This is my first fanfic that i have ever wrote, so please tell me your

serena turning into sailor moon or anything, but it is really romantic, so 
keep reading!!

using her characters in this fanfic, so don't sue me or anything!!

"Mom!!!! You can’t be serious about going to Austalia can you? 
I mean, you can only go so far for your job!!!!" Serena wailed with desperation.

"I think that it will be educational for me to work in a new atmosphere, 
and I will also be promoted to a higher rank" is all the explanation she 
got from her mother. 

"I know, i can stay with Raye, i’m sure her grandfather won’t mind....."

"Totally out of the question Serena, with you two together, I’m sure 
her grandfather will go insane!"

"But mom, this is my senior year, the most improtant year of my life, 
and you expect me to drop everything and follow you to Australia?????"

Her mom stared at her incredulously, " where did you get the idea you 
were coming with me?"

"Ok mom, I know that sometimes I can be hard to handle but I never thought
the day would come when you would put me up for a..ad....ADOPTION!!!" 
Serena burst into tears, and to her surprise, her mother started to laugh 
uncontrolably.

"That...that is the most funniest thing I have heard in years!!!" her
mother managed to say through her giggles. Finally after her mother 
contained herself, she explained, "Serena, I know it’s going to be hard 
for you, but your going to have to move to California with your dad, 
that way you guys can make up for all those lost years, and then you 
won’t have to move with me to Australia."

Serena was lost in her own thought after hearing the words moving to 
California. She would finally be able to see Jeremy!!! 

The next few days were terribly hectic.They both packed up everything 
and got ready fr the move. Serena and Raye spent those remaining days 
together. Aftre saying goodbye to her mother, Serena and Raye headed to 
board her own flight. 

"I’m going to miss you soo much!!" Serena said, bursting into tears.

"Don’t worry, i have a phone, and i’m not afraid to use it!! And plus, 
I get to visit you once every month!!"

The last call for California was called, so she finally boarded the 
plane with eyes filled with tears. After a few hours on the plane,  
Serena began to get worried because was her first time flying..  Slowly, she began to calm down by thinging about Jeremy,
and those perfect nights in the park, and those perfect kisses........soon
after, she drifted off to a dreamless sleep.

Once arriving at the airport, she got her baggage at the baggage claim 
and headed to the door where her dad was suppose to pick her up.  Someont tapping on her shoulders
broke her thougts. She turned around to find a handsome man, about her 
age with stunning eyes and bangs that fell over them. 

"Who are you?" 

"Um.... hi, are you Serena?"

"Maybe, why are you asking?"

"Your dad sent me to pick you up" he said as he thrust his hand forward. 
"My name is Darien"

She looked at him curiously, but shook his hand. "How do i know your not 
some wacko maniac trying to kidnap me?"

Getting a little annoyed, "Cause your dad’s name is Jeff, he’s an artist, 
he’s 42, he has blue eyes, blonde hair, and i’m his assistant. Now do 
you believe me?"

"No, not really, but I need a ride home, so I guess i’ll just have to 
trught you, huh?" she said with a  toyful smile on her face.

Getting all her stuuf into the car wasn’t easy but he managed. Through 
most of the ride, Serena was quiet, looking outside at the beautiful 
scenery.

Darien took this time to take a look at her.  He tore 
off his gaze as she glanced at him. Finally reaching the house, she ran 
ahead to greet her Father who was inside making some herbal tea.

"Daddy!!! I haven’t seen you like forever!!!"

"Hi sweetheart, i missd you too!! How was your flight?"

"Oh, it was alright..."

Darien walked into the room with Serena’s bags.

"Umm....sorry to break the moment, but these are kinda heavy......"

"Oh, hi Darien! Serena, you’ve met Darien right?" her dad winked at her.

Serena groaned inwardly,  She snapped out of her thoughts as Darien 
cleared his throat.

"Um....Mr. Tsukino, so where do you want me to put all this stuff?"

"Oh, I’m sorry. The second room on the left."

"Hey Serena, what do you have in here, bricks of gold?" Darien teased.

"Ha ha, very funny."



"Serena, why don’t you go and start unpacking while I barbeque some ribs 
on the grill?"

"Um.. yah sure Dad, i’ll go upstairs"

 Without realizing it, 
she slowly stopped thinking about Jeremy, and started to think about her 
life here. Outside, the sun was setting, with an array 
of colors, surrouding the sun. Slowly, her lips curled up to a smile, 
she raced downstairs to flip through a phone book, searching throught the 
L’s she finally found what she was looking for, Lawson. That was Jeremy’s 
last name, but to her disappointment there were a page and a half of 
Lawson’s, and she didn’t even know what his father’s name was!!!

The next morning, Serena went downstairs to find her father and Darien 
at the table looking at the morning newspapre, and drinking coffee. Looking at him, and getting 
slightly annoyed. 

"Oh, good morning sweetheart. Since your still new to the area I have 
asked Darien here to take you to see a movies and dinner afterwards, 
and just introduce you to the area, what do you say?"

"Um.....I don’t know Dad, I want sort out my stuff, and finish 
unpacking...."

"Oh, come on Serena, it won’t be that bad, I don’t bite..." Darien 
replied with a lospided grin on his face.

"I have to get ready too, I mean, tommorow *is* the first day for me at 
a new school...."

"Hey, sure no problem, do you want me to show you around school tommorow?"

"I think I can manage..."

