Eighteen years ago
"I’m sorry, but you can’t come live with me on Earth." King Terran said. Queen
Serenity was heartbroken. They had secretly married on the Moon a few months ago,
even though King Terran was already married. His previous marriage was arranged and
he did not have a choice. He had arrived on the Moon a few months ago on a business
meeting, but he did not know that he would find his one true love there. It was
forbidden at that time for a man to have two wives, so they decided, that in a few
years that Queen Serenity and their daughter would go to Earth and live with him
there. He gave Queen Serenity and amulet with engravings on it as a symbol of his
love.At the time of his departure, his daughter was only three weeks old with
stunning deep blue eyes and a mouth that wouldn’t stop making little noises. Queen
Serenity was left dispirited, but determination to make Serena the most well taught,
graceful, and kindest girl alive comforted her grief. Eighteen slow years passed
without a word from King Terran..........................
Present day
"Oh, Mother!!! Why do I have to practice my posture and the way I walk everyday?"
Serena complained to her Mother as they walked pass a trickling stream and a
stunning gazebo.
"Serena, we have been through this over and over. You-"
"Yes, I know. I have to be perfect when I visit my father." Serena filled in for her
mother. Serena understood why her mother would want her to be flawless, giving her
music lessons, horse riding lessons, writing lesson, and just about everything else
imaginable. She had never met her father before, and was quite curious about how he
looked like and what kind of person he was. She never told her mother before, but
she often agonize about things relating to her father, such as would he love her
like he does with his sons that live with him on earth? (Her mother had told her
that he had other children from his first wife.)
"Serena!! Did you here a word that I just said?" Queen Serenity asked.
"Huh?" Serena was confused as she was pulled out of her thoughts.
"Serena, I was just saying that it’s about time you chose a husband. You’re eighteen
years old, and I know that your totally capable of taking care of yourself, but I
just want to see you married ............ and a few grandchildren would be nice too."
Queen Serenity added with a smile.
"Have you seen the choices that I have for a husband lately? They are so completely
selfish and egoistic!! They think that they’re the hottest guys in the Universe!! I
don’t think that I have gone through five minutes of conversation with each of them
without them praising themself about how handsome they look!!" Serena said.
"Hah hah! Ok, I know what your talking about. You know-" Queen Serenity was
interrupted by Amy. She was one of Serena’s servants as well as one of her good
friends.
"I’m sorry, but there’s someone in the Grand Hall that wants to see you and Princess
Serena," Amy announced.
"Who is it, Amy?" Serena asked curiously.
"I’m not sure, I was just told that someone wanted to see you, I wasn’t informed who
though...."
"Well, let’s find out shall we?" Queen Serenity asked. As they made their way to the
Grand Hall, she couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong. Queen Serenity
glanced at her daughter, smiling happily as she looked at the beautiful flowers that
had bloomed a few days ago.
"Wait, I want to see who our visitor is by myself. I want you and Amy to go your
room and stay there till I come get you, ok?"
"Why Mother, is something wrong?" Serena asked worriedly.
"No, it’s nothing, I just a have a bad feeling about this visitor, that’s all."
"Queen Serenity, please be careful, and bring Lita and Raye with you when you meet
him," Amy said. Lita and Raye were Queen Serenity’s most trusted guards and advisors.
They were trained well, with great martial arts skills.
"Don’t worry, I’ll be careful. Now go to Serena’s room and stay there till I come
get you, is that understood?" Queen Serenity said firmly. The girls nodded their
heads in unison, and made their way to Princess Serena’s room. Queen Serenity called
for Lita and Raye. A few minutes later, they arrived and found Queen Serenity
sitting on a bench gazing at the stream.
"Is something wrong, Queen Serenity?" Lita asked with concern.
"No, not yet at least. I have this really bad feeling about this stranger that’s
waiting for me in the Grand Hall. I was wondering if you two would accompany me."
"Of course we will. Don’t worry, we’ll protect you if anything goes wrong." Raye
said assuringly.
"Well, what are we waiting for? Let’s go see who this guy is already!" Lita said
enthusiastically.
