twist. She has a bad temper sometimes like Rei (Raye/Sailor Mars), but is generally nice. She only acts this way because the death of her mother when she was just 8 years old affected her very much, but she doesn't want any "sympathy" from anyone.
She never likes to see anyone sad or alone, so she gets over her shyness and starts to make
jokes to break the ice. She even likes to make funny faces and do silly dances
(she is VERY into dancing) to make someone who is lonely or sad just laugh ^_^. One of the things Tanya is always doing is laughing, or if not that, just staring at the stars at night and daydreaming(the daydreaming part is much to the dismay of her dad). Tanya hates anything that has to do with racism or discrmination of any kind. She believes in what is in the heart and soul of a person, not their skin color or background. Growing up in Northern Africa and visiting other African countries, she's been around every race in the world, so meeting people of a different culture doesn't phase her at all. She's learned that deep inside, every race is basically the same, with good and bad people in them.
Tanya is a very loyal friend, and she will go so far as to sacrifice her own life to help someone she cares for and love. Tanya is a person who strongly believes in good causes, and will
fight to defend those causes to the end. When push comes to shove, she is ready for a fight just like Makoto (Lita/Sailor Jupiter). Tanya can be a little ditzy and clumsy, but not to the extreme like Usagi (Sailor Moon/Serena). Despite that, when it does comes down to serious things
and situations, she shows a maturity that is WAY beyond her years.
Tanya's not a genius as Ami(Sailor Mercury/Amy) or Taiki (Sailor Starmaker), but is a much better student than Usagi! What she has is more of "street smarts". If there was a test at school, Usagi would probably get a 45% or better, Ami will get a 100%, and Tanya around 90% in English, History, Phys. Ed. and such, but only a 45% or better in math.
Other things that Tanya like to do on her spare time is learning about ancient civilizations of the whole world,
like Rei (Sailor Mars/Raye), and dance to hip-hop music. ^_^
Because of her Libran nature, Tanya is not very good at making quick decisions on the spot,and is often known to be forced by her father or friends to make a choice, but when she does, she sticks by it, and it is very hard to get her to change her mind. All in all, she's a good, all around normal teen-aged good-girl, but not TOO good, (because she also loves to be bossy sometimes, and play jokes:). One thing Tanya is very proud of though is that she is not a die hard crybaby like Usagi, even though she can get emotional at times. One last thing about Tanya that people don't know...in fact, which Tanya barely knows herself, is that she is empathic. She can feel the emotions and pain of her loved ones and those she is close to, like her friends. Tanya never really understood or delved into that part of herself. She just attributed it to being "sensitive".
Physical Description: Tanya has the classical beauty of a Black model. She has soft, VERY dark fudge-brown skin and large hazel-brown eyes that sometimes turn brighter and greyish with her changing emotions and when she is in the sun. Many people have said that her eyes have a rather childlike quality, and shines with a brilliant innocence. Another trait of hers is that she is always blushing, whether it be because of a cute guy, from running, or is just plain embarrassed. ^.^ Her hair is jet black, thick and straight, and goes down to her waist. Tanya has sensous cherry red lips and a dipple on her right cheek. Tanya's most misleading attribute is that she is quite short, and a bit on the thin side, but her surprising strength and agility is enough to take care of and defeat her enemies as the powerful Sailor Sirius.
In the Silver Millenium, a time over one thousand years ago when all the planets were occupied, Queen Serenity ruled the Solar System from the Moon in her Moon Palace,
(you know the story, I hope^_^) In her past life, Tanya was known as Princess Tonicia KnightStar, and she lived in the Sirius Star System, a star system roughly about 8 light years from Earth. She lived on the planet Sirius-Endoria with her parents, King Marcopius KnightStar and Queen Felicity KnightStar. Each of the royal families from the neighboring planets in the Sirius System, as well as Duke Honorius Poelaryes, originally from the Polaris Star System, were part of the Interplanetary Senate, and had a seat in the Council of the Allied Systems
The Council Of The Allied Systems was a legitimate govermental collaboration between the Solar System, Polaris system, Sirius Star System, and many countless other systems to ensure peace within the Milky Way galaxy. All the KnightStar Royal family lived in the planet closest to the sun, Sirius-Endoria, on the Southern Betelguese Continent in the Nova Castle. In this system, the oldest or only child of the royal family protected the system with the Sirius Emerald StarStone, which was passed down from mother to daughter for generations. Unlike in our system, Senshi Guardians were not chosen to guard the kingdom or family. It was the child of the currently ruling royal couple that posseses this powerful gem until she married and passes it on. When she needed help, the Guardian of the system got assistance from the Sailor Senshi, also known as the Sailor Guardians from the Moon Kingdom in the Solar Star System.
Princess Tonicia also had a Golden Retriever named Marco. He helped her with her studies and training, and mostly gave her moral support, and taught her the history of her
family, the planet, and the Golden Millenium, a time one thousand years before the Silver Millenium. The Sirius Star System was reduced to one semi-barren planet when it was attacked and destroyed by the Dark Kingdom before it reached the Solar System.
Did you know?: Tanya has a big secret crush on Yaten, Sailor Starhealer of the Sailor Starlights. I don't why, since he is so rude! He does like her a little too, but doesn't want to admit it to himself or anyone else.