Serena spent the day in her room, pick out an outfit to wear tommorow,
dialing more phone numbers, but none of them seemed to have a person 
with a guy named Jeremy living there. Serena punched in another number 
from the phone book.

"Hi, may I please speak to Jeremy?"

"Huh? What’s that? You’ll have to speak up dear!!!!" The old lady 
practically yelled.

"HI, MAY I SPEAK TO JEREMY?"

"Oh, Jeremy? I’ll go get him."

Serena’s heart raced as she heard that. After a few minutes, and a scramble on the 
other line, a man picked up the phone.

"Hello? Is that you Jeremy?" Serena asked confused.

"Yes this is Jeremy." The old man managed to get out.

"Um...excuse me how old are you?"

"I’m 87, why do you ask? Do I know you?"

"Oh,......I’m sorry, I made a mistake"

The old man started to hang up the phone but muttered, "Those teenagers 
and their crank calls, why I remeber when I was young, I was a good 
boy....."

After Serena hung up the phone, she burst into tears. She cried till her pillow was soaked with tears. An hour went 
by, and Serena just laid in her bed not moving, just breathing..........

"Serena!!! Time for dinner!!!," her father yelled from downstairs. She 
had barely realized that she had fallen asleep and it was already seven 
o’clock!!

She went down to the table to find Darien looking at her.

"What do you want, and what are you doing here?"

The comments obviously hurt him, but trying to conceal it, he looked 
down on the table. Serena immediately regretted saying that.

"Darien, I’m sorry I really didn’t mean it, I have just been snappy 
these pass few days." 

"It’s ok Serena. Is it that time of the month for you?" He replied with 
a grin on his face.

"Ughhhhh!! You make me soooooo mad!!!!! I take back my apology."

"Now now you two, settle down. You guys sound like an old married couple!"

"As if I would *ever* marry him!!"

They sat throught the whole dinner in silence. Each thinking about 
their own thoughts. After dinner, Serena washed the dishes, and went in 
her room.

The next morning, Serena got up extra early to get ready to go to her 
new school. Her father sent her that day, but told her that from that day 
forth Darien would be taking her. With a heavy sigh, she got out of the 
car, and to the office to get her schedule. A little after first period 
she seemed to get lost.



A girl walked up to her and asked her, "Are you new to this school?"

"Um.......yah, and i’m getting lost already"

"Oh, maybe I can help. Let me see your schedule."

Serena studied her she was beautiful in the peppy, cheerleader way, 
with brown hair, and green eyes, she looked to be liked by many guys.

"How rude I am!! I didn’t introduce myself, my name is Alisse, but 
everyone calls me Leesie."

"Thanks for helping me, my name is Serena."

"Well, the good news is that your next class in home ec. the bad news 
is that it’s at the other end of the school. Don’t worry, i’ll walk you 
to your class though."

"Thanks. So, do you have a boyfriend?"

"Yah, we’ve been together ever dince like first grade I think. How about 
you?"

"Well..........there is someone I care about alot, i just can’t seem to 
find him......"

"Did he move away or something?"

"Something like that......so, are you into any sports or anything?

"I don’t know if you would consider cheerleading a sport, but i’m a 
cheerleader"

Serena smiled to herself.

"Well, here’s your class."

"Thanks forhelping, i hope you don’t get in touble for being late...."

"Don’t worry about it, I’ll just tell Mrs. Jacobson that I was helping 
out a new student, she won’t mind. Well bye, see you around!"

As Serena waved goodbye, she couln’t help but feel happy that she had 
made a new friend.

On Friday, Serena couln’t help but be a little mad at the phone book. 
After all, it hadn’t helped her at all. Since Darien asked if she wanted 
to see a movie that night, and she was tired of staying home all the 
time, she agreed. It was a crowded movie theater that they went to, and 
since the movie wasn’t staring for another thrit minustes, they just sat 
in the theater waiting for the movie to begin. In the theater, Darien 
could tell that Serena wasn’t exactly overjoyed.

"Hey Serena, what’s wrong?"

"Oh, nothing......"

"Come on, just tell me...."

Serena didn’t know what came over her, she just suddenly blurted out 
the whole story to him, starting with how her and Jeremy met. To her 
surprise, he was totally understanding, and didn’t make fun of her 
through the whole thing.

"Serena, what was his name? I mean his whole name."

"Jeremy Lawson, why?"

Darien turned a little pale, "Um.. Serena, I have something to tell 
you." There was a loud sound in the back of the theater to make Serena 
turn around, and to her surprise, she saw JEREMY LAWSON!!!!! She couldn’t
believe her eyes!! She turned to Darien, "That’s Jeremy!!"

"Yah Serena, he goes to our school..." Serena was ecstatic, she couln’t 
wait till the movie ended to jump into Jeremy’s arms.

After the movie ended, Serena found Jeremy right after he came out of 
the men’s bathroom. Though Darien tried to stop her, telling her that 
there was something really important that he needed to tell her about 
Jeremy, but Seren kept telling him that it could wait.

"Jeremy!!!!"

Jeremy’s eyes opened ten times their regular size, and manged to get 
out......... "S... Serena??????"

"Hi honey!!!!!" She expeced him to wrap her in his arms and kiss her, 
but all she got was him staring wide eyed at her in shock. Then Serena 
saw Leesie walk up behind Jeremy and kiss him on the cheek.

"Oh hi Serena, have you met my significant other, my boyfriend i was 
telling you about, Jeremy?"

This time it was Serena’s turn to stare.
