May 18, 1999 After some very hard decisions on my part, I have decided that Free Stuff Online is no longer suitable for update and has decided to close this site for an indefinite amount of time. Some of the main reasons for this closure is the incredible amount of spam mails that have been generated from the email address I post on this site as well as some extremely crude and childish flame mails I have been getting recently concerning this site. Furthermore, I feel that GeoCities has intruded into my website too much by placing all those unnecessary ads and watermarks on all of my pages. Indeed, they offer you a lot of space, but think twice before committing yourself to hosting a site here. They're making a lot of money off you and frankly, I don't think it's worth it. On the other hand, I truly appreciate all of you who have helped and supported me along, allowing this site to gradually grow and sprout into its current size and might. It's wonderful receiving suggestions and criticisms late at night because they make me realize that people care about my site. Just from the visitor count, way over 100,000 by now, I know how much you visitors have come to love Free Stuff Online. If you're wondering what I will be doing after the end to Free Stuff Onlline, you can rest assured that I'm not going to disappear off cyberspace. I am now maintaining my second information site called Psycho-Proverb Zone which hosts a wealth of humorous and thought provoking proverbs from all over the world. Feel free to visit that site if you have time. Again, I want to apologize for the inconvenience the closure of this site may cause, but I really cannot push myself to update a site that results in so many negative incidents.
